About this house rental
Located in Colmar, this lovely house for $101 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Our cottage is new (end of 2014). It is located in a very quiet area, 10 minutes walk from the historic center of Colmar. We have converted our barn at the bottom of the garden into a charming gîte. 'La Grange' has a wooden frame facade and is fully renovated to BBC (low consumption building) standards. The gîte is located on the first floor and has a surface of 75 m2. It is fully autonomous and has all the comforts (TV, internet- Wifi -Radio, etc ...). On the ground floor, there is a spacious airlock which will allow you to deposit your belongings, your jackets, etc ... A staircase gives you access to the first floor. The cottage is composed of 2 bedrooms ('Charlie and Camille') delicately decorated, a spacious living room of more than 30 m2 and a fully equipped open kitchen. The bathroom and WC are separate. We provide our visitors with a closed garage space located on the ground floor of the gîte. Thus, you can easily leave the car safely in our property and move on foot to the historic center of Colmar in less than 15 minutes. Our cottage is located in a very quiet area with all local shops (bakery, food restaurants, supermarkets, etc ...) It can accommodate up to 4 people (two bedrooms). You can easily discover and stroll through the alleys of Colmar, a true compilation of our region with its traditions, its Christmas markets, its internationally renowned museums (Unterlinden, Toy Museum, Bartholdi), its festivals (music, cinema). The city knows no downtime and is a real architectural gem. If you prefer the great outdoors, the Vosges and the Black Forest will welcome you in under an hour's drive for beautiful hikes to the peaks and the many lakes. Otherwise, the city of Strasbourg can be reached in an hour by car (or 30 minutes by train) and Mulhouse and its museums (Train, Automobile) in 30 minutes by motorway, access to which is very close to rental. You can of course also discover the magnificent 'Route du Vin' and its countless Alsatian villages such as Riquewihr, Kaysersberg, Eguisheim (elected most beautiful village in France in 2013), Ribeauvillé, etc ... We will be able to advise you and indicate the 'good addresses' in the region. And after a busy day, why not take advantage of the garden and the barbecue at your disposal as well as the table tennis table and various games for children and for adults too !!

Lovely modern apartment in a quiet area of Colmar. Very well and thoughtfully equipped with most things that you require for your stay. The place was immaculate with modern touches like the electronic windows and blinds controlled by remote controls which are placed throughout. Good sized bathroom with a good shower. Apartment is accessed through electronic gates and you have use of a garage. The hosts Christophe and Isabel were very friendly and helpful. Apartment is just an easy 10 minutes walk from Colmar centre and near to supermarkets and local bakeries. Lots of local information is in the apartment and Christophe gave us plenty of tips and where to go and what to do.
We would highly recommend this apartment and will be passing details on to our friends and family as it is definitely worth it.

We had such a delightful stay here over Christmas with our two little children. Christophe and his wife were such kind and warm hosts. We felt like we had a little home away from home for the holiday, which was so special. We were so cozy and comfortable in the lofted apartment and loved having a little yard space to play! This is a great location for visiting Colmar - an easy walk into town, close to grocery stores, bakeries, etc, but a nice quiet neighborhood. We would absolutely recommend this lovely house, great location, and welcoming hosts!

The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood about a10 minute walk to Colmar old town and a 30 minute walk to train station. There are also nearby buses. Chistophe was very helpful with information about Colmar and giving us information and directions.
The apartment was immaculate and private.
Colmar was also a great locatio to travel to Strasbourg, Mulhoose and other small towns in Alsace. We would definitely stay in this apartment again. And highly recommend it.

The property was very much as described, no hidden surprises. Our hosts were very welcoming and let us leave our car at midday on arrival while we went into the city for lunch. Both Christophe and Isabelle showed us round, explained everything, and gave us tips on what we could visit. As hosts they were faultless.
The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped and the bathroom facilities were spacious and well-appointed.
A key factor in our choice of this property was the ability to leave our car off-road, behind locked gates. The provision of a space in the garage was an added bonus. Tip for larger right-hand drive cars - reverse into the driveway and garage otherwise the central pillar in the garage makes it difficult to open the driver's door.
We had a great time in Alsace and would not hesitate in recommending this property as an excellent base for a visit, particularly if you do not want to have to eat out every day.

The property was clean, convenient and well appointed. We found Colmar, Strasbourg and a few small villages in wine country of special interest. Owners Isabelle and Christophe were good communicators in French and English and we’re very friendly and helpful.

