About this house rental

The Mönchgut Peninsula is located in the southeastern part of the island of Rügen. At the junction between the two lies the Baltic Sea resort of Baabe, which is often referred to as the gateway to Mönchgut precisely because of its location. Today, Baabe is considered one of the most attractive places on the island, as evidenced by the numerous awards it has received as the most beautiful spa and resort town on Rügen. Its proximity to Lake Sellin and the Baaber Heide offers recreational opportunities such as biking and hiking. For seaside recreation, especially during the summer months, the fine-sand beach—a major attraction that stretches all the way to the neighboring seaside resorts of Sellin and Göhren—is ideal. All three seaside resorts are also connected by the beach promenade running between the dunes and the coastal forest. In this pine forest, just about 60 m from the beach, lies the idyllic log cabin “Dünennest.” The natural exterior is carried through to the interior of the vacation home thanks to the selection of materials. You’ll also be surprised by the brightness and warmth of the rooms. You can enjoy the immediate proximity to and the view of the Baltic Sea from the windows on the upper floor. The town center, with its numerous restaurants, cafés, and shopping options, is about 300 m away. There you’ll also find the spa park with its open-air stage and the spa administration office. A stop on the “Uns Lütt Bahn” is located just 30 meters from the house. This allows you to explore the Baltic Sea resort comfortably and free of charge.

Vacation Home Dünennest 108b – Strandpark – approx. 60 m from the beach:

The “Dünennest” beach house offers approximately 65 square meters of space for up to 4 adults and 1 toddler up to 3 years old in a travel crib. You enter the vacation home through a small foyer and find yourself immediately in the large living area. From here, you can access the adjacent kitchen and dining area. The new kitchen unit, installed in 2021, is equipped with a dishwasher, a sink, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a ceramic cooktop, a combination oven/microwave, a combination coffee maker with a Senseo pad machine, a kettle, a toaster, and, of course, all the necessary kitchen utensils. This way, you can relax and enjoy breakfast at the dining area and prepare your favorite meals together in the evening, whatever takes your fancy. Furthermore, the first floor features a bathroom with natural light, a shower (with a low threshold), a sink, a toilet, a hair dryer, and a cosmetic mirror. To relax comfortably, you can take a seat in the sofa nook in front of the pellet fireplace, read a book by the warm light of the reading lamp, or entertain yourself with the smart TV or the mini stereo system with an USB port and Bluetooth. Free internet access is also available. A staircase leads up to the open, light-filled loft. Here, you can unwind in one of the two recliners or on the comfortable couch, or gaze out over the dunes toward the sea. The couch also serves as a sleeping area for two people. In just a few seconds, the couch converts into a double bed (1.40 m x 1.90 m) with a proper mattress. A separate bedroom is located right next door. It is equipped with a double bed (2.00 m x 2.00 m), adjustable slatted frames, a TV, a wardrobe, and dressers. All windows on the upper floor have exterior blinds that block out light completely. The windows in the bedrooms and the bathroom are fitted with insect screens. A stair gate for young guests is provided. In front of the house is the south-facing terrace, which can be covered by an electric awning. This allows you to sit outside in any weather and listen to the sound of the sea. If you’d like, you can also use the barbecue area with a shared grill located between your house and the neighbor’s. A free parking space (No. 108b) is located directly in front of the house. You can store any bicycles you’ve rented or brought with you in the storage room inside the house. One pet is welcome for a fee. You can book an initial linen package (complete set of bed linens, 1 shower towel, 2 small hand towels) for an additional fee up to 14 days before arrival, or supplement it with your own linens. If you book 2 or more packages, you’ll receive 1 dish towel and 1 shower mat as a one-time bonus.

The advance payment for utility costs is calculated based on individual usage (electricity: 0.51 euros/kWh) and refunded after departure.
