Beings it was off season I can understand not having the restaurant open on Sunday night but the pool not being heated and the hot tub not having the jets just big bubbles that hurt your back the stay was good. We did have no hot water for a night but they accommodated us by letting us use another room to shower in . The biggest let down was the no heated pool which is one of the only reason I picked the hotel for the most part. Ice skating rink was a hit with the kids and the arcade. All and all it was a nice stay in the off season.

Growing up in Maryland as a kid I was always told by my parents how great The Carousel was. Was is the word.
I guess I am spoiled with all the other Hotels now in Ocean
City. This Hotel is dated. Kids would like it, but not so much for older adults. This was my first stay...and our last stay.
Been there DONE that.

Not happy here. Not clean. A lot of college kids. Noisy. Pot smell. Actual fire going on filled hallway. Itchy sheets. Loud and rude college kids staying there. Couldn’t sleep all night. Checked out and didn’t stay a second night. Room was non refundable. I wouldn’t stay here again

That place used to be the best in the 80s.I think the letter just run down. The rooms are dated back to 1970.The shower was good, but everything else was off.Have a date but for the money it was right

Got in my room and the toilet would not flush. Also the beds are so hard to sleep on felt like I was laying on the floor

We stay at the carousel at least once every year. This year the lobby was so cold, I understand that there is an ice rink but we have been there previously when it wasn’t nearly as cold in the ice rink area. Also we heard they were re doing the pool for next year. Cant wait to see the new pool and hopefully the ice rink area is warmer.

This was the first time staying at the hotel. Our room was clean but many things were broken. When we arrived the heater made a loud banging noise as soon as we turned it on and while it ran. Called maintenance was told would be 20 minutes waited over sn hour, he was able to fix it somewhat as at least you could hear the tv when it ran. Than our key cards to the room had to be replaced 8 times during our two night stay.
Our second day a few minutes after arriving back in our room security came and accused us of smoking in one of rooms. Said he received a call an hour before of the complaint. Explained no one was smoking and we were not even on the property when the complaint was in as we had been out for the last 3 hours. Offered to show him receipts with times on them he just said he knew it was us.
Also the water would not turn off all the way in the shower told the front desk however no one came to look at that.
Our second night after quiet hours a group of people was outside our room in sitting area being loud and gambling. This went on till after 1am called front desk no answer.

The room was an older room, it wasn’t completely clean when we arrived. Kids running around in halls, other than that it was ok.

The Carousel is an OC institution that could use an update. It's conveniently located, pretty affordable in the off-season, has decently clean linens, and is overall very basic. Rooms that face the interior skating rink/carousel area are noisy until late in the pm, but even the much quieter parking lot-facing rooms have paper-thin walls that easily allow any conversation happening in the hallway to filter on in. Having a couch & easy chair in the room in addition to the beds was quite nice... except the mis-matched chair in our room had a weird crusty/sticky stain all over the seat that meant we avoided it. There's rust on some bathroom fixtures, and the carpet has really seen some traffic. Still, a safe property in a convenient location means if you're good without much frills, this is a decent choice.

Dont stay here if you want to sleep comfortably. The room was so hot and you are unable to adjust the temp. The room only had heat in the winter and air in the summer. The room was 78 and the hotels solution is ask for a fan. We had 2 box fans that did nothing. Also the bath tub was full of what looked like rust.

The Carousel was not as clean and sparkling as I would have liked to have seen, but it was passable!

The room was too dark. Needed more lighting.

We had a great stay with family between Christmas and the New Year. The kids loved ice-skating, swimming, and the little playground on the way to the beach. The restaurant was very accommodating of our group of 12 and the food was excellent. We will definitely be back!

We brought our kids and grandkids here for an after Christmas getaway. It was an amazing family time and the boys went ice skating five times in the two days. What a treat. Beautiful and fun holiday atmosphere. We had an oceanfront room and the size was much bigger than we’ve had before. Usually with six of us it can be cramped but it was wider than most so felt a little more roomy! Will put on a list of a favorite to come back. The only negative was for me was wanting my morning Starbucks and they do not have Oatmilk as an option. I think they should have more options with so many allergy issues. I did mention to the front desk as a suggestion.

