Beautiful hotel with amazing rooms and views. Would highly recommend staying here. The staff was wonderful.

One of the best properties we stayed in. Very zen, all the staff was very friendly. Such a calm feeling around the property, lots of beaches nearby. The hotel had a free shuttle which is very helpful. Love the staff who were very warm. The room was amazing, for any couple on a vacation or doing honeymoon, this property is a must. We also went to Four Seasons, and while it was very nice, it was too busy for vacation vibe. I will stay at this place any day

Amazing. I never want to stay anywhere else.

The property is amazing, great views with great service. The rooms were comfortable. Food options at the hotel were limited though, especially if you are vegan/vegetarian.

A truly incredible experience. One of the most beautiful properties we've stayed at. Wonderful staff and INCREDIBLE food.

This is our go-to place to stay when we want a quiet relaxing time. The food is great and the suites are very comfortable, with stunning views of Molokini and Kaho'olawe. And great customer care!
Will stay here again!

The staff in the main lobby (Bird Cage) was totally overwhelmed and under-staffed.
Our first night at the Hotel- we brought our friends from the Four Seasons to check out the hotel and invited them for drinks in the Lobby area. We were not welcomed by anyone- we had to seat ourselves and we were ignored. I was willing to order drinks myself at the bar, but was told to go back to my seat and wait for server. We were finally approached by the rude Server (after waiting 10 min) whom told me that I should complain to Management- so that they could hire more staff at the Hotel. ??!!
Bizarrre... Needless to say- I will not be inviting other guests to this Hotel for drinks.

Very nice and unique resort unlike most in Hawaii that are massive “mega” resort, this has a more boutique feel. The architecture is amazing (seems to be Japanese inspired) and rooms are spread out throughout the campus, adding to its uniqueness. My wife and I stayed in a room on the bottom floor but the way the topography is still allowed for ocean views. Beautiful gym located on the second floor with amazing views of the ocean. If I was getting nit picky the only negatives were that the pool does not have any views and it is not oceanfront, so you need to drive down the hill to get to the beach.

Great property much quieter and elegant than the big hotels chains down the street. Quiet pool, beaches at walkable distance, amazing sunset views at birdcage bar, great pool bar and Adult only is a plus. Not particularly charming but confortable, efficient and very clean. Some of the staff seemed new and could have used some more hospitality training. Overall great experience and recommended.

This hotel was five star in service, staff, and luxury. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The best hotel we’ve stayed in so far. Hotel Wailea is perfect for couples as it’s adults only. It’s intimate, quiet, and the service is spectacular. We especially enjoyed the poolside servers and bartenders and made daily use of the valet shuttle to other areas of Wailea. Also, the Birdcage Bar was our fave after-dinner spot. I highly recommend booking an ocean view suite if possible. Fabulous experience.

The only things holding me back from giving 5 stars is the fact that we had to kill 3 large bugs in our unit while we were there. Also, when we asked for replenishment of snacks and they said they would do it but never did. Otherwise this trip was a total dream and we loved it!

The place is marvelous, but they should soundproof the rooms. At night, it almost feel like you are sleeping on a Motel due to all the moaning from neighbors doing adult-only activities at night.

It is a pretty spot, but it is a long distance from any beach, which did not come through to us from the advertising materials. The units are clean and pleasant, but not particularly well-maintained. For example, our living room television did not work. We called the front desk to report it and they never fixed it.
One staff person, Allan, who delivered room service one night, was excellent. Personable, helpful about local events, and very positive about his employer. But like so many places, the hotel is clearly understaffed. At the restaurant for breakfast, the food was delayed and cold, and people were running around in obvious crisis management mode. And the place was not that busy. One waiter asked us if we would like iced coffee to take along, which we thought was a very nice touch. We accepted his offer, and he disappeared, never to be seen again until we later ran into him as he hurried to the staff parking lot. It must have been the end of his shift. A gracious touch gone awry.
But on balance, this is a nice, quiet place to wind down. With all the accolades this hotel gets, you might have very high expectations. But you should lower them. It is certainly not as excellent in all respects as some of the awards would suggest. It claims to have been recognized as the best hotel on the Hawaiian islands. In our opinion it is far from that. It overpromises and under delivers a bit.

