this is my favourite stop on the Danube bike trail… a lovely Renaissance house with courtyard where good food is served outdoors… complete with vines on the walls and a stork‘s nest on the rooftop… a home built at a time when because of the rapids in this area cruising the Danube was utterly dangerous… and one needed help by an experienced so-called ship master or Schiffsmeister to safely do the journey… this is the man who built the house… and the owning family is proud to continue the tradition… I‘ll be delighted to come back

Super friendly, great location just off the motorway, lovely large rooms and bathrooms, clean and fresh. The staff are so friendly we will be back again for sure.

Small, very quiet village, not far from highway. 5 minute walk to Danube. Mainly occupied by bikers.
We arrived after 7. Immediately offered a salad with chicken and potatoes which was exactly what we wanted. Large room overlooking a quiet garden. Simply furnished, all very tasteful. Super walk in shower.

Beer garden is a delight and rooms where clean and airy.
Expensive compared to other hotels and guesthouses in the region.
Communal areas were not tidy or clean. Some of the breakfast cereal was left out, uncovered, for the whole day. Thankfully, the rooms were spotless.
