Everything about our stay had been great- friendly staff that really made our 7yr old feel comfortable. Good service and food in the restaurant despite being very busy. However, myself and my husband essentially got little to no sleep as there is a security camera on the external wall outside our room (307). Every 66seconds it moves, I assume to watch the whole carpark, but as a result it vibrates very loudly. (Very much like a phone vibrating on a table). This prevented us from sleeping/staying asleep. I did let reception know as we left and was told they’d tell maintenance and no one else had ever complained about this. It’s a real shame, as other than this we’d say it was a 9 out of 10 stay. Instead we had to cut our planned day at Beamish museum short as we knew we were too tired to leave the long journey home till later in the day.

Excellent new hotel all rooms in 1st class condition. Wife choice of breakfast. The negative point of this hotel is that it is parallel to the A1M motorway so the traduce noice is constant even with the room window closed you can hear the constant drone if the traffic sounds like a air commercial air conditioning unit outside the window. Would not stay again for this reason

Staff very friendly and helpful but rooms very tired and shabby. The pillows were lumpy and the sofa bed was so uncomfortable our 2 year old wouldnt sleep in it so three of us were squashed in one bed. We wont be back

Hotel was fine but would not say it was particularly dog friendly. This was the reason we chose this hotel but dogs were not allowed anywhere except your room. This meant we had to eat separately at breakfast and couldn’t sit and have a drink in the lounge in the evening.

We stayed for two nights at this pet friendly hotel. It was pet friendly as long as your little dog stayed in the room. Most of the residential hotels where I live allow dogs in the bar area which means we as a couple can dine together. This needs addressing.

Enjoyed a nice stay at the property. The staff were friendly even though I met one 'unfriendly' guest who spoke a bit harshly to my 7 year old son. Breakfast options were great - the fruits served could be fresher though. All-in-all, enjoyed my stay here. Thanks.

Upon arrival i wanted check price i was quoted was same as being charged but guy kept saying hurry up pay card! Very rude. Private party on sat night so couldnt use bar. Noisey residents up and down hallways at stupid hours and shouting whilst on car park. Music so loud could hear even with tele on and windows closed. I will from now on go back to using travel lodge as they treat customers far better

Great breakfast, one of the biggest choices and well cooked for a buffet. Great service team too. Nice, quieter hotel near major traffic route. Only downside for us is the firm bed, but many prefer that.

Staff were very helpful. Had to check in very late phoned to inform them and they explained the process. Once we arrived the chick in was quick and simple. Breakfast was good. Staff provided a good service in the dining room. Room was nice and clean.

Stayed overnight whilst attending a party close by. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had buffet style. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The hotel was full but the staff worked hard, especially the girls at breakfast, who were great with my 85 year old mother making sure she was ok until we joined her. Even before we stayed I had a call about the rooms as I had requested ground floor rooms close together. The staff here are what really makes the hotel worth staying at. The only negative was how small the bathroom was.

Hotel is a bit on the tired side. Bathroom has enamel coming off the bath, rusty items, and poor sealant around the bath. The room itself was clean. Bed ok, pillows not very good. Reasonably quiet. Good parking. The breakfast was very good. A comprehensive offering

Overall - very good. However, the key card needed resetting 2 out of the three days - and was amazed that I was charged £4 (approx) for the actual tray provided as part of room service....

The hotel was a bit dated. There was a leak in the bathroom and split in the shower pipe. The gym was very out of date, with some equipment needed repair. However, the bar and restaurant area was fine. Value for money was good for an overnight stay.
