Boasting a front and back deck and a location within walking distance of the beach and jetty, Monkey Bar is perfect for a family vacation or a romantic rendezvous. This contemporary beach house on stilts was recently remodeled in 2022, contains all new beds and furniture, and has been fully repainted, interior and exterior. It comes with modern essentials, including a full kitchen, washer/dryer, a jetted tub in the main bath, a brand-new central air-conditioning installation, and a Peloton exercise room (must have own Peloton account). The kitchen has butcher block countertops, a professional pallet wall, a coffee maker and blender, new gourmet pots and pans, and loads of cabinets filled with kitchen supplies. WiFi and smart TVs provide online access and digital entertainment. This beach house is fully equipped with indoor and outdoor games and puzzles, baby/child items, and all the fun beach toys, boogie boards, towels, and coolers you’ll need to make this the beach trip of a lifetime! Enjoy gorgeous sunrises and sunsets from the beautiful decks while drinking a glass of wine or having a cocktail, grill and eat on the deck with ocean views, have a family game night, or play outdoor games and chill downstairs under the house in the shade or the large fenced lot. You will have more than enough space in Monkey Bar to plan fishing, swimming, surfing, and boating. Conveniently located near the boat launch - Monkey Bar has it all! THINGS TO KNOW Due to fluctuating tap water quality in the Village of Surfside Beach, it is recommended to bring bottled water for drinking and/or cooking during your stay. During times of elevated water contaminants, water coming from the faucets and toilets may have a yellow tint. The water is safe for bathing. Parties are prohibited. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Security camera details: Facing the parking area in the front of the house On the top deck Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. The house is absolutely adorable! A lot of thought was put into it. It was clean and inviting upon entering. All kinds of things you didn’t know you needed was available to use while there. However, when we got there the A/C was set to 85…in August…in Texas. We had to spend the next 5 hrs away from the house for it to cool to an appropriate temperature. Do NOT leave any kind of food out on the counters because the ants are terrible. There is a lovely space below the house with family fun things to do but the mosquitoes will take off with you. Anytime the car door opened 15 skeeters got in with you. Trash days should be covered in on-boarding instead of checkout. The painted stairs going up to front door really needs some grip tape for safety. The roku tv in the living room was not in guest mode, so we couldn’t use it. I’m not sure how long it was since turning on the faucets in the house but they spit and sputtered with brown water for the first 20 min or so before we could take showers. There is a dryer listed as an amenity but did not work. We did thoroughly enjoy ourselves while here. Just little things.

We loved everything about this beach house from the complimentary toiletries to the plush beds. This is a family friendly home. There are games, beach toys, folding wagon, pack and play, and a high chair. I forgot to buy detergent, dishwasher pods, and dish soap but the monkey bar had me covered. We will definitely be renting this home in the future!
