Discovery Inn

Very helpful staff. Room was clean and good price. Great experience overall.

By mistake I booked a single king for a 4 night stay when I actually needed a 2 bed. The first night my friend and I had to stay in the single bed, the manager the next morning switched us to a nicer room, that had a higher rate, with 2 beds for no charge. It’s a budget hotel with a lot of residents seeming to be long term/weekly renters but my experience was comfortable beds, fridge/microwave, good working AC and generally peaceful and quiet environment. I’ve stayed in a lot of inexpensive budget motels before and sometimes it’s luck of the draw but for the rate I received, the room and hospitality was a good value. Also very close to Midvale train station, 1 block walk about 2 minutes. Made getting to the festival in SLC state fairground very easy. Also a really good diner next door. Awesome breakfast(dinner menu looked good too but only went in the morning) and they share a parking lot. So all in all very convenient location for travelers especially if on a budget.

Parking was easy and the Inn was really close to the transit system which helped. When I came in, staff was efficient with the check in process. The room was decent as well.

Nice facility. A little tired but generally well maintained and super comfortable.
