My family stayed here for 5 nights. Location and check-in we're great. The house was easy to find and located in a nice quiet neighborhood. The furniture and decor was minimalistic which worked well for limiting what our kids could get into. The yard was nice a large however the fence was broken so a small child or dog can easily get out. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had the essential cookware/utensils, and the appliances (including washer/dryer) seemed new. The carpet was stained and there was hair on the toilets/tub but after we gave the bathrooms a wipe down it was much better. Jason was very quick and responsive and very easy to work with.

My family and I are frequent VRBO guests (usually every 2-3 months we travel, and use VRBO as our preference on lodging). Although the host was very communicative from the get go, the condition was the residence was...less than sub par. From the moment we pulled in the driveway (night time, around 11pm), we were greeted by a broken fence (this is what you saw immediately pulling in the driveway). Upon gathering our items after a long day of travel, we were immediately greeted at the door by a horrendous smell. A smell of old, un-maintained, moldy house. Upon further (quick) inspection (we were all exhausted from a day of travel and it was late), I immediately noticed one of the blinds covering a window in the dining room was broken in half. I immediately messaged the host to let him know of my findings, and I (very reluctantly) went to sleep. I woke up to a message stating that he was sorry and they had someone leave the premises the same day as we arrived, and he'd have a maintenance guy come out. Upon further inspection the following day, the problems with this home and it's cleanliness just got worse and worse. EVERY wall in the house had some sort of scuff/mark on it, as if furniture was moved around without care for the home. Stains on the carpets, that I swear are blood, but the host insisted they were juice stains. Dust so thick on the refrigerator, I truly don't think it's EVER been cleaned. Refrigerator reaked of a pungent odor. Grease caked up on the over, stove top was dirty. Blinds over kitchen sink were so dirty what was once white (or even off white) was now yellow, and caked of brown residue. Cracks under the cupboards full of dirt, dust, grime and mildew. All the blinds in kitchen were broken, one way or another. One of the windows in the kitchen ( adjacent from the kitchen table, all of the window panes on said window were broken). One of the upstairs bedrooms had someone's old luggage randomly placed in the closet. Said closet also contains a small trapped door, which is not locked, and my curious 4 year old opened to find exposed insulation, movie cases, food wrappers, etc. just tossed about). The room itself was quite creepy as well. The main (not master) bathroom had dirt, mold and mildew caked up between the flooring and tile, next to the shower, along with someone's hair. We were told someone would be coming to clean, never showed up. The long and the short of it, it looked like this was a flop house turned VRBO. BEWARE!!

House is in a pretty good location with proximity to lake Norman, while still being within ½ hour of downtown Charlotte. Jason was very responsive with all communication and checked in on us throughout the weekend. We brought up the desire for more kitchen supplies and bathroom linens & essentials that are normally found in house rentals (salt/pepper, spices, extra washclothes, soap/shampoo, etc.) and he said that would be something they’d consider to improve upon. We made it work but just verify what is available before you go so you know how to best prepare for your stay. House could use a few repairs and tlc to take it to the next level but it suited our needs well for the long weekend we were there.

Rented this property this weekend. The house was very clean. The pictures posted were accurate. The host was very nice and accommodating. 5 guests and we were able to spread out and relax. I would rent this property again.
