It's all about location. It's best to be in the mountains at sunrise and sunset. They have improved a few rooms. The beds are comfortable and pillows too. Place is clean and maintained.
The grounds are very nice but.....I guess the park department doesn't care about the view. Don't ask for a room with a view because they only have 2 or 3. They trees have grown so much they have no view of the valley. Total shame.
The price is so much better from Expedia.....the park service site wants more than double the price. I'll never go thru the park department again.

What an amazing place to stay! The views were incredible, including out of the window from our beds. Very clean, and would recommend to anyone. The on site restaurant was good, although service was slightly slow. Also my daughter really enjoyed her pony ride experience down at Skyland stables.
