This simple guesthouse is a nice stop for a short stay while traveling across the peninsula. It’s easy to find and is close to a Bónus store, which is handy if you’re watching your food budget. The rooms are spacious, and the bed is comfortable. The shared spaces are clean and welcoming, and there are several board games that make it easy to socialize. There’s no kitchen, but Monika makes sure you have what you need for breakfast, including a microwave, different kinds of coffee, tea, jams and jellies (I likely had the best rhubarb jelly I’ve ever had), and grains. Monika was one of the most welcoming hosts I’ve met in Iceland. It was a pleasure meeting you and chatting (looking forward to your feedback on 280!).
The lack of a desk in my room, and price could have been slightly lower.

This was a very convenient, comfortable place to stay. I was travelling independently by public transportation from Reykjavik to the Westfjords. The Straeto bus stop is steps away; the Baldur ferry an easy walk. There is a Bonus next door. Monika is a helpful host. The guesthouse is very pleasant. Definitely recommend.