Excellent well equipped property in a good location
Very well equipped and spotlessly clean property. The owners, while onsite in their own house, are discreet, but very helpful if you are wanting advice on where to go. Easy walking distance to Colmar old town, and approx 30 mins walk to the train station. Lots of lovely small villages and towns in the area to explore.

Die Ferienwohnung war sehr gut eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Lage war nahe des Stadtzentrums (10 - 15 Minuten Fußweg), Bäcker gab es in 10 Minuten Fußweg. Es ist sehr ruhig in der Wohngegend, aber nahe des Stadtzentrums. Die Gastgeber waren wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit und hatten viele Tips für uns. Es war insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung in zentrumsnaher Lage
Wir waren bereits zum 3. Mal in der Ferienwohnung, wie immer hatten wir einen sehr herzlichen Empfang durch die Vermieter, die Wohnung ist weiterhin in einem 1A-Zustand, die Nähe zum Zentrum und die Einstellmöglichkeit für den PKW sind sehr überzeugende Argumente für diese Wohnung.
Wir können die Wohnung ausnahmslos weiterempfehlen und werden auch in Zukunft dort unseren Urlaub gern verbringen.

Geweldige plek
Gezellig vakantiehuis in Colmar op 10 minuten loopafstand van het centrum. Erg leuk ingericht met complete inventaris. Zeer vriendelijke gastheer Christophe en gastvrouw Isabelle. Colmar is een prachtige stad met veel terrasjes en restaurants. In de omgeving erg leuk om alle dorpjes aan de Route des Vins te bezichtigen met alle bloemenpracht. Ook Strasbourg niet vergeten.
Wij hebben met z’n drieën een geweldige week gehad.

La proximité de la petite Venise est juste parfaite (10 minutes à pieds).

Très belle découverte de l'Alsace
Les propriétaires sont des gens très accueillants et à l'écoute. Leur maison est remarquablement bien entretenue et nous y avons passé un très beau séjour. La maison est bien placée dans un quartier calme et proche du centre ville. Colmar est une destination idéale pour découvrir l'Alsace et les Vosges.
Nous remercions chaleureusement la famille Fishbach pour leur sens de l'hospitalité et leurs bons conseils de visites.

Tolles neu eingerichtetes eigenes Appartement / Haus
Als erstes möchten wir uns bei Familie Fischbach für den herzlichen Empfang bedanken!!! Die Wohnung war sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, wo man sich direkt wohlfühlte. Alles war mit dem notwendigen ausgestattet, was direkt Urlaub bedeutete. 2 getrennte Schlafzimmer/ separates Bad/ WC. Für 4 Personen bestens geeignet. Sehr ruhige Wohngegend. Die Lage zum Centrum betrug ca. 15Minuten (schön gemütlich)zu Fuß. Auto stand den ganzen Aufenthalt in der Garage. Wurde einfach zum bummeln in der Stadt nicht benötigt. 3 Bäckereien im Umfeld von ca. 8 Minuten zu erreichen. Supermarkt (Auchan) ebenfalls zu Fuß zu erreichen. Hallenbad ca. 5 Gehminuten vom Haus entfernt. Alles in allem waren wir mit der Unterkunft sehr zufrieden und können diese für einen Aufenthalt in Colmar nur empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

Colmar is an amazingly gorgeous town with even more beauty to see just outside of the town. Why stay in a hotel when you can stay in an amazing home away from home! Very enjoyable stay
Christophe and Isabelle were very pleasant hosts and the property reflected their attention to detail. It was very clean, well equiped and furnished, and an ideal location for visiting Colmar or the very pretty surrounding villages. In fact everything in Colmar was within walking distance.
It is also an ideal spot for venturing further afield, in to the German Black Forest or the Alsace Vosges, or north to Stasbourg and south to Mulhouse or Belfort.

Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war alles da, was wir brauchten - sogar ein effektiver Ventilator für manche heiße Tage. Die Nutzung des Gartens und der Garage und die ruhige, aber zentrale Lage (in weniger als 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichte man die Altstadt) haben uns auch sehr gefallen. Ein besonderes Dankeschön an die Vermieter, die immer sehr freundlich waren und gute Tipps für uns hatten.

Die Ferienwohnung ist prima ausgestattet. Die Vermieter sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist gut. Mit Balkon wäre es noch schöner. Auf der Wiese sitzt man in Sichtweite der Terasse der Vermieter - geht so. Sonst ist alles prima.
