The apartment itself was large and easily accommodated my whole family (4 adults, 2 kids). The view was absolutely spectacular. The kitchen was pretty bare bones in terms of basic spices etc (lots of times rentals have items that former renters have left behind, not so much here). Some of the electrical outlets were hanging off the wall and had crumbling plaster under them - wasn't sure how safe it was to plug anything in!
The host was extremely helpful in her communication and helped us order taxis and sort out other details. The apartment complex itself and surrounding beach is beautiful - so relaxing, well maintained and truly a paradise. The only thing I would say is that you are quite far removed from everything (including grocery stores) and it was difficult to get transportation to the nearest city. We were there at a very busy time of year (NYE) so even a 10 minute drive to Coronado took us 55 minutes in bumper to bumper traffic on the highway. I would suggest renting a car if staying here so you can easily get around.
