first, breakfast was disappointing, few options, sorry but it's the truth. The hotel is not bad.. but I didn't like the beds the mattress was very uncomfortable maybe old I don't know it was a long 6 hrs trip to get to pagosa and we wanted to rest but the mattress was disappointing and the bathroom looked clean but we found hair on the walls and in the bathtub and also at the headboards of the beds. my children really liked the pool.. large, clean ☆☆☆☆

Had a wonderful stay at the Hillside Inn. Booked last minute and were not disappointed. Slept well and this is a safe and clean property.

It was clean but VERY thin walls! You could hear everything in the rooms on either side & in the hall! Our room was close to the pool so we could also hear the echos from that & strong smell of chlorine. For the price it was extremely bare bones. Instant coffee in the room was also a disappointment. The bed wasnt very comfortable & the blanket/bedspread was very thin.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, lots of hot water. Many choices for eating close by and the location is absolutely beautiful. We only got to stay one night, but I would definitely go back. Thank you

Didn’t get in till 10pm. Waited about 8 minutes for the front desk person to come up to the front. Called the only number available multiple times. Was a little worried we wouldn’t get our room.

Stayed here 2 nights for New Years weekend. The room was very clean, very close to swimming pool and near exits as well. However the staff is not the friendliest, I was charged an extra fee for having an “extra” adult, even though our reservation was placed exact with number of people in our party. Also, we went to the pool the second day and there was no towels and no one at the front desk to consult, they had a bell to ring for service and no one ever came out. Other people had already said they had asked for towels earlier but they never arrived. Lastly, breakfast was extremely weak, basically all they had was cereal, some bagels and coffee. They had raw eggs in a fridge but no where to cook them and microwave had a sign which indicated “No eggs in microwave”. Overall a little pricey for a very standard/ basic hotel with no satisfying service.

We needed a weekend get away and the hotel did not disappoint. It was quiet and cozy. The pool was indoors and warm with a jacuzzi. I’m definitely coming back.

Building is pretty rundown. There were water pockets in the shower and the floor was coming up in there too. Breakfast was very basic and not very inviting. Ok stay for one night but not worth the price in my opinion.

Came around noon on nov 25 , just to confirm my reservation , nobody at lobbby , after ring the bell , probably 2 minutes show up a person , male first word he said , WE are to busy in the back !!! I said ok , can you confirm my reservation, please , he said we have nobody cleaning the rooms or more personal , ( but with a tone , showing he is pissed ), I said well I’m sorry to hear that , but I think that’s not my problem , I’m just a guest . He said YES that’s your problem too , and ask me DO you want stay at the hotel or Not !!! Yelling at me . Damn really bad experience. I know customer service is getting so scarce , but don’t think so have to suffer humiliation from some frustrated hotel clerk , manager or whatever he was , cause he denied to identify himself .

room services were incomplete when we arrived in late afternoon, only one person in charge of the whole hotel complex in main lobby. No information about dinning until asked (we ended up in the wrong place anyway). Breakfast was very poor and limited, window did not have way of letting light in without exposed onto all traffic outside. I think it is a place to go when you are so desperate in that town, not much else was offered by Pagosa Springs, unless you are willing to pay 3X as much for one night. We ended up going to our next designation for brunch.

The front desk lady upon checkin was really nice, we did have to switch rooms once because the one we were originally in the air conditioner didn’t work & there was a old Modelo can in the little dresser next to the beds so obviously the housekeeper isn’t doing their job properly as that should of been cleaned and the can would of been found. The second room we got moved to was better no issues. The swimming pool was a good size , the hot tub the jets weren’t working & there were 2 small centipedes that were crawling around the hot tub area so that was a little alarming. The breakfast was very plain just basic cereal and oatmeal, some muffins and yogurt. Overall wasn’t bad, the front desk lady was very apologetic of having to switch rooms.

The front desk agent was over the top helpful & knowledgeable about the town & hot tub was great but these old beds & linens were nasty, the white comforter has big round yellow pee pee stains, the bed frame is metal but dusty like never been cleaned under bed skirt. They could easy have bedbugs but glad we only had an overnight hard to sleep comfortably. Fruit was fresh for breakfast-only real plus for $200, I always have hard time with ratings because I like to help others out but just want to be informative here.
