Rivers Hotel

The staff was very friendly and helpful, I explained that I had to leave the next day very early and I want to have grab something for breakfast, they made a nice breakfast package and delivered later to me. The area is very nice and close to the parking from the city. The room is very dark and I could sleep very well, it was very silent, regardless what was happening outside.

Great location in central Sluis

Most of the furniture was outdated and damaged. The large terrace was dirty and so was the outdoor sofa.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the town. Our room was spacious, renovated, and very clean. The shower was excellent, although a shower cap would have been a nice addition to the bathroom amenities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the breakfast offered were very good!

One area that could be improved is the smoking situation. Although the hotel has a non-smoking policy, we noticed a strong cigarette smell from the entrance staircase all the way up to our room on the second floor. It seemed to come from guests smoking on the terrace near the entrance. Perhaps placing an air freshener or room fragrance in the staircase area could help improve the experience for non-smoking guests. The bed was also a bit small for our preference, but it was still comfortable enough for a short stay. Overall, a nice hotel with a welcoming atmosphere, and we appreciate the efforts of the staff.
