This is a beautiful house that we enjoyed staying in however we did have issues with both the Wi-fi and hot water. When we contacted the host about the wi-fi they did not fix the issue and provided limited responses. We did not complaint about the hot water as the downstairs had consistent hot water. It would run out after a few people took showers in the upstairs bath. Even with these issues, we enjoyed staying in the property and found it to be beautifully maintained.

This house was one of thr best homes we have stayed in. They thought of everything that a guest would need...the kitchen was well stocked, everything was clean, and the space is gorgeous. Absolutely will be coming back.

We loved everything about this home. I would just sit and take in the detail of the wood work. From one room to another things were made, decorated and supplied for all needs. The location of the home was perfect too.

We stayed at the Tree House for our daughter's wedding weekend at Cold Spring Farm in Alton Bay! The Tree House and Cold Spring Farm were perfect! The Tree House offered plenty of space for all 8 of us. We enjoyed the multiple places (kitchen, living room, decks, porch) to get ready, retreat, relax and enjoy each other's company and celebrate the wonderful weekend. We took some beautiful walks and hikes. We were close to other wedding guest and about 20 minutes from the wedding venue! Wish we could relive the weekend again! We highly recommend the tree house for a vacation anytime of year or for a local wedding/event.

Home was fantastic - beautifully appointed and spacious. They even decorated for Christmas (a full tree and small decorative items throughout - the reindeer in a rocking chair was a favorite!). The local home manager (Josh, I believe) was responsive/informative and the owner made great efforts to ensure a comfortable stay for us after a recent storm had knocked out the power (there is a generator so all was functional!). We had a wonderful time together-cooked a lovely family meal, appreciated all of the child-friendly features like bed rails on top bunks and play set in the backyard (the kids still played outside, even in the cold!), ventured to nearby Gunstock mountain for tubing and enjoyed local restaurants/attractions as well. So, the home was fabulous, the owner was overly hospitable and the local NH manager was attentive/informative given the power situation. However, my experience with Vacasa might be the last. I received a text mid-day Christmas Eve saying we could have early check in. Then at 3:40 (check in is 4pm) I receive a text saying that the power might be out and that Vacasa is reimbursing people if they delay their arrival. I texted back saying this was really no notice (family was driving 5hrs to get there) and was there power? No response. Family arrives and there’s power. Christmas morning at 7:30am I receive a call and voicemail from Vacasa saying I need to turn the heat down (thermostats were subsequently overridden) or the “butane” would run out. Called back and rep could not tell me what was going on, why I needed to turn heat down or how long “butane” would last. Advised me to have the heat at 55 degrees (it was 21 degrees outside in NH that day). I told them I had children arriving that day and I was headed there myself so I needed to know if I could use the heat for the elderly/children in our group. There were follow up text communications, equally confusing and uninformative. Eventually, the local manager called me as confused as I was - no one had told him of the situation or that I had been contacted. I told him about the morning of phone calls, texts and stress and he called the owner to find out what was going on. Turns out, the generator runs on Propane and, having been out for days, there was concern of that combined with heat/fireplace/etc. Owner had called for delivery and just refrain from using the fireplaces until delivery which arrived Christmas Day. Lots of stress over the miscommunications from Vacasa

What an amazing home. You can tell it was created with thought and love. Whether you are there to relax and reset or use it as an amazing and complete home base, this will not disappoint. The kitchen is a dream to cook in with ample space and all the equipment you might need. The open floor plan allows you to talk to whoever might be there easily but the distance is enough that you don’t have to interrupt each other. Want to eat while enjoying nature but without the worry of mosquitoes? Try the enclosed back porch with large screened windows and door to open so it is breezy and you can scent the woodsy air. A little stuffy out there? Turn on the ceiling fans. Too hot one day? Use the central air conditioning. A cool evening? The fireplace will give you ambience. The upstairs is full of amazing nook and cranny rooms that are sure to please. The front porches give you peak a boo views of the lake that I’m certain will increase with the cooler seasons. Looking for a relaxing bath? What a tub! The type to shower? The luxurious shower which feels like you’re in nature but with amazingly hot water will probably up your shower time and relax your muscles after a day of hiking, swimming or boating in the area. Fancy a hike? Mt. Major is minutes away. Don’t want to cook? Same with restaurants-minutes to good food. The house is breathtaking and very soothing. A place that can be a vacation in and of itself or the most amazing of home bases in the area. The Tree House is a treat.
