I still have not received a receipt for $200 they charged me for MAID fees ,i asked for it when i paid and they said they would email me one as soon as i checked out,they told me thats why i shouldnt have booked thru a 3rd party,i had never had a problem with booking thru hotels.com

Poorly presented food smallest portions bacon for breakfast I’ve ever been served. Spent life traveling I mean that. Value for dollar mediocre. Liked room. As always hated pillows. Staff was great

The rooms were very nice. However, the staff in front were not friendly at all. They never greeted us and made us feel that we were a bother rather than a guest. I’ve stayed many places even places that were much cheaper and were greeted with much friendlier people. They wanted to charge extra for everything even the pool Towels which was a shocker to me. It was a nice stay but I’m not sure I’d be back.

It wasn’t the best. We were there for five days and they cleaned the room twice. If you pay for five days, you should get clean towels and wash rags every day. I don’t reuse wash rags. No ice machine on our floor or several other floors. Bathroom fan didn’t work so you couldn’t see the mirror for half an hour. Not what we expected for a hotel that was renovated less the a year ago. Staff was friendly enough.

The building is old! Two of the three elevators went out during our stay and the stairways were not well marked! The exterior windows and paint were bad! The staff was nice though.

Our heater didn't work when we first got to the room. They immediately had someone come and look at it and he changed it out, but apparently never actually attached the new one. Once the wind picked up it was like someone was blowing a whistle inside the room from the air coming in around the unit. I definitely do not recommend the Landshark restaurant. It was like prepackaged frozen food and the service was horrible. Our waiter just kept going to the back of the restaurant and sitting down.

The only thing that bothered me and my husband during our stay is that we could hear people talking through shower drain. Property was overall very nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and we even visited the spa (which was AMAZING)

The person I spoke to before checkin was uninformed & rude - outside of this, our actual stay was lovely. Hotel is beautiful. My only wish is that the staff actually know who created 'Margaritaville' so they could actually understand fans, not just treat us as only another hotel guest.

Reading the reviews I was expecting a little bit more from this hotel. The staff at the front desk were less than friendly. The room was ok. The room wasn’t as clean as it should have been. A good layer of dust on the shelf above the refrigerator where the drinking glasses were kept. On our last day we had to go the front desk and ask to have our room cleaned at 5:30. The bed was comfortable, but squeaked every time I moved. Kids in the swim up bar area, people constantly smoking cigarettes and weed in the pool area. You have to walk through the pool area to get to the beach access.We had terrible service and food at the Land Shark restaurant on property our first night there, did not return to eat again during our 4 day stay.

Watch out for “duscounted” drink specials. No fan in the bathroom… No ice machines on each floor… Overall Margaritaville is a rip off.

Everything with our stay was great. The only thing that Hotels.com doesn't specify is that there is $200 Maid Cleaning fee you have to pay at the resort aside from the Resort Fee. So if you are looking to stay here even for 1 night like I did, beware that unmentioned fee.

We wanted to talk to concierge but she refused to meet with us the desk clerk called while we were at the front desk but she would not come talk to us we could overhear her in the phone Very unprofessional lazy Everyone else was nice great service

Floor wasnt cleaned. Still had sand from previous occupant. Fridge was leaking. Sheets felt dirty. Restroom toilet seat was broken.

This hotel should be marketed as a Spring Break hang-out or for retired people who will have more patience with the hotel staff. We were locked out of our room and stuck on the balcony due to a faulty latch. My husband had to call the Front Desk and the Concierge for help. If my husband wasn't wearing his watch, I'm not sure what would have happened. We screamed for help, but no one heard us on the 4th floor. Finally, hotel maintenance came to our aid. They tried to push up the latch, but it was stuck. They had to unscrew the latch to get us back into our room. We were then asked what did we do? There was no apology from the manager, only the GM, when we wanted to understand why a faulty latch hook was our fault. Hopefully, the latches on the balconies have been fixed, and there has been training in customer service. I believe that the GM tried to make the situation right, but the damage was done. We checked out of the hotel that night.

Liked everything other than housekeeping.. We were there a week and had to practically beg everyday to get the room cleaned. When they did clean they forgot to replenish toilet paper one day, and towels one day. Housekeeping dept just needs some work: other than that I would have given it more stars.

Pretty chill place. Loved the live bands. Didnt like how quickly the pool area got occupied and there was no chairs. People were leaving towels on chairs as to claim their spot and not return for hours.

We enjoyed our stay there. We were there 9 nights. Housekeeping on our floor struggled to leave water daily and to change our bedding every 3 days. After speaking with a manager that was rectified. Having a restaurant onsite was great, and the fact we could sit wherever we wanted and still have our favorite server. The resort is family friendly, but children should not be in the bar swimming area. The bar staff said it wasn’t their job to police that. Security also didn’t enforce no outside alcohol. The rules were definitely not enforced. The bar alcohol was expensive and not much in each drink. We were sad to see the resort allowed “day use”. We paid for our stay at the hotel and to have others using the pool, getting their early and taking umbrella spots only to show up later in the day to swim was disheartening. There were others who used the pool that were not paying hotel guests or day use. If we come back to South Padre we will do a bit more reading reviews.
