Where do I begin? Yes, the smell everyone talked about is true. BO covered up by some cheap perfume. No juice or decaf in the kitchen machines. A broken toaster, no napkins, no ice and no regular coffee the last day of our stay. In the room was an extremely dirty tub floor, poorly patched ceiling from a past leak, and spider webs. Plus, homeless people from off the street join you for breakfast. If at all possible, run fast and far from this hotel. I can't believe that Wyndham would be associated with this horrendous business model. Finally, there was price gouging during the eclipse weekend; $200 a day. Luckily, we paid far less by reserving the room before the event.

The room and motel in general were in poor condition, stained carpets, wrinkles in carpets, pealing paint, work station/counter was in very bad condition swelled press board worn paint areas, the mini frig worked good except the power cord was stretched under the work station counter such that when I pushed the chair under it actually unknowingly moved the power cord and partially unplugged the mini frig.....resulting in the leftover food I had planned for dinner that night to get warm and I had to throw it out!! Also the room was musty and the hallways had this very over bearing strong sweet odor, perhaps to over come any odors from the apparent construction occurring.

The room was filthy, especially the bathroom.
It looked as though it had not been cleaned; there was hair and gross build up all over the taps on the sink; mould on the bathroom ceiling.
The room was also dated, paint peeling and no conveniences as one would expect such as light switch by the bed for example.

The room served it's purpose. Upon settling in, I noticed a cable hanging grom the TV. Someone yanked the cable from the TV. I called for service. It was a very busy time due to the Eclipse happening the next day. Some time later, about an hour and a half, a maintenance person came and looked at the TV. The TV had to be replaced. I was told possibly the next morning. To my surprise, about an hour later, the TV was replaced.

Staff tries to be polite and helpful.
Room was not made on the second day, had to go to the desk for towels.
Breakfast had no coffee on April 8-9th, juice machine didn’t work, no muffins or danishes, no napkins only a tissue box, of the one double toaster, one side didn’t work. No hot food.

Looks like this property was recently taken over. A lot of work has gone into exterior and lobby. One whole wing shut off for renovations though. Breakfast was a loaf of bread and a toaster with juice and coffee. Whole place was full of odd odors. Desk staff was totally unmotivated. Hopefully they are working on getting it right.

I was supposed to be given a deluxe room with a separate bedroom and instead received a tiny little room with only half of the light bulbs working and a fan loud enough to scare small children in the bathroom.

Check-in took forever. We couldn't even flush the toilet when we got to our room because the water was shut off due to construction. The hallway stunk like cigarettes. The room was so small, we were bumping into each other. We didn't even take showers because the place was so gross

I am not using euphemisms nor and I speaking in hyperbole - this was by far one of the grossest, unkept, and sticky hotels Ive ever walked into. Had I not landed in Rochester at 11pm and had the option to go somewhere else - I wouldve. This place is reminicent of where people go after they get released on parol or they are paying for hotels by the month to live in.... My room had sticky substances like melted candy or chocolate under the couch cushion. The wall by the bed had what looked like dried blood. The bathroom felt like there would be cameras in it... SEEDY to say the least...

We were traveling with elderly parents that need assistance. We had booked a handicap accessible suite only to be told upon arrival that the only suites are on the second floor. The facility had no elevator to get to the second floor. The only option we had was to change to a room on the first floor of which only had single beds left for the night or go to a different hotel. There was no let me see how we can make it right. It was just too bad this is all there is. We had been on the road for 12 hrs and our parents need to get laid down so we had no choice but to put them in a first floor room alone. Both require assistance at a moments notice, so we let them sleep for a few hours while we waited in the car.

Our room was horrible. We booked a suit. There was a bag full of condoms on our couch, the room reeked of marijuana. No trash cans, the door frame to the 2nd door was not there, the door could not fully lock and could be pushed in from the outside. I told night clerk and nothing was done. Day clerk was very apologetic.

Its a middle of the road motel in terms of cleanliness and overall treatment by the workers but nothing I'd go out of my way to rent. That being said, nothing bad persay about the facility itself because for what it cost to rent the room it's exactly what I expected. Best thing was leaving early. Horrible place false advertising DO NOT go by the pictures!!! First room the ceiling and walls were lifting and peeling off the bathroom had black scum in the bathtub. Had sewer flies and wormy things on the bench by the bed. Second room they said it was better. It had very yellow stained pillows. Sheets weren’t changed and dirty. Phone didn’t work bathroom tap was never cleaned and had gross stuff on it. The tub had a 5 inch crack that the water went down , told them they didn’t care. The amount of dirt and stains on the wall was so bad in each room. Not sure if some was poop, cause it did look like poop. The hallways to get the your room were in just as bad shape. When I asked about the pictures of the nice rooms on the site, they said it was under construction. I did do a walk around and there was no construction in any floor. Find a different hotel.

Sketchy at best. Breakfast is cold cereal and various toast. Hallway floors have stains that call up images of bodies being dragged down them. Room from the 1970s. Mattress hails from the same basic era. But, hey, you get what you pay for, right?

We left at midnight and drove all the way home because it was gross and I couldn't sleep. I wish I had believed the other reviews before wasting my money. I didn't get a picture of the sheet stains because that was the last straw and I just packed up.

My husband and I stayed more 10 days, 2 weekends. Weekdays manager is more friendly , in the weekends ,we suggest to put someone with better skills and English understanding. Also, for NOT SMOKING facilities, weird smells, from customers, but also from employees, special at night. Sheriff's came 3 times, night and daylight.

I’ve stayed at Microtels in different locations and didn’t not think twice about booking at this particular location. The reviews are correct. Be cautious about booking unless price is what you’re after. In my opinion, stay at locations with the options with suites.

Nothing worked. Ice machine out. Vending machines out. Juice dispenser at breakfast broken. Coffee looked and tasted like dirty dishwater. Heat went out, and had to change room. After changing rooms, closet broken, and could not hang up clothes. Also, both rooms were dirty.

It was ine of the worst hotel stays i have ever had. The room was disgusting and smelled like cigarette smoke so bad we had to open the window and it still would not go away. The bathroom was not cleaned before we got there and the comforter had a big burn hole in it.

While it is in a good area in close proximity to the university and Rit, it is not safe due to people who stay there. The police advised us not to stay there.

Stains on carpet in hallway and room. Several outlets didnt work. Coffee machine (not a simple maker with a carafe) wasn't properly loaded ith coffee grounds so it was more like light brown water. Juice dispenser was not available due to "upgrades" (no work being done in breakfast area though). They said you can park in back and use the back card reader entrance- but they didn't say they'd lock it in the evening, nor was it posted- major inconvenice. Walls seem thin- or we had the world's loudest snorer next door.
