Friendly staff. Clean. Quick drive to South Beach and shopping.

This hotel certainly fell below our expectations. The room is very poorly organized. Shower door does not close and water splashes out. Restroom glass door was a joke, might as well remove it all together. Room had no water, no tea, and importantly Riu’s version of shampoo equals body wash, hand soap and pretty much whatever else you might think of. Linen was old and had spots all over. Not pleasant to sleep questioning whether someone else was in that bed before we came in and it is hard to tell as the sheets are old and lack the crisp. Must give a huge thank you to the staff, Julio at the front desk and just everyone we met during our stay. If not for them the experience would have been worse. This is a solid three star hotel. Great location but keep expectations lower. Also, this hotel charges extra for late check out in case flight is delayed like we had.

Beautiful hotel with easy access to beautiful Miami Beach. Continental breakfast buffet had many tasty options.

Loved the hotel and its location of Mid Beach. We love to walk so we were happy to be able to go to South Beach one way and North beach the other. Walking path behind hotel was great for us. The room service was wonderful. We never lacked for anything. Buffet breakfast was surely plentiful and very good. Nice quiet area at night.

Property was relaxing, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was very good. Drink prices were reasonable .

Very nice pool and acces to the beach!

It was ok. Room had a toilet that the flap kept catching, you pull the lid off and fixed the flap. A 2 day stay , we had to fix it 11 times. Didn't want to wait around for maintenance to come fix it. They have a confusing way of how they run the buffet. You are supposed to go into the restaurant, check out it, and then walk out to the main desk to purchase. I thought the restaurant would be separate. Go get a ticket from the front desk for a discount for the buffet which was promised when we checked in.Big miscommunication on what was going on. We ate at a great Mexican restaurant across the street.

didnt feel my room was cleaned had coffee stain on the little table that was there for 3 days. Sinks had stains in it for a coupke days. I was very upset that i was a guest at the hotel and had to pay 50 dollars a day to park my car. I should be free for guests.

Stayed in December, family of 4. Great hotel, definitely great value for money. What we loved: pool, breakfast (!), proximity to beach. Liked less: Room and overall structure needs updating. Poolside restaurant prices could be more friendly.

the elevator was not constantly not working, room was dusty, not even a water bottle ( which was promised for free) when doing reservation. Had to be looking for a bottle in the middle of the night to take a medication - people who work at valet parking ended up giving me a bottle water since front desk person just said " oh bottle of water were placed there, everything is closed now"

Liked the location and proximity to the beach. Clean property, staff was friendly. Travelling for business and found it odd that breakfast didn't start until 7:30. Elevators also not the greatest...slow and one broken I believe. Close to ground floor so it wasn't difficult to walk down the stairs but may have been for others on higher floors.

This hotel is not the usual RIUs. Its a "plaza" meaning very minimal RIU features are available. It's ok for a few days as we were there for 3 days but I wouldn't stay longer. The beach is very far away and the water is very rough so not gr8 for swimming. Just one main restaurant. Rooms are ok but could be better maintained. The view was amazing for the ocean views.

Don't stay here if you've got a car. Their valet staff were consistently rude and wouldn't let us pull into the driveway to simply unload our bags and check-in. He even criticized us for renting a car in the first place saying, "You should've just Ubered here" (although we were already 8 days into a 10-day trip through Florida.) Parking is almost always full (despite being an additional $40-50/day) so we were sent to park at a different hotel several blocks away (for $40-50/day.) And to make matters worse, our room was facing the street so we were constantly having to listen to the valet workers honking up a storm below us. It was such a bad first impression on the hotel, but the front desk manager said valet was subcontracted, so there was nothing they would do. He did promise to have the GM reach out and possibly move rooms to non-street-side, but no one ever followed up. Breakfast buffet was very impressive and for the most part, their staff was very accommodating and helpful. I don't think I'd stay there again (unless they change valet vendors) as my business requires we rent a car.

The room was not like the photos when we booked, it smells badly, it was near to the elevators which arw very old and was super noisy, couldnt sleep… wasnt a good experience, i had a 6 nogths book and i left the next day!

The location is good and easy for the BIG bus tour for Miami city staying in RIU plaza hotel Miami.

I did my check out this morning on 12.26.23. There is a mistake in my invoice. I asked at reception about information the Christmas Eve dinner event on 12.24.23 and the reception said that I will not have a charge $198.00, because I booked my stay with dinner included for my 4 days, and I had paid my dinner in my booked. So, why my invoice was charged the Christmas Event? I asked before event and I had another information, because if I know will charge I didn’t paid 2 times dinner for the same day dinner. I would like my refund back about this situation $198.00. I sent a email to the hotel, but I didn’t have any answers yet

No car park place in front and valley parking people spoke like bullies and were demanding $40 even after the reception told us that we can park the car and unload the luggage for few minutes! Just felt like money making attempt! Hotel and breakfast facilities were nice but overall facilities made me rate it 3*

Think Twice before staying Here!!! Booked though December 16 & 18,2023 arrived before check in, while in the lobby my husband was sitting down with his eyes closed and resting his feet on a ottoman we were told he could not be sleeping in the lobby, we got there at the hotel right after our cruise, we were very tired, we just want to rest in the lobby waiting for our room to be ready. Once we were in our room #419 We noticed how old and rundown everything was in the room, The worst part was that there was a BLOOD STAIN on the bedsheets, Once we notice the Blood Stain we told the hotel manager and he did not care to see the picture, nor did he apologized. The only nice people at the hotel were the Bellman, again Think Twice before staying in this Hotel.

Everything was clean, the hotel is in a good location. Nice having own access to beach along with chairs! Everything seemed to be more on the expensive side of things, however

No elevators for 2 days. And all we had was 2 days.

I was in Miami for work and didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel but while I was there, everyone was very nice & helpful.

Mid-beach Hotel is old although the 1st floor is reconditioned very nicely. Oceanfront room was dated, but quite large and good bathroom. Surrounding area is very quiet, not many restaurant options. If you are looking for outdoor restaurants, cafes, entertainment or bars, this is not the place - maybe go closer to 14th Ave. area. Great beach area & free lounges & umbrellas. Pool closes early (6 pm). On site restaurant is expensive. Personnel were very helpful and pleasant.

I liked the pool area and grounds. Very relaxing. The staff were friendly and looked after us well. I found our room to be spacious but the WC was not user friendly. No hooks for clothing towel, rack quite high. Over all I rate our stay 4.5 out of 5.

Terribly unfriendly. Poor check in and communication for sure. Plus, they don’t take cash at the cafe, store, pool, etc. It’s crazy not to take cash. Just rude and not understanding at all. Never go back.
