We have stayed at this motel before and have always like the place. This time is not very clean but they said they are still remodeling it. Need more better cleaning in rooms and hallways.

Room was very dirty and had to clean in myself upon arrival. They didn't care at the front desk.

It’s a nice place, just a little old and dated. But we’ve loved staying when we come to town.

The not the best:This is a classic past glory destination motel near a major attraction. The rooms are dated and some are getting tired. There is ongoing maintenance and renovation. The rooms have very few plugins. Also, if someone is disturbed by taxidermied animals and fish and pictures of dead animals and fish and animals eating and attacking animals stay away. Now the GREAT about this motel.. Everyone who works here does an excellent job. The Lobby is welcoming and the bar and restaurant are both very good, with reasonably priced options. Though not state of the art equipped rooms, everything works. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The entire facility is clean as well. The outdoor hot tub is natural hot Springs water. There’s ample parking and the location is perfect. A few steps from the lobby is a great walk along the Wind River and Hot Springs Park. The park has many shade trees and lawns with sidewalks to and through the Hot Springs, the river, the swinging bridge over the river. This entire area is a place to relax and tour, including the very close drive to see the Buffalo herd and also the DINOSAUR museum. So with a perfect location, reasonable rates, excellent people, good food and drinks, free breakfast, free coffee and cookies, sliced cucumber water and sliced orange water, this is THE place to go in Thermopolis Wyoming!!

Quite basic, but had everything I needed, the bed was comfortable and the room clean. Fabulous dining room if you like taxidermy. Right next to the hot springs park, and their hot tub is filled with water from the hot springs.

Everything was fine. But it could use a little bit more attention on the upkeep.

Good for the value, close to the springs

Great stay, and dinner.

The staff was very friendly. From check in, to the rstaurant staff. The property and the rooms are definitely dated. However, the beds were comfortable, and rooms were clean. The breakfast was also decent, nothing fancy...but they did have Capn Crunch Crunchberry cereal!

Hotel could stand some maintenance/updating but it was comfortable & decent for an overnight stay.

It was close to the Hot Springs. Would have used the mineral hot tub, but was a bit of a walk in the cold

Staff was great. Older hotel that needs a few upgrades but our stay was good.

Disappointed. Beds were not neatly made. Old leftover soaps left around bath tub
. Didn't feel safe as i was at the very end where it seemed the rooms were rented long term and others smoked right outside my door. Very old motel. Front desk person was very nice though.

Dog barking all night in room across the hall.

The location of the property was perfect and we really enjoyed the mineral hot spring tub at the hotel. The hotel hallways are in desperate need of a paint job and the room was a little outdated but overall clean and comfortable as long as you aren't going for a luxury experience. The only other downside was that our room was not available until 2 hours after the 3pm check-in time due to the cleaning staff being backed up which was a bit frustrating but not the end of the world. Overall a good experience and I would consider staying here again.

The staff was super friendly. It was New Year’s Eve so they had some wonderful karaoke and champagne toast. The rooms were tidy, but not immaculate. The places were saying because how incredible the taxidermy and food is. They had some rowdy characters that were extremely loud on New Year’s Eve till three in the morning.

People were exceedingly friendly. Great service

Was close to the hot springs! Had a very limited breakfast which was not good.

Paint pealing off walls, not enough staff for dining facilities, fairly clean

Gentleman at the front desk was so kind and helpful at check in. Probably the best I’ve ever encountered if I’m honest.
The hotel was such a bummer. I was so excited to stay here with my daughter as I remembered staying here as a kid with my family. Back then it was magical. Today it is run down, dimly lit, and feels extremely unsafe. Our room had a door to the hallway and also a door to outside. The door to outside was convenient for our dog, but unfortunately we had a cold draft coming in through the crack at the bottom all night. Kind of a bummer in December in Wyoming.
We immediately had to take allergy pills upon entering the room because the air quality was not good. The heater/air conditioner unit was not healthy & was spewing out smells that I couldn’t identify. The linens on the bed smelled heavily of perfume… not detergent. Like a guest had worn too much and the comforter had not been washed.
Also, there was a very bright exterior light shining in our room all night. The curtains were a little small for the window so we couldn’t block it out.
We really struggled to get sleep here.

This hotel is extremely dated!! There were stains all over the carpets throughout the hotel and in the rooms. The hallways were dirty and gross!!!! Rooms were ok but will not ever stay here again.

Terrible customer service on a weekend! Nothing like dealing with stuff going wrong on a vacation weekend

We stay here every year for hunting. The breakfast bar is a little less from where it was in the past. However, love the lemon and orange water at front desk. Staff was very helpful. We enjoyed the hot springs… it was snowing and our robe, towel and shoes had no place to store that was out of the snow.

Great gal at check in. Service in the restaurant is marginal to poor. Food was very good! Room was clean, definitely needs some renovations!! Hallway looks horrible. Soaking tub would benefit with a sign to help us know how many steps till the bottom.

There was a dead bug and hair when i pulled back the sheets and toilet rim had not been cleaned

Nice place, but desperately needs a refresh.

Very nice hotel and fun area to visit. However, restaurant advertises food til 9pm, and got there 15 minutes before and told kitchen too backed up and wouldn’t let us order. Bar staff gentleman not too friendly or interested in serving customers, unfortunately. Otherwise, hotel was a nice stay.

We love staying at the property as it has an excellent on site outdoor hot tub , fantastic bar and restaurant and excellent, friendly staff. The property is a outdated and being renovated but always clean. See you in a couple of months!

A unique place in the state park with access to the hot springs. Evidently under new management and the staff was in disarray. Took 3 hours to have someone fix the nonfunctional tv, restaurant understaffed.

The area is great to explore while you stay. Easy in and out. No issues for us just dated . Updates are overdue.
A better breakfast would ease a lot of the decor issues some folks may have. I like the old stuff.

Great place to enjoy a mineral soak. Friendly and clean

This hotel has a wonderful location in the Hot Springs State Park. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and the mattress on the bed seemed to be newer. Otherwise, the room could use some updating with the electrical outlet availability! We used the Safari Club restaurant located in the hotel and the staff was fun and food was really good. The staff was ok with us using their table in the bar to play cards while we had a drink. All in all, our stay was very enjoyable.

Rooms were comfortable and large. People friendly. Hallways a little musty and need to be finished on renovations. The only really bad thing was having to sit on the shortest toilets I have ever encountered. Overall, would save here again.
