Summary: The nearest public beach access path begins about a two minute walk from Rock House and crosses the dunes to the sand. This beachside home sleeps up to 10 registered guests and offers a covered wraparound deck with partial Gulf views, a fully fenced pet yard, 500 Mbps WiFi and a dedicated workspace.
The Space:
- Bedroom 1: one king bed, smart TV and storage.
- Bedroom 2: one queen bed and smart TV.
- Bunk room: two twin over full bunk beds.
- Bathrooms: two full bathrooms, one half bath and a hot outdoor shower.
- Living area: open plan seating, board games, smart TV, Apple TV and streaming apps.
- Kitchen: appliances, Keurig and drip coffee makers, cookware, basic spices and breakfast bar.
- Dining: indoor table seating plus deck seating for outdoor meals.
- Laundry: full size washer and dryer.
- Outdoor space: covered wraparound deck with partial Gulf views, fenced yard, charcoal grill and picnic table.
Guest Access:
You’ll receive a unique lock code for self check in. Early check in or late checkout requires advance written approval and is charged at $20 per hour when approved. Park up to two vehicles only in the designated rock driveway. Do not park under the house, on the grass or on the street. Boat or trailer parking requires advance written approval and confirmed space. A nearby public boardwalk crosses the dunes to the beach.

Rock House is on the quieter beach side of Surfside. Off season stays are well suited to fishing, bird watching, remote work and local community events. Nearby options include Seahorse Bar & Grill, Beachfront Deck Bar & Grill, Surfside Jetty Park, Swan Lake and Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge. Lake Jackson is about 10 miles away for groceries and shopping.

- Bath towels, linens and basic starter supplies are provided. Please bring beach towels.
- Up to two cats or dogs under 50 pounds each may be allowed with advance approval. All pets must be declared before arrival and applicable pet fees apply. Service animals are handled under platform policy.
- The property has exterior security cameras facing the parking area.

Location couldn't have been more perfect. We loved the deck and the captains' chairs for slow mornings with a nice cup of coffee and a book. The bunk bed room received rave reviews from our kids too. We will definitely be coming back!

The time and ease to get to the beach was great. The king size bed was comfortable but the queen was to hard. The appliances and air conditioning worked well. Some of the pots and pans need upgrades (especially cookie sheets). Overall we had a great time.

The house itself was great, very nice furnishings and clean. The yard was great for the fur babies and the deck was good. However there was no laundry soap, no dishwasher soap, no water in fridge, no drinks, no coffee pods as this was all in the information that was sent me. Had issues connecting to internet and trouble getting the code correct. Will I book this property again, no I will not stay here again.
