Great stay at San Luis. Room was clean and comfy, sea and pool view was excellent and the pool area service was perfect! A little negative on parts of the pool area closed for renovation with work noise.

Is my go to many resort place where I can relax a couple of nights. Unfortunately there’s construction going on on this trip which is annoying. The rooms are getting to the point of a bit of refreshing but I love the resort feel and restaurants are great

We decided to splurge a little and stay at the San Luis for our 10th anniversary. It was so convenient to several great restaurants and we had a magnificent view from the 11th floor.

Hotel need upgrade furnitures , decor etc . Service was excellent . room service came on time when schedule on tablet . Only complain I have is that last night of our stay group of high school kids were loud in swimming pool area after midnight , complain to front desk but party continued . I had to call second time complain and finally got stop . I’m paying high $$$ for room I’m expecting this hotel to have higher standard .

Club 10 floor which adult only floor . Complementary waters , candies , fruits in lobby area , comp Champaign in room . Pay little extra for this floor but hotel needs upgrade to modern interior ! Still the same interior as 8 years ago .

The St Luis is a very pretty hotel and perfect ly located. There were two things we encountered that were negatives for the stay. The first was the "above counter" sink
In the bathroom. This type sink is not very functional and certainly seems cheap.
The other negative was the noise prevention insulation. We often heard a baby crying and other noises from an adjoining room.

It was lovely - front desk staff was very efficient & friendly - all staff that we encountered were helpful & friendly (pool & on our floor) - only negative was room was a little dated & dark

I loved the heated pool area and the registration check in area decor! The hotel was beautiful. The only thing I didn’t like is the tub was not cleaned prior to checking in.

It is an excellent facility to stay in Galveston. Nice restaurants, comfortable rooms. Just across from the beach. Highly recommended.

Most everything was lovely except 1) the bathroom door wouldn’t slide open and I was suck in the bathroom and began to panic when I couldn’t get out. 2) our ocean view had a horrible rooftop right in front of our room that was more obvious than the ocean.

We love this hotel. We were there for New Year's Eve. The hotel was still beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The outdoor pool was heated. We will definitely stay their again.

Love the San Luis. The pool and hot tub are incredible. The spa is amazing. The food and service it outstanding. My only concern is that the prices seem to have exploded in the past 18 months. I know that's the case everywhere, and realize this is a high-end property, but do wish the room rates could be kept down and/or some discounts be offered at the spa or in the restaurants for those staying on property, or perhaps baked goods or coffees could be part of a type of all-inclusive package. It is possible we'll be priced out of this property in the near future.

Good overall. Not sure why they charge for self parking. I didn’t see any type of control or security. Also the back door to the hotel requires key entry which is good but the door is open most of the time and go straight to the elevators which don’t require key entry to the room floors. This could pose a security risk as anyone could potentially go in

The staff was amazing Courtney was our waitress and she was excellent. The guys who were the valets were also so kind and helpful. The staff is well trained in ensuring your comfort.

The ocean view, the proximity to the seawall, a beautiful pool and swim up bar and hot tub. Timothy at the Front Desk served us very well. Playing pickle ball, wonderful Christmas decorations and the east access to many different restaurants. Beautiful flowers and surroundings! Many, many thanks for a wonderful stay!!!!

We paid a high price to stay at the San Luis because we wanted to use the amenities…pool especially because it is heated. Could not use because it was entirely too cold!! Disappointment since we were willing to pay a premium for that. Could have stayed anywhere else for much less.
