We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express downtown with our grandkids that were 6 and 7 years old for 6 days. The Holiday Inn Express is centrally located to food and many things to do along with close proximity to the Trax light rail station which connects to many areas of town and the airport.
The best part of the stay was the staff who were all very cheerful and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful! From an excellent varied breakfast each day, to outstanding tips of how to get around and where our kids could go and just a welcome atmosphere really made this place special. We were actually were going to only spend the first 3 days in Salt Lake City and the rest in Wyoming but we changed our plans and came back to spend only 2 days in Wyoming and made reservations to come back to the Holiday Inn Express as we were treated so well, the food and pool were great and because we hadn't completed all of the different things they had told us to do for our grandkids.

Honestly, this hotel was perfect. It was in the best location. It was very clean. The staff was super friendly. Sabrina at the front desk was so nice and we really enjoyed this hotel. The parking is right in the building which made it very convenient. This hotel is near many restaurants and places to catch dinner which was great for us. It was in the middle of downtown and they had many bars nearby. The breakfast was actually delicious. I have Celiac and they had an entire gluten-free section which was really great for me. Highly recommend this hotel and we will be back.
