I would stay outside of the old city. It is dirty and noisy. Akko is not exactly the best place to visit in Israel, though the Old City has a certain charm.
Missed the fact that the loft spaces weren't full ceiling height and there was not option. This hotel is one of the most expensive we stayed at in Israel on a medium budget and was not a good value without breakfast included and being in a noisy part of the city.
