ROCK HOUSE is located on the beach side with a super quick one-minute walk over the dunes bridge right to the beach. Sleeps 8, 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Plush queen beds in both the master and the 2nd bedroom and 2 comfy, adorable twin beds in 3rd room. Beautifully decorated, high end finishes, full kitchen with all new appliances. Keurig and standard coffee pot. Smart tv's in living room and all bedrooms. Connect to Netflix or any other app to watch your favorite shows and movies. Free WIFI. Free access to full size washer and dryer. High quality towels and linens. The perfect spot for coffee is on the front deck with views of the crashing ocean waves. Outdoor shower. Also, included is an outdoor BBQ pit! Fenced in yard, perfect for the kids. Come stay and play! To do ~ Rent a golf cart and enjoy the golf cart path right from the house. You can ride it to the beach, crabbing pier, restaurants, bars, and food trucks. Less than 2 miles to the nearest boat launch. Other things to do in Surfside, are to visit the splash pad, Jetty Park, take a dolphin tour, deep sea fishing, surfing lesson, paddle boarding, massages, golfing, diving and more. ROCK HOUSE is close to everything Surfside has to offer! As well as a 30-minute coastline drive to Galveston for other fun activities. Lake Jackson is 15 minutes away and has everything, HEB, Walmart, Target, the mall, Chick Fil A and more. Favorite places to eat ~ Beachfront Deck Bar and Grill and Seahorse Bar and Grill, literally on the beach. Amazing views! Surfin Ritas Daiquiri's to go. Red snapper Inn for a more high-end seafood dish. Longtime local, Kitty's Purple Cow for burgers or an amazing breakfast.

Less than 1 block from the beach.
Walking distance to restaurants.
Liquor store right around the corner. Unit is furnished with everything you need. We picked up three bags of great sea shells.

The property was as described. We enjoyed our stay there and found the beach was just a couple minute walk away. The kitchen had the items we needed. Owner had a regular coffee maker delivered as requested though it arrived on day two. The couch and the beds were comfortable along with the central air conditioning and fans. A PVC pipe disconnect of the water supply was addressed and fixed by maintenance quickly after our call for help. One issue on the downside was the fact that both toilets had flush components in the tanks, that needed to be replaced. We had to fix the toilet flush mechanisms several times during the stay. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation at the Rock House. Thank you Johnny.

Overall, the property is very nice and the walk to the beach is quite easy. The accommodations inside are clean, family friendly and the lay out is nice. It easily held a family of 7 and provided enough seating for everyone for meals and for entertainment nights inside. You're close to the 'town' which made it easy to run quick errands for the few things we forgot. There is also filtered water at the sink, which made cooking easy as well as water for coffee. All of the kitchenware we needed was provided, and I loved the wine opener!
The only area that needs some updating is the outside of the home. The patio furniture is rough and the gliders are broken. The sea air has taken it's toll on the wood and the outside of the home which is to be expected close to the beach, but updated pictures would be beneficial.
Communication with the owner was fantastic! He was quick to respond and provide suggestions and had even reached out to us when another home let them know about an issue.
We loved our time here, and the family had a lot of fun!

Had a retirement party in Freeport on Saturday and decided to rent a beach house for the weekend. The house was central to the location. It was perfect for the weekend. Loved the fenced in yard for our dog to go outside. The property was clean and the lay out was great. Quite cul-de-sac away from the Beach but within walking distance. Only wished the place had a drip coffee maker and all would gave been perfect.

This property was not well cleaned at the time of my arrival, and had minimal amenities such as clean towels in the bathrooms or kitchen, soap, etc. The check in process was confusing as I was told I would receive an email with a code to open the front door, which I did not receive leading to having to wait for the owner to contact me with instructions. The unit had no coffee maker, only a K cup style machine which the owner was kind enough to charge for each cup with no other options. Also, they had several soft drinks and bottled water options in the refrigerator for a small outrageous fee. The water from the faucets smelled and was not undrinkable and no filtered water options were provided. AND, to make it more interesting, a week after my stay I received an additional charge of $200 for parking under the house, which I did not do. Overall this stay was not worth the charges and is apparently a scam! STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE! Book one of the 100s of other options and let this one sit empty!!

I would definitely rent this place again. You just wanna bring mosquito spray. They bite hard Maybe also bring bottled water to drink cause the water isn’t exactly clear. I loved the soft beds and having a washer n dryer were helpful when clothes got dirty. I give it 5 outta 5 stars

A great house and area for a family beach getaway. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. Beach access was also a short walk from the house. We plan on booking again in the future.

A very nice, clean house in a good neighborhood. The beach decor brings a great touch to the house. The beds are so comfy, plenty of towels, kitchen has everything you need. The beach is close by. Buccee right up the road, many restaurants and convenient stores very close. We would stay again.

First if all the host, responds and answers questions ASAP! You have a partial view of the ocean, great location and proximity to jetty for fishing (under 5 mins). Also stores restaurants, bait shops are mins away and the beach is seconds away!

The property was exactly as shown. Short walk to the beach was nice, especially since it was crowded and only certain access points were open. We did not have any major issues that needed to resolved. We will definitely book this place again if we plan a beach weekend. Well worth the price.

Excellent getaway!
This is a great place to stay if you want a quiet getaway. Love the walking access to the beach, and the neighborhood is nice with little traffic. The house is the perfect size for bringing some family or friends, and the amenities in the house are great for anything from cooking/grilling at the house to watching a movie in the evening. There’s also an outdoor shower area and a fenced yard for pets or small kids. We will definitely visit again!
