We loved this house! Beautiful views, beautiful comfortable home with two living spaces so everyone can spread out. Nice little beach space with a fire pit. U-shaped dock to keep the boat nice and secure. Owner Paul very easy to deal with. Highly recommend!!

Alton Bay is my favorite location on the lake and the house is perfect for my family. Paul is great to work with and will hopefully rent again next year.

The layout of the house is great. Plenty of room for all. Well stocked kitchen. Patio area nice place to relax and grill. Lawn area for lounging or playing lawn games. Our boat fit nicely in the u shaped dock. Everyone had a great week.

Plenty of room for all

Pros: great location, beautiful view of Lake Winnipesaukee, ample parking, two car garage, quiet area, comfortably sleeps ten, 2.5 baths, open kitchen to dining/living room with views of the lake, large dinning area, second kitchen with extra refrigerator was a huge help, large assortment of pots/pans, central air was great for humid days, partially fenced in grassy area for kids to play, sandy beach good for kids, also had a fire pit and wood was supplied, but beach a bit rocky for swimming, bring water shoes, a good sized dock, our 20 ft boat fit well Cons: overall cleanliness could be improved, downstairs bathroom was especially in need of cleaning upon arrival A few problems arose while staying here, but owner was responsive and quickly had necessary repairs completed. Overall had a great week, would definitely rent again.

I love this place, some reviews say that that it is outdated, but you can clearly see that the owner is making upgrades. This property was spacious and really nice for two family living. they dock and private beach were really nice... Great location on the Winni. Views were awesome. Rent this place before the owner finished upgrades, because once they are completed, the price and demand will increase.

We had a fantastic week at this Alton Bay house. The views are really gorgeous! The yard and dock are great. The interior of the house is a bit dated but they recently added central air which saved us as the first 2 days were over 95 degrees. It was a really great location with a beautiful grassy area. We would go back in a heartbeat!

The property had all the amenities to make our stay a comfortable one. Great size kitchen and rooms.

Another fantastic vacation at this property. Two families of 4 live comfortably with all amenities of home. Waterfront with dock, lawn for sunning and a game of corn hole, and comforts of home. Highly recommend

Absolutely loved this house! 3 couples that have known each other forever rented it together. Expected a cottage, and found it to be a house! Tremendous amount of room. Had everything we needed. Clean, comfortable, beautiful views. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. Had all our meals there, and only went out for ice cream at Alton Bay which was a great place. My buddy loved having his boat feet away at the dock. Enjoyed days on the water, and evenings on the shore. Would love to go back, and highly recommend this rental!

Beautiful location right on Winnipesaukee with a great dock and backyard. The house itself has so much potential, but really fails to meet it. We went up with 2 families, 4 adults and 5 kids. Sleeping room was very comfortable, but the lack of air conditioning and fans made for an extremely hot and sweaty week (even vacationing at the end of August). Not sure if the house was actually cleaned before our arrival, as two family members sliced their feet on broken glass within the first few days of being at the house. We did run out of gas for the grill and called the number on the fridge. We went out for a hike and came back to a new propane tank. Great to know that any major issues are solved quickly. As it is a rental house, it is totally understandable that it is not up to date and in perfect condition. But there were quite a few major things wrong that affected the comfort of the home. This house has the ability to be an awesome rental. The location really is extremely beautiful and the sunny yard was awesome. But due to the issues we did have, we unfortunately won't be back.

The house was great for the two families, one with older and one with younger children. Great size and great location! We would definitly stay at this property again!

This is a huge place with lots of space, which is great. The dock and grounds were well kept and the house was in pretty good condition. The sprinklers went off at least twice a day, once time we knew about (2 pm) and once in the morning which we found out about early on. I wish that we could have limited the sprinklers to once a day, it felt a little wasteful and the grass seemed like it was always wet. There was a bug issue in the kitchen - not roaches or anything, but moths, gnats and other little flyers found their way in as soon as the sun went down. Anything left out (like baby bottles, or other items) had dead bugs in them when we got up the next morning. Even clean dishes in the dishwasher had bugs on them when we took them out. While that was a little gross, I will say that the rest of the experience was good. The sandy area was nice for play, but not suitable for young kids as a "beach" where you can enter the water gradually. This was a nice place for families, but not for young kids (crawlers, toddlers) - several dangerous areas for really little ones. Pros: Lots of space, sandy play area, house in generally good shape, location, nice dock and outdoor area Cons: Flying bugs, sandy area wasn't really a beach persay, not friendly for little kids All in all, a decent experience. While I like the house generally, we wouldn't return until our kids were much older and the bug issue would have to be corrected.

We are a family of 10 and stayed here for a week. The house was perfect! It had 3 bathrooms & 4 bedrooms. There was lots of space for our 8 kids. It has 2 docks the kids jumped off of & a small sandy beach. We would rent this house again.

Arrived on Saturday afternoon as was pleasantly surprised to find this house was very large, had an open concept living area, very functional kitchen space and big windows to highlight beautiful Lake Winni. There was plenty of space for our party of seven. There are two bedrooms upstairs (King and 2 twins) and two bedrooms downstairs (2 Queens) as well as many couches and dinning tables. There is also a full bath in the upstairs bedroom (King) and an 1/2 bath near the kitchen, downstairs, there is a full bath as well as another kitchen (we used it as a wet bar as it had a refrigerator, and easy access to the back patio with amazing views of Lake). The home was surrounded by plush greens and we felt like we were on our very own island, which was wonderful. We enjoyed the fire pit, patio furniture, star glazing, and laughs each night so much that it felt like we were camping (Smores, yummy!), yet we had great sleeping quarters. We rented a plontoon boot from Bayside Inn (right down the street on RT 11D for the week, and we were so glad we did, as Lake Winni is so huge, and you don't even realize it until you are out on the water. Took a boat ride to Wolfeboro and enjoyed an afternoon shopping and dining, visited a few sand bars and played frisbee, and took a ride to other area attractions (Weirs drive-inn, Fun Spot, etc.) as well as climbed Mt. Major. The only cons were: sprinkler system going off during the day and getting everything wet (wood, towels) and we had to stay off the lawn during this time, a small plumbing issue, and landscapers showing up on a Tuesday morning unannounced (Realtor helped solve both issues very quickly, and I suggested they post when the landscapers arrival day and time are so that their guests are surprised like we were). I would recommend this home to a friend or relative, as well as return again to enjoy this oasis in Alton Bay.
