I always enjoy staying here. This trip was different. To be fair, it was on NewYears' Eve. There was a lot of loud parties going on around our room for hours and not ending until past 2 a.m. in the morning. I did not expect this type of activity happening at this resort and would have expected security to have been more active in controlling the noise. I'll go back but never again on New Years' Eve.

Great get away in a gorgeous spot with lots of beautiful roads for cycling

Staff was very nice! The restaurants were totally booked when we arrived so we didn't get to dine where we wanted to. So be sure to make dinner reservations before you arrive! The food was great! We were there for the final summer bbq and the food was delicious! Not just hamburgers and hot dogs, but lots of options. The huge cupcakes were so fun and tasty!
The kids loving looking for sea glass and skipping rocks. There was quite a bit of seaweed on the shore they couldn't really get too close to the water but they still had a great time.
My husband and I had a nice wine tasing outdoors right when we arrived and the kids played with the bean bag game. The room was big and bright with amazing blackout curtains that rolled up with no light gaps! that was great for sleeping in! I loved that we could text with the staff. they were quick to respond and accommodate.
The pool and hot tub were nice, but there weren't enough chairs or places to sit. More seating would be nice.
The movie theater was a nice touch. although we didn't make it there during our stay, the kids were excited about the option to do that.
More quick breakfast options in the cafe would've been nice as they were sold out by 10 am when we got ready and got down there. Also, a self serve coffee area would be nice since the 1 and only Barista was a little slow making americanos 1 by 1.
But Overall, lovely property. quick place to relax and hang out. We'll be back.

This was such a shock since it was a great property several years ago. Run down, like a dirty cruise ship with Microsoft employees and only one sticky dirty restaurant that stinks and has made no efforts to establish hygienic tables floors or counters. Are in town instead. Rude front desk staff and tiny box rooms with mini porches and retro fitted plastic baths built over the old ones. So sad!

Likes: On the spit is awesome!
Staff is fantastic!
Annoyance:
(parking lot had garbage for two days, so I picked it up)

Great property, amazing location. So DISAPPOINTED though that the spa closed a 9pm. We walked passed the staff at 845 (in our spa robs) and they gave us directions to the spa, but failed to mention it closed at 9pm. Also, the hot water in the room took a VERY long time to come through the taps or shower.

The location is stunning and very family friendly. We will be back!

Always a very pleasurable stay at Semiahmoo. It’s our weekend getaway place for some rest and relaxation. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Five stars in my book!

My family was really looking forward to staying here but we were disappointed. My kids were upset the pool was closed during our stay. The room was not clean (sunflower seeds, candy, paper bits on the floor), we had no hot water (did not know until the next morning), shower was broken, sink was leaking on the floor, the fridge froze all of our food and drinks. Not what you expect for what you pay here! I told 2 staff members but both did not seem to care. Then they still charged me the resort fee!

It was my first time staying and the property was amazing. The front desk reps were genuinely helpful, nice and welcoming. The room was beautiful with a wonderful view. The food was good but menu was limited from what was advertised. The overall stay was awesome and will be coming back.

Check in was a breeze, loved the communial fire pits and the s’mores around it. Kids had a lot of options from ping pong table, swimming pool, bike rentals, billiards, board game and movie in a big screen. The locations vicinity to Canada border made it a easy stop while coming back from

The staff here are lovely and even upgraded our room for the inconvenience of not being able to locate our Hotels.com reservation. They searched everywhere and I even did a virtual chat with hotels.com who assured me they sent it—checked in at front desk three times. If this doesn’t get resolved I am afraid I will be charged twice for the room. We drive over two hours to get here and I have never had confirmation and and reservation # through hotels.com and it not being found at the hotel. So frustrating.

The resort was in a beautiful location with walking trails along the shoreline. Easy to get out and watch the sunrise.

This was an overpriced “resort”. Unfortunately there was a leak from the mini fridge in our room, stains were on the carpet & the in room coffee pot didn’t work. When I called the front desk regarding the coffee pot & inquired about coffee in the lobby, I was told that I could purchase coffee from the cafe.
The restaurant left much to be desired, as I was expecting more upscale cuisine, especially when paying the price we did to stay here. We received most of the meals in a basket.

