Dedeman Palandoken Ski Lodge Hotel

location of the hotel was perfect, right next to the main/starting station of the gondola and ski houses. hotel also has one downstairs, run by an external party. the room we stayed was large more than enough, very useful for a ski trip if you carry a lot and you will have many stuff inside the room. a tiny balcony is a plus. breakfast and dinner was OK. there is plenty of options. one detail I liked a lot was the bath sponge provided by default. normally I carry mine since I do not like having couple of days by only rubbing my body by hand. but the hotel provides it and it is a great detail. overall I can say the hotel is a perfect price/performance stay.

there is a major smell/smoke issue during and after breakfast. since they cook omelettes inside the dining area, all the smoke and smell reaches to all rooms even your room is at top stairs (our was at 3rd). It is quite disturbing inside the dining area and inside the rooms and corridors. probably not in all rooms but our room had a brightness problem in the morning due to one window which does not have a proper curtain. it was impossible to keep it dark if you want to stay in the bed a bit longer after an intense skiing day. as mentioned several times, the hotel is old and some refurbishing is needed. I felt it especially in the bathroom where the shower head and the tap have some leakages. one negative detail was when we asked where to store our own snowboards. since it is a ski hotel, I expected a solution but they acted like they heard this request for the first time. the ski house downstairs told us they only store their own rental equipment and reception told us they have no place to store. so we carried everything upstairs and stored the boards on the balcony and the rest of the gears inside the room. not really convenient.

All food is very good there but most of the time I needed to ask for a butter to put on my bread instead of having it always at the bred area.

Did not like to leave, wanted to stay longer.
