The hotel is very clean and comfortable. It is not fancy, but it was exactly what we needed. We got a room with a kitchenette, which was super convenient and saved us a lot of money. They offer a free shuttle, but it runs certain hours of the day, so you need to call ahead for it to reserve and it’s not guaranteed. That said, it worked out for us even with an after midnight arrival and departure. The parking is right on site, and we had no problem finding space. They have outlets to plug in your car during the winter to preserve the battery. They did not provide daily room service, but we didn’t need it, and I think you can get service upon request. All in all, a comfortable budget place.

The Clarion Suites was a nice stay. It is an older hotel but it was very clean. Any time we needed towels or coffee for our stay they were quick to provide. My only complaint is the shuttle. I called the day before we were arriving to book. The lady at the desk took info and said they would be there by 10:30. When we arrived and got oyr luggage, I called. Suppose to be on the way. We had to wait for an hour before he came. He did take us through a fast food to get lunch because we had a tour picking us up at the hotel at 12:15. Today we were catching the train. I talked to the lady at the desk yesterday when we came in. She told me to call back in an hour to make sure the shuttle would be available. I called and she had us down for 4 of us and our bags at 7. We were in the lobby at 7. The shuttle left with the first load and came back. Picked up another load and came back. We dod not get yo the train station until 8. Dont count on the shuttle.

We chose this property because it has a kitchenette. Most of the staff at the front were super friendly and helpful. The hotel could use some updating but it was clean. We stayed for a week. They were understaffed. They didn’t come to clean our rooms while we were there.

Everything was as good as expected. Plenty of space in the room. There is a shuttle for travel to the airport but it doesn't start early enough for people leaving on an early morning flight. Location is good for a person staying in town for a few days.

We were met by a delightful employee at the front desk on our arrival. We had a dog with us and we filled out the paperwork and deposit no problem. The problem we did encounter was on the next morning when we were getting ready to check out and get some breakfast. The fellow at the front desk was very short and unfriendly in his disposition and words when we came down by the front desk. l headed towards the side entrance to start the truck as we were in very cold - 17 degree temp and let the diesel truck warm up. The fellow at the counter told me the side door was not to be used, I said to him I believe it says exit on the sign and that the door is an egress from the building. That I had used the door last night to make sure the vehicle was ok. He said that it was not ok for me to use the side entrance as homeless people attempt to sneak in . he also said that if our dog did any damage to the room we would be charged for it. Like I did not already know that.. and he was not friendly, he has lost his compass on understanding that customers that stay at the Hotel are the reason he has a job and being kind in his words are important in the way people view the experience. Kind words can do wonders and he does not represent those kind of values. I think he just does not understand that concept. He acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us stay at the Hotel. very strange . I think he needs a little better understanding of how to talk to people. and be kind and thoughtful.

What i like about it is the location itself its close to everything. Parking is easy. Staff is friendly. The place is a bit out dated. But the room is clean. Breakfast is good. And the bar.

The room was very spacious and clean, but very outdated. The hotel itself was very outdated. The breakfast was definitely not worth bragging about. Luckily the Crepery was nearby. Overall it was a decent stay.

It’s an older building, but the staff is great . I’m very friendly. We drove in from Wasilla. Checking was fast was friendly service. The elevator has kind of a musty smell. The room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The free breakfast was excellent. Overall, I would stay up this property again.

Hotel offers shuttle service but it is VERY limited. We called as our flight was coming in late to let them know. They sent a driver at the orginal time, who waited a little bit then left. When we arrived we called and no shuttle service even tho the hours said they did. We had to get a taxi (no easy here) and they did not reimburse for the taxi. Next day we asked about a shuttle to go downtown, nope no shuttle. We only got a shuttle on our last day to the airport as we arranged it and checked on it every day including the morning we were leaving. Prior to stay was sent a note about the shuttle and where they could take us (some at an extra charge which was ok) but in reality they barely have shuttle service and will not go anywhere but the airport.
Hotel is dated but not horrible. Beds were comfortable.

The staff was super friendly and helpful in every way. Everything was clean and well stocked, Plus you’re invited to a plentiful and delicious breakfast buffet in the morning. We’ll definitely be back!

Jessie at the front desk was fantastic. Very helpful and friendly. We had an issue with our reservation and she went above and beyond to help us out. Made our stay in Fairbanks that much better. Thank you Jessie!

Hotel manager was not customer serviced oriented in any fashion. Room was dated and had an odor. The Wi-Fi did not work, they admitted knowing about this problem, but had no desire to fix it. They advertise and even text you about the shuttle but it was not available during my stay. Worst hotel I have every stayed in. Breakfast was almost not edible

Selected this motel because they advertised “area shuttle” and shuttle to and from airport. I should have called to clarify and/or they should make their policies more clear online. There were shuttles for additional fees to specified area attractions (such as Chen’s Hot Springs) but not just “local”(for example I wanted to go to The Museum of the North at UAF). Shuttle service to the airport cut off at 6 pm but they didn’t tell me I had to get my name on a list, so when I wanted the shuttle I was told there was none available. Staff were friendly and room was decently clean though the halls were drab by and not very clean. Breakfast was decent. But overall I was disappointed. Do not recommend staying there if you don’t have a vehicle as it was not easy access to anything.

Was disappointed that we could not get a shuttle from the train depot. Our room did not have a blow dryer informed and requested one did not receive. Was not informed about breakfast until our group inquired. Nice waiting area to gather a group. Staff greeted us upon each of our arrivals.

Clean convenient hotel. Easy walk to downtown and not too far from shopping center (1.3 miles to Safeway and Costco). Breakfast was great. Staff are friendly and work hard to help you.

This is our second stay on return from Dead Horse AK. We got the same room for my disabilities and we made use of free laundry services. Food was great as usual.
