The treehouses are even cooler than expected! Loved the accommodations. Dinner was fabulous - good home cooked meals made with a smile:)

Would have been nice to understand a little more about lights / lamps before our visit. Bring your own headlamps and back up flashlights for the guided walk - if you take the solar lamp (provided) on the walk it will run out. That can be problematic on your 20 minute walk back to the treehouse after dinner.

The staff were incredible, especially Carlos who always helped us get to our treehouse and Alex who was an exceptional tour guide, he taught us so much and we had the most amazing day with him walking through the jungle, zip lining and kayaking. The food was also really good, especially breakfast!

La amabilidad de todo el personal. La tranquilidad en medio de la selva con simplemente los sonidos de la naturaleza. Los chicos siempre nos acompañaban hasta la casa. Nos dejaron una linterna con batería con la que podíamos tener luz en la habitación y cargar los móviles.

La distancia entre la recepción y nuesta casa. La casa estaba superbién pero tenía una cama doble, una individual y una litera, y en medio un árbol, lo cuál hacía que fuese difícil moverse y eso que éramos sólo 3 personas. Que no hubiese agua caliente, pero eso ya lo sabíamos. Los desayunos y la cena estaban muy buenos pero había poca variedad.

We stayed one night in Tanimboca in the larger tree house. This was a very cool, if expensive, experience. I'm glad we did it, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it to everyone. The treehouses are about a 20 minute walk through secondary jungle. As someone with mobility issues, it took me twice as long. It was raining when we got there, and while there are rocks and rounded pieces of wood to keep you dry, these looked very slippery so I had to walk in water and through mud. I didn't mind myself, and was lucky that there was the occasional log where I could stop and rest. Someone without mobility issues should have no problem. The cabin itself is only halfway up a tree, walking up the ladder was quite easy. Indeed, we were disappointed it wasn't higher up. It was quite ample though there wasn't much room for anything but the beds - which were comfortable enough and, if I recall correctly, had mosquito nets. The cabin was relatively bug free though we did have a cool frog visit us. It rained hard that night, and I loved the experience of listening to the rain in the middle of the jungle. It was also perhaps the only night in Colombia where we didn't hear the noise of motorcycles or other engines. Basically, this satisfied my childhood Tarzan fantasies. Breakfast was better than usual - they had yogurt and tasty granola for those of us who don't like eggs!

The cabin had an attached bathroom, but it didn't work. The flush toilet didn't flush, which meant that it stank up the cabin whenever it was open. There was no water in the sink to wash our hands/teeth. They did provide us with a jug of water, but it was still inconvenient for washing. We were quite dirty after the trek to the cabin, but taking a shower wasn't really an option. Fortunately, they do have cold showers by the reception. Unfortunately, there is no place to put your clothing and they don't have doors. The food was awful - by far the worst we had in Colombia. My husband and I had the fish, and it was undercooked. My daughter had the Amazon pizza. I think the dough is made with yuca starch instead of wheat flour, making it extremely elastic and unchewable. It's like eating gum. The toppings weren't particularly good. On the other hand, the guides brought us dinner to our cabin - I definitely would not have been able to make it back to the lodge for it. I loved staying in the jungle, but I was a bit disappointed that this is secondary (or maybe even tertiary) jungle. Environmentally, that was probably best, but it takes away from the experience of actually being in the Amazons. Finally, I didn't like how expensive the room was - though the price did include dinner, a guide to take us to our room and a night jungle walk we chose to not do.
