Our flight out got cancelled, and the folks at the Westmark went above and beyond to accommodate us, offering to setup late checkout, holding our luggage for us and even setting up an evening shuttle to the airport. I wish more hotels provided that level of service.

The Westmark was fine for one night. I would not want to stay here for a duration of time. It is old and outdated. Felt slightly unclean. But the bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly.

Our stay was great! Except for the Fire Alarms going off at 1:30 in the earlier AM. Then again within and hour of returning to our room. Which caused a 6 hour flight delay. Due to the Delta flight crew was also staying at the Westmark!

Hotel needs an update. Bathroom fan attached to lighting and made constant noise. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Great location for hitting the major sights.

Terrific, helpful staff. Great location. Great shuttle service. Our room (a double facing in land) was a bit cramped but I think other water view doubles may be larger. Staff offered to have us change rooms which was appreciated but we were only staying a couple nights so we didn’t bother. Comforable beds and pillows but the covers were a bit much for the warm June weather. Our dressser had seen better days - it was pretty beat up. Huge fridge. Shower/bathroom all good. I didn’t check out the fitness center.

Nice, quaint hotel in a great location downtown within walking distance of shopping, dining and entertainment. Friendly service and a terrific restaurant too! Very clean and comfortable rooms as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Westmark was truly something special from the staff checking you in to the restaurant full of bubbly and inviting characters. The rooms were nice and because they were slow they let us check in early. Beautiful views all around!! If you are going to stay anywhere stay at westmark. Their restaurant was also absolutely amazing.

The hotel is perfectly locate din the middle of Sitka. The staff is friendly and pretty efficient. My only serious complaint is the absence of breakfast. And generally speaking the hotel's own restaurant has gone downhill compared to my previous stays here.

The hotel was clean and well maintained, although dated. The COVID situation has put a strain on service, but we were happy to see that wearing a mask was required and adhered to during our stay.

We had a great stay at the Westmark Sitka. It is centrally located, easy walk to all the sites. The staff at the front desk is friendly and eager to help. Kaitlyn helped us map out our walking route, then said “wait a minute” and came back with free passes to the Raptor Center. We wanted to take pictures for our granddaughter who loves raptors! The staff goes out of their way to make your trip to Seward ideal.

Service and food in the restaurant did not match the higher prices. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel is aging and resisting attempts to keep it updated. Rate was a bit higher than justified.

THE RESTAURANT AND IT'S STAFF-POOR SERVICE, BAD DRINKS( ORDERED Bombay Saffire and was given rail gin.) My wife then ordered a Charrdonay and had to wait so long that when the bartender gave her some other customers Merlot she just took it.

While the hotel and room were nice, the internet service was not working. I was scheduled to host a zoom meeting and when I called the front desk hey were pretty non responsive.

The hotel was quite nice, but the restaurant is only average and very overpriced. It was odd that they decided to do new ceilings near the lobby and lounge on a holiday weekend which meant it took several days to finish and took away from the comfort in the lounge. The TVs in the rooms are on analog and repeatedly lose sound making it impossible to enjoy the tv in the room. They are also not smart TVs which would be a nice alternative to analog. Overall, the service was okay. The most exceptional part of the hotel is Don at the front desk. He is kind, funny, attentive, and pays attention to detail. The hotel is nice, but the issues above took away from the experience.
