From the minute we arrived until the minute we left Marrakesh stole a piece of our hearts 💕. The staff here became our 2nd family from the minute we walked through the amazing entrance door 🚪. There was nothing all staff could not do for us. The Tagine we pre ordered for evening meal on our 1st day of arrival was amazing so tasty 😋. The Riad its self was in a super location just on the outskirts of the old Median but still accessible to all the attractions, especially if like us you don't mind exploring and getting lost on the odd occasion, but we always found our way back. It is in a residential area so it was a wonderful experience seeing how the locals go about their every day life....lots of children around who I enjoyed talking to out of the window 🪟 who later that evening were heard shouting up to me "Miss England " this did make us chuckle.
All the staff here were very welcoming, work extremely hard to ensure all the guests are looked after. Our room was a perfect size, cleaned daily, along with fresh towels and toiletries. I loved it especially as it was so traditionally decorated, along with 3 windows which let in lots of light and allowed you to look out onto the street below. We would request same room if available on our return.
Aziza runs a very tight ship and manages the Riad so well, to the point that we thought all staff were family however this is not the case but you get a sense that they all look after one another and are so close. Beautiful to see, something that is extremely rare in this difficult world we currently live in.
Aziza kindly booked us 2 trips both of which were amazing especially my solo hot air balloon ride as my husband was too scared to join me I would highly recommend. The night porter walked me through the street at 430am to meeting point so that I was safe and looked after.
There is staff on site 24hrs so this makes you feel safe along with CCTV.
Would just suggest alternatives for breakfast just to mix it up a little, perhaps yogurt, fresh fruits, as we were there a week, it felt it was a little repetitive for me but other than that absolutely nothing.