We loved our stay at Hotel Wailea. It was very quiet and romantic. Every suite has a beautiful lanai where you can listen to nature, enjoy reading, or use the hotel binoculars to spot whales in the ocean.
The pool is quite small and more crowded than expected, given there are only 72 rooms in the hotel. We started at a Partial Ocean View Suite and upgraded to a Celebration Suite and would not recommend doing this. It was only 2 doors down from our original suite with an identical interior and view for an extra $500 per night. The only bonus was a $60 breakfast credit, which we enjoyed on our lanai, but breakfast for a couple is $80.
The shuttles to Wailea were incredible. We didn’t use any other hotel amenities because we enjoy the beach and had family stay at hotels with less crowded pools. We would love to return but would definitely stick to Partial Ocean Suite.

Was a smaller more intimate resort. Never a thought about getting a good chair by the pool, or dealing with other people's kids. All services and food were top notch.

We stayed at Hotel Wailea for our elopement and honeymoon. The resort and its staff exceeded all expectations, which were quite high given the price tag and other glowing reviews. Even before we arrived, the hotel had emailed us multiple times to make sure that everything was arranged and to note any preferences. I have severe allergies and felt very safe during the trip. All of the food and drinks were delicious albeit expensive (but not more so than the rest of Wailea). We eloped off property but the hotel was very accommodating in helping with transportation to and from the beach location and arranged a fantastic wedding dinner at the hotel restaurant. There were many small, complimentary touches in the room and at the pool (ex/ champagne, snacks) that made the trip so incredibly special and the service was exceptional. The property itself is so lush, well maintained and private. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. It is adults only and perfect for a romantic vacation. We will be saving our money to hopefully return on anniversary trips!
A special thank you to Eric, Alvin, Bridget (with the poolside staff) and all of the valets/drivers for making this trip so memorable. I never write reviews but felt very compelled to do so given the exceptional experience at this hotel. Definitely worth the spurge if you are able to afford it. Mahalo!

Beautiful property that never seems crowded. The Beach area for the Joel is good and the shuttle service quick. The on site restaurant is exceptional. Wi-fi not so good in our suite which we found odd given the clientele.

The property is absolutely beautiful. Loved how the room felt like having our own suite. Food at the restaurant was hit or miss, but there’s plenty of other options in the area.

First the good , beautifully landscaped, well maintained property. The Staff is very nice and helpful, Pool was fantastic and kept warm. Here's a heart felt review, though attempting to charge Four Seasons prices, they fall well short of a Four Seasons resort. We all realize its an island and recognize island costs but this resort really upset me with their food and beverage pricing. Everywhere on the island you can get Domestic beers for $5-6 here they want $10. They give you a coffee machine in the room but charged us $20 a day for 2 glasses of milk for the coffee.
We ate at the bird cage, in room and at the pool. The Papperadel with crab was 1/8 lb pasta , cheapest crab, not lump with pieces of shells in it $70 for this is ridiculous. Yes certain 5 star rest.. can charge this but the foods way better, better ingredients etc. The food is 4 stars at best and should be priced accordingly. No fresh fruit on a an island full of fruit etc. Drinks same way... way over priced but good.
They get high marks for most things. Bring the food quality up or the prices down one or the other.

Wonderful experience! Pool bartender, James, was super fun! The pool was relaxed but with a fun bar area. You could go to the pool anytime of the day and easily get a chair or even a cabana. The rooms had everything you could need - fridge, freezer, silverware, , etc. Service was amazing from room service, waitstaff, front desk. Definitely a 5-star experience. The only disadvantage is that it’s not on the beach but the hotel offers free shuttles there and back, plus chairs, towels, umbrellas and water once you’re there so it’s really convenient. Would stay here again and highly recommend!

This was my favorite spot that we stayed at in Maui, I loved all of the little details that made our visit special and already want to return!

Our stay was pretty good besides there being no water for 24 hours. This meant no showers, the restaurant did not open/serve food, and there was no way to use the bathroom. While this was not the hotels fault, it was also not mine. All they did was offer two drink tickets after I complained to try to fix this. This just simply is not enough considering how much we were paying.
