While it was cool and nostalgic to stay at a hotel built 120 years ago, the Basin Park Hotel had little to be desired. Our room was small and quaint, but our bathroom was tiny (3'x3' shower), a toilet, that if you were a large person, probably couldn't fit on. The bathroom sink was actually in the bedroom!! Being old, the floors really weren't level, so if you have a problem with your balance, this probably isn't the hotel for you. On a positive note, the Balcony restaurant was nice and the food was quite good. The front desk staff could use a refresher course in
customer service as it was difficult to understand our first clerk as her mask was hiding her voice and was difficult to hear. Our clerk at checkout was quite pleasant and helpful, though.

Four day stay, "Premium Single Room", we looked for a different room after the first night, unsuccessful. We knew the hotel was nostalgic, ready to embrace the fact that it was very old, we weren't prepared for the inability to just be comfortable. BAD things: hotel rooms are very noisy, floors creak at EVERY step, in your room and above/around you. You will hear every step, item drop, door close, showering, toilet flush, conversation. There is no where to put your personal items. Room has one nightstand, we turned over a trash can the first night just to have something to put our phone and water on. They brought a table the next day but we needed it for our bathroom items, no flat surface in the bathroom, there's a pedestal sink with no room for anything, had to balance anything we were using on the sink, the back of the toilet held the towels and extra TP. We literally took each item out of our toiletry bag, used it, put it back in the other room, back and forth. A simple shelf would have solved this. No where to hang our clothes we brought on hangers, no rack, no hooks. No makeup mirror or area to put on. Broken lamp held up by a chair. Front desk employees are not friendly, no smiles, won't engage, just bare minimum. GOOD things: for as old as this property is, the rooms were VERY clean, their housekeeping staff is top notch. The shuttle driver Benny was amazing and fun! Food in the hotel was great, game room is fun, bartender is same as front desk folks, not fun.

Everything was great! The paranormal investigation they offer is more of a tour of the hotel’s haunted places than an actual investigation. Not bad - just expected something different.

Old historical hotel feel was amazing ! Wish breakfast was included,
Do not visit the pretzel shop tied to this hotel the owner is awful and will kick you out and refuse service for ridiculous reasoning !

The Basil is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are so helpful and there are so many things to do within walking distance. We availability allows we will always stay at The Basin Park Hotel.

Parking a mile away.

We’ve stayed at this property several times. It’s the most centralized location. It’s an older building which is part of its charm but they could replace the caulking around the tub

We like to occasionally stay in this historic hotel, walk to restaurants, relax in pretty Eureka Springs. When we arrived they were testing the fire alarms throughout the building, excruciating noise every few seconds, all day. The desk clerk was non-committal about how much longer it would be happening, was pretty rude and unhelpful about it, and was finally convinced to move us to the sister hotel in a comparable room. As that was happening, the fire alarm tech came through and explained how they working and how much longer it likely would take. He was nice and seemed to know his job well. We chose to stay at Basin Park, take a walk until the testing finished, and it worked out fine. The hotel seemed to have no policies or compensation or vouchers in place to deal with the day-long issue, and although they knew the testing day a week in advance, we were not warned. The restaurant and spa was closed all day, but guests could unknowingly book a room. Weird. There were so many ways to communicate with us and warn us, but those were used continuously to try to sell us activities and spa services instead.

We had car trouble immediately upon arrival and the staff responded in a way that was helpful and understanding. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the grounds are adorable and inclusive.

Simply isn't enough space to unload your luggage. Only one parking spot to unload and it's usually full.

The room was nice with a sitting area and large bathroom. However, the mattress was old and desperately needed to be replaced. We were not able to sleep. The service was wonderful.

Eureka Springs is a great small town with a cool history and wonderful 100+ year old buildings. It’s very reminiscent of an old remote European mountain village. It’s a walking town, like San Francisco or Boston, a car is a hindrance. Pack hiking boots or really good sport shoes. I don’t call exploring ES walking because it’s more like hiking. LOTS of public stairways that climb 100’ or more. Streets that will tax your endurance. Good food in ES but it’s not a foodie town so don’t expect west coast Nuevo cuisine. LGBTQC so you f you’re a conservative trumpie stay away
Now the hotel; it’s old and historic and smack in the middle of all the action. The floors squeak, you’ll hear other guests next door and upstairs and in the hallway. The bathrooms leave a little to be desired but I’ve experienced worse at chain motels. If these things bother you stay somewhere else. Very PET FRIENDLY. Expect to walk a distance for potty runs. Always pick up, don’t be those dog people 🙄. Balcony restaurant is perfectly fine food and reasonable. Parking in ES can be an issue but the hotel has privileges a short walk away. This is a great little walk if you have dogs with you as there’s some green areas on the way. Good hotel shuttle that will take and pick you up with the historic areas. Considering everything I give this hotel ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This hotel is a great old hotel - so much character. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and a good price. We loved the daily activity choices that were complimentary. The pillows were uncomfortable is my only complaint. But we would definitely stay at The Basin again!

The Basin Hotel is conveniently located and has a shuttle service for all the special places downtown! It's a little hilly and the shops nearby are fabulous. The Spa has great therapists and offers a couples massage! This is a special place and if you love being in the center of everything, this is a great choice.

I love the Basin. It was clean, quiet, and friendly.

Room was not fully cleaned and trash was full. Dirty pillowcase and hair in the bed. No way the sheets were changed. Dead flies in the bathroom and Japanes beetles flying around. Had a reception on the floor above us which is understandable but clean up went on past midnight. It shook the ceiling and the walls.

Exactly what we were looking for. Staff was friendly. The hotel is next to everything we wanted to do. Many activities at the hotel. Had a great experience and a wonderful time. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay downtown.

Traffic in the area is horrible. The bathroom smells of mildew. Other than that the hotel is ok.

It is a lovely but old hotel..A little short staffed as we waited in long lines to get a drink. It is a great location. The floors squeek as it is so old but they cant help that. Overall very enjoyable.

Dated, floor so dated it was coming up around edges multiple places. Told maintenance would look at it. I can look at it and tell it needed to be replaced 15 years ago. Stepped on a carpet tac strip by the jazucci tub. Cut so bad couldn’t use it and had to go get a tetanus shot which ruined half a day. Only there for 1 night so pretty lame

I liked that it stayed authenic to the time frame when it was built. Lots of original features, and great location.

Our stay was excellent. I just have a question. I was under the impression that we could have breakfast delivered to the room on weekdays, as long as we told the Front desk by 6 pm? I thought I was reading this information off the website. Also, I was under the impression that on weekends, breakfast was served at the restaurant and not delivered to the room? When we inquired about breakfast on Monday evening, we were told that it was only on the weekends? I was just curious. Our trip was great. Great place to stay!

Had to park mile away from motel, had to be shuttled back and forth (not to my convenience)! Coffee in the rooms even said it was purchased wholesale, worst coffee ever, the filter was pressed into the tare instruction so when you opened it coffee went every where! Jacuzzi tubs not usable! Never again!

Love the location! Parking situation was a hassle, but the shuttle service was very nice. Staff was awesome! Loved the tub in the room. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Restaurant is great. Courtesy shuttle great. Room nice, but could’ve used new carpet and a mattress that actually fits bed frame. Toilet seat was like riding a bull, you sit down and seat slides every which way,

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Right in the middle of all the stuff in Eureka Springs.

Very difficult to get around the area