This was such a very lovely three-night getaway for us. Very peaceful and tranquil location, and we loved our room with a water view and balcony. The views and sunsets are stop-in-your tracks beautiful.
The amenities like the pool, hot tub, s’mores/bonfire, bikes, gym, ping pong, and billiards were great additions and we felt like we didn’t need to leave the resort for entertainment or anything really, which was an added bonus.
The two things I’d say weren’t so great were the housekeeping services and the overall condition of parts of the resort. We had to request full housekeeping services for some reason. Otherwise they come by in the morning only to replace towels and take out the trash.
When we did get the so called full service, there were surfaces still dirty, used glasses were not replaced, robes were taken and not replaced. With paying over $400 a night a person could reasonably expect excellent daily housekeeping services.
The food at Packers was just ok. The staff there, though, were very friendly and on top of things.
The exterior trim of the resort really needs to be painted. Lots of peeling paint. The new remodeled bathroom was very nice and modern. Now it’s time to update the rooms themselves. They kind of have a generic look and feel to them.

Long delay to check in, many guests in queue to check in. All were notified the rooms were not ready. Finally able to check in at 5 pm. Room furniture damaged, stains on sofa, wall damaged, not enought outlets for devise charging. Grounds not in good condition, not well maintained. Room was very disssapointing. Not a good value for the rate

We stayed only one night, so did not take advantage of much of the amenities. We wanted to have a seaside experience for the grandson's first time on the coast. It was perfect.

We had booked with Expedia and for some reason our booking at our other property fell through. Expedia replaced our booking with one at this amazing Resort and Spa as well as picked up the extra cost for our stay. The resort was a 5 out of 5 but as for Expedia ……they were a 10 out of 5 thank you so much for making sure we were well looked after! I will forever book Expedia!

Nice resort, over priced. Restaurants overpriced & no selection of food choices, bar food with 5* pricing

What a beautiful location! Good is great, service wonderful!

Overpriced, spa services were unavailable, the room was nearly bare of decor, cheap amenities, our window was hard to shut, the place was under construction, hard to know where the actual entrance to the place was, the restaurants were just as overpriced. Why does a cup of black coffee cost $5.25!? Would never stay at Semiahmoo again.

Hotel with under renovation, pool/hot tub was closed without any notice. Said they sent out notice but never received it. Heard few guests complaints at the front desk so I am sure we are not the only one that didn't receive it.
Room had no hot water!!! Had to shower in cold water both nights. Very disappointing for a $350/night hotel!

a mix up at check in, my third party website did not synch with the hotels, and they did know I was bringing my dog, ended up in a different room $20.00 more , and it was kind of dirty , outside deck chairs were covered in bird excrement, scuffed up wood work, visible dirt and dents in the ceiling , loud construction noises from room above

This was my first time going and I went with one of my best friends. We lucked out with weather it was sunny and beautiful, they have bikes you can use to cruise around, the pool was heated and the grounds where really nice. There is a nice restaurant on the grounds, a nice rocky beach to walk and the views are beautiful.
I’d go back and I think it would be a fun place to take kids. But also a great place to just away with friends or even by yourself if you want to go somewhere peaceful.

Expedia Over Charged! Booked through Expedia - Beware: Expedia over charged me $439 for 2 rooms. Web site quoted $539 charged me $1517. Web site states resort fee paid at hotel, Expedia also charged for the resort fee on my credit card.

Great hotel and location. Unfortunately they ran out of towels at the pool. Otherwise we loved it.

We went there Last Saturday March 26-27,2022.Stayed for overnight only.It was an amazing Spring break weekend getaway for my College Boys .The place was very peaceful and super clean. The staffs so very friendly. The food was so great. It’s better to have a microwave in the room too since my family always use a microwaveable food when we are out of town.I will recommend this place to my friends and will definitely be back.

We loved the staff, the cleanliness, the isolated place. It was perfect for our birthday weekend getaway.

The property is currently under renovation, with two of four floors being worked on. Staff was wonderful and accommodating, helping work out solutions to some booking frustrations. Hopefully the renovations and spring repairs will bring sparkle back to this Northwest gem.

The views and nature surrounding this property is special and beautiful as it’s located on a little peninsula and surrounded by water.
The rooms are going through a renovation in 2022, and generally the resort building is beautiful and comfortable— lots of wood finishes and windows to show off the view.
The elevators were in convenient locations, and they operate quickly. There is plenty of parking on site and a few handicap parking spots near the front entrance of hotel and spa.
We loved having a fireplace in our room, and would like to return in the summer months to take better advantage of the outside spaces.
