Kalandara Resort Lombok

Great location and the rooms were fantastic.

My daughter and I loved staying at the Kalandara Resort! We had a two bedroom villa with a pool and it was huge :-). The food at the restaurant was lovely, be mindful that the servings are quite generous. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. We had massages, scrubs and facials at the day spa and they were very relaxing and reasonably priced. If you want a more private place to stay in Lombok, Kalandara is it!

The only suggestion I'd like to make, is that they update the towels. Some of them were a little worn and probably haven't been replaced for a while. Maybe change the turn down service to a little later, as most people are getting ready to go out for dinner at that time.

The Views from the room were great, all the staff were excellent.

What’s not mentioned on the website, on arrival you’re supplied with ear plugs due to the local Mosque’s prayer times which start at 0500am and continue several times until 1900pm. These Mosques are very loud and wake you even with the ear plugs

it’s a nice resort, staffs are super friendly. Restaurant is nice.

1. We booked a two-bedroom villa, but unfortunately the private pool was extremely dirty upon check-in — we could not even see the pool stairs clearly. The staff informed us it would take about one hour to clean; however, even after two days, the pool remained in the same condition. The staff members were very kind and made multiple attempts to clean it, but the issue was never resolved. They offered four hours of complimentary massage and allowed us to use another one-bedroom villa’s pool, which we appreciated, but this did not fully compensate for the inconvenience of not being able to use the pool in the villa we booked. 2. Additionally, when the staff member escorted us to our villa and showed us around, he entered both the villa and our bedroom wearing dirty shoes. I politely asked him to remove his shoes, but he did not do so and only apologized verbally. 3. Lastly, the villa was extremely noisy. There was loud singing coming from a nearby mosque that continued throughout the night without interruption. We understand that it was Ramadan and respect religious practices; however, the noise made it impossible for us to sleep. Although the hotel provided earplugs, we are traveling with a one-year-old baby who cannot use them. As a result, our baby was unable to sleep well during our stay. Overall, while we appreciate the friendliness of the staff, our experience was significantly affected by these issues.
