Only issue I had was the first night my wife had to call front desk because the room next to us were smoking marijuana, security was sent and they moved our room the next morning.

Nice hotel, very clean and great access to KFC yum center. The only bad I have to say about this hotel is that the bed was very uncomfortable, you would figure that the bedding, sheets and pillows would be up to par with how nice the rest of the hotel is.

Reception staff were abrupt. The room was spacious, we got a suite, but the bedding was stiff, and the ceiling was peeling from water damage. Also, for the amount we paid per night, parking should have been free. Parking was $30!

Just stayed over night, overall it was fine just a couple of meh moments. Check in was fine but didn't get fully informed about the parking. I asked where do we parked he told me but didn't explain that hotel guets needed a QR code to get in or the cost. We grabbed a ticket and went to validate and that's when we we're told $30 to add to our room- which wasn't a problem but a little heads up would of been nice. We went to one of the hotel restaurants.. Walker's Exchange... not the quickest or the best. I ordered the quarter fried chicken with the greens and macaroni. The chicken was burnt, the macaroni was luke warm to cool, the greens weren't too bad, my husband ordered the Hot Brown let's just say it wasn't up to the standard of what a hot brown should be. Overall I would stay again just now I know some things.

The room was great - with a living room area, bathroom and large bedroom. Nice to have that kind of space when staying at a hotel for several days. LOVE the valet parking service, so highly recommend if you can swing it. I would stay here again!

We had a good stay for the most part. But it wasn’t because of the staff. My husbands birthday was the reason for the trip, and they were great at the start. They took care of our parking for the night and placed us with a nice view of the river which was extremely appreciated. However, after that, we were given incorrect information by staff, sending us on a wild goose chase. On one occasion we asked which level the gym was on and were told the 18th floor. Once we got through the huge building, we found out this was not true. We called the front desk later that night and asked for another blanket (the comforter was an uncomfortable texture). It was never brought, we went downstairs and asked again after running to the car. About 30 min later, 1 blanket was dropped off.

Been to the Galt several times. The remodel is fantastic. Hotel is close to everything and the executive rooms have adequate room for an entire family.

Nice hotel however the service is non existent. When checking in I was simply given a key and told 16th floor, with no information about amenities, restaurant times or anything about the hotel. After dragging 2 large cases to the 16th floor, my room was no where to be seen! I made my way back to the reception with my bags and asked them to show me my room, to which he replied - it’s over the road in the other building! No details given throughout my stay which is a shame. The restaurant made me wait 45 minutes until ordering a drink (after being sat down), then my main course came out with my starter. I sent the mains back, however in the 10 minutes it took to eat my starter, the main course was brought back out sadly ruined by being left on the hot plate for so long (starters were left out and not cleared, see picture). Extremely poor service, however the hotel is in a prime location and is cleaned and looked after very well.

We stayed here last year and it was fabulous. This year we had a room with a view of the shingles of the roof and building air conditioner! It was like staying in a dungeon. I would never had paid this price for the worst room I have ever stayed at in my life. Room service did not arrive until around 3pm. Management simply said sorry. “Not all rooms are good.” I expected it to be for that price or at least to be told when checking in that I was in a “not so good” room. I would have stayed at a 1-star hotel and paid a 1-star price. Very disappointed.

The front desk staff was not very informative on arrival. Did not explain parking very well and then having to park at one building but staying in the other building was very inconvenient. The bed/mattress was not the best. Felt like a water bed every time my partner moved next to me. The location was and views from the room were very nice. Spacious room.

I stayed at The Galt 15 months ago and room wasnt renovated. I asked for a renovated room on a 3 day stay this week. Thank you it was a standard room, but renvatee and much appreciated.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There was a convention going on that we were not a part of, but we did not feel lost in the convention crowd at all. From the time we checked in (after midnight) to the time we got our bags out of storage after we checked out and our flight was delayed, everyone was helpful--no matter the time of day or night.

Unfortunately upon entering our room, there was heaving smoking and we had to relocate. As well as the water bottle service was half empty, which is concerning. The sheets that covered the bed did not fit and the under bedding was exposed at the feet area of the bed. Only thin blanks provided for the linens with sheet that cover it as a duvet. No extra blankets, so I had to use a towel to stay warm through the night. The staff relocated us to a different room quickly, which was nice. Location was great.

Pure chaos when we arrived due to a million kids and families in town for some competitions!? Could barely walk through the whole hotel! Valet person was nice and bellhop as well - front desk needs an English interpreter! Hotel room was best party - nice and very clean and beautiful river view so all was not lost.

They originally tried to move us to the west tower, which we hadn’t booked. We had to get a manager to actually open rooms for us to stay in the east tower. Previous reviews recommended us to make sure we stayed in east tower, as it’s more recently been renovated. I would concur with that, as well as access to parking and other amenities.

The Galt house hotel was amazing we loved our stay with you and hope to come back again everyone was so good and loved all the services you have such as the parking of cars they were super good we had to go to a meeting they let us put our things in the car and put it back for us until we were done. Fantastic hotel, lots of walking as the place is huge but so clean and everything about this place is fantastic! Parking is a bit confusing and want told about charges to park as I thought it was included but that’s the only thing I was surprised about!

Room was outdated to me. We stayed in the West tower. East tower is much nicer. Bar on 3rd floor was only open till midnight on Wednesday and Thursday. 1 am on Friday and Saturday. Normally that is fine but this was the Farm Show week and bar was packed and willing to stay there and pay for drinks rather than somewhere else.

Very classy place by looking at it but needs attention in rooms pillows were horrible had to go to a dept. Store and but pillows the bed sheets are a plastic fiber are loud when you toss and turn. The chairs are quite firm and not very comfortable .