Rooms outdated and in need of repair. Cleanliness an issue. Outdoor pool and equipment should be covered and put away. Disgusting to look at. Lights nit working and shower not the cleanest. Walls cracking. Not how i remembered it from 15 years ago.

The first night we got there the heater was broken in our room which resulted in us changing rooms at 11pm. Then on the way back to the room with security and maintenance, the elevator wouldn’t close. The security then said he’s not surprised because they do that all the time. Not a very good impression.

This was my first stay at Carousel. The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. The indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi was clean. I never expected to see an ice skating rink in the atrium which was so fun to watch the skaters. Overall, we had a great stay and can't wait to go back again.

I travel to the hotel annually for the OC Christmas parade. Some how this year I was upgraded to a 2 bed 2 bath condo. It was the nicest I have ever stayed in. Thank you Hotels.com

They are very strict with "quiet time" hours. Long wait for the elevators and the parking lot right in front of the hotel was full majority of the trip.

When you book any hotel in OC, it's clearly for the location and not the room or amenities because so many of the hotels here are outdated and barely have any amenities. That being said, if you have little kids and bad weather, this is definitely one of the best choices. There's an ice-skating rink that kids love, a pool, some small arcade games, and plenty of space to run around and be kids. If you have small kids or want to fall asleep at a decent hour, ask for a room outside of the courtyard/ice skating rink area because it stays loud until midnight. There is a sign that "quiet time is 11pm-7am" but that wasn't really the case when we stayed. Thankfully, the front desk was accommodating and moved us to another location. My kids had a fantastic time and didn't notice all the negative things like paper thin walls (we could hear our neighbors entire conversation clearly), outdated bathrooms and furniture, stained tile, carpet, shower curtains, etc. If I were traveling without kids, I would not stay here. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for traveling with kids when the weather is bad and you want to keep your kids busy and happy without having to leave the hotel.

A great family atmosphere. Ice rink, game room, indoor pool, restaurant, coffee bar, souvenir shop all in one spot.
Downsides; kids running the halls late at night, tv had no signal a lot, toilet kept clogging, needs some updating.

It was a huge facility. The front lobby smelled great. They said they put scent in the vents. But the rooms smelled gross. The toilets are so small. There was an electrical fire but the staff didn’t communicate anything. After the fire my room key didn’t work and my room smelled like smoke. I’m still coughing. Poor planning on parking. Paying hotel guests had to park further away because they allowed non hotel guests to eat at the thanksgiving buffet. The gym was mediocre at best and the pool had so much chlorine in it you couldn’t stay in long. They had too many convention guests and the staff was less than helpful.

Check in was hassle free. The Desk Clerk was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Room showing it’s age. Need someone in pool with authority to tell people no diving or running around. Always enjoy watching skaters.

Running around due to indoor pool and indoor skating ring, it kind of has a Vegas feel without the opulence

Although the rooms are outdated, that doesnt take away from the fact this hotel is amazing! We had a clean and comfortable room with a great view of the ocean. We didnt get to try out the resturants or ice skating rink this time but would like to in thr future! Will be back for sure

This property is OK for families. When I was looking for hotels, if I would’ve knew there were so many kids and families I would’ve never went here.

I was not happy with no HEAT, it was only 62 in my room.
We had no room service, had to reuse the same towels.

The hotel was nice, the biggest thing was the cleanness of the room. The rub smelled like mildew, I seen two roaches in the sink in the bathroom. The bed was hard as hell

Property was very good. Kid friendly but the area outside our room was dirty and shabby and make sure you bring a pillow. The pillows were flat as a pancake. I love the ice rink and the room was clean and staff was nice. Really over priced in the summer season, though.
