Great visit. Pretty windy first 4 days then perfect weather. The the Canoe House Restaurant is probably our favorite and made for a wonderful visit. We attended the Friday evening Luau and that was also very well done.

we loved our stay at this resort with our ocean front room. building is well kept and the bar is a great hang out next to the pool.
one issue we noticed was the morning buffet that was being over run with little brown sparrows eating from the serving utensils and the flies on everything edible. the staff need to keep an eye on this and to follow up on closing covers and replacing anything that can be contaminated.
other than that, we loved it here and will be back

Beautiful, clean, resort. Staff were amazing, kind, helpful, happy. They all claimed that this was the most wonderful place to work! Rooms were large, comfortable, and had all the products and amenities. Restaurants were all great and easy to get in ( Canoe club hint: if you can’t get rezzie, go to the bar where full menu is served and bartenders are fun!). Loved this place! Will definitely return

The hotel is beautifully designed throughout. The three pools plus the beach club a short walk away provide plenty of sun and swim opportunities.
The room systems are very high tech to a fault. Even the hair dryer was complicated. The bed and bedding are very comfortable. Our cooling system was not working and since we didn’t want workmen there for four hours, there was no option but to suffer through. Some other option or compensation would have seemed appropriate at this level. All in all, a lovely stay in many ways but some glitches.

It's a fantastic redo of a 1970s classic hotel—excellent staff, food, and service.

This Auberge property is beautiful and elegant providing GREAT service especially by Matthew and Ku'ulei.
Matthew helped make a stressful day (United cancelling flights) much better with his calm demeanor and assistance.
If you can afford it, splurge on a residence. It is WOW and next level. large table that's good for co-working with a team of 6-8 people. Good internet access.
Bathtub was deep and I enjoyed a good soak.
Pool could've been a little warmer to accommodate night swim.
giant indoor shower and also outdoor shower (fancy!!)

Concierge service is not helpful for arranging activities outside of the hotel. They don’t even know the activities happening in the hotel.

Overall serenity was outstanding. Most tranquil place we have ever been to. Truly Beautiful!
The only thing that was not perfect were the balcony areas, they were somewhat laden with bird droppings.

We had a beautiful stay! Would like more amenities to be available at the spa

The service was amazing. The property was beautiful. Staff was helpful and freindly.

It was SO nice there (yes, it's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for as opposed to other places that charge a lot but offer a much lower quality.) We were welcomed and treated well and would recommend to others (and we'd go back again!)

Gorgeous property. The most perfect relaxing vacation with my husband. Can’t wait to go back!

Loved the buffet breakfast selections: ahi tuna & malasadas were plentiful & delicious. The beach was rocky so didn’t enjoy it that much. Used the adult pool more which was very nice. Had dinner at canoe house celebrating our anniversary. Food and view was good but our server forgot it was our 25th anniversary and no special treat was brought out at the end of our meal. That was a bummer. So we enjoyed our stay but feel that some things could use improvement.

This hotel is absolutely stunning ! The layout of the hotel lobby is so beautiful and tranquil, the little bamboo sanctuary area with hammocks was so unique. The rooms (we stayed on the 6th floor Mountain View) were very spacious and beautifully decorated, and the beds were so comfortable! The decks were massive and at night you could lay on the couch out there and see the stars. The entire staff, from housekeeping, pool staff, store clerks, parking attendants were friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze with a very friendly staff at the front desk. Although expensive the drinks and food were all excellent. The beach was so beautiful and tons of fish and turtles were seen while snorkeling. The pools were impeccable and refreshing. We loved our stay and will recommend it to all our friends ! 🌺

Good! I love here!

The property was beautiful and very quiet and peaceful. Had dinner at the CanoeHouse and it was wonderful (slightly pricey -but what isn't in this part of tne Island?).
Room was very elegant and comfortable--my only minor complaint is that you can't turn off tne lights (even the bedside lamps) once you're in bed. You have to get up and hit the switch on the wall which turns all lights off/on!

Love this area of Hawaii and the grounds at Mauna Lani are gorgeous. The interior with all of its unique artifacts were special.
Want to send special Aloha and Mahalo to Mel at the Valet and Kyra in the Halani Restaurant. Wonderful people!!!
Oh and Quinn out at the Beach Area. Aloha

Our wonderful experience of staying at the Mauna Lani Resort in the big island of Hawaii for 10 days filled with great times: Pure elegance, comfort, deilightful atmosphere, demostrated integrity in quality (all foods, services, and decors), honesty, and accountability of all that the staff and management do, are the foundations upon which we felt the Mauna Lani is built! Our family imagined to have a perfect vacation in Hawaii to celebrate our ten-year anniversary and the premises of Mauna Lani Resort made that imagination a reality.
I would admire the staff of the resort for obsessing over their guest experience and make sure they exceeded our expectations, as well as the management for listening and acknowledging minor feedbacks we provided them during our stay and subsequently making meaningful actions to make our stay as excellent as possible. All the foods at the resort restaurants were truly delicious and appeared to be all made with organic and healthy ingredients. One of the best parts also were the complimentary kids club and kids meals! The spa, pools, and beaches were super clean and awesome. Highly recommending to choose Mauna Lani Resort as your next destination and look no further 🙂

The hotel was amazing in every way. The staff were phenomenally helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the grounds were beautiful. Couldn’t have imagined a softer landing after a long flight from NYC.

I have to say it's the best 5-star hotel in big island! With the price you pay, it's amazing, nothing to complain, I'll come back, highly recommend this place!

The hotel was amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone! I stayed on a solo trip and had an amazing time - everyone that worked there was super friendly, awesome restaurants, pools were amazing (love the adults only pool), great activities (highly recommend the sunrise canoe and tennis clinics), etc. Will definitely be back.

Had an amazing time on the property. There was only a few disputes that will hopefully be taken care of. Everything was so clean. The food was amazing and the beach was beautiful. The staff was really friendly. I had an amazing time.

I do like how the hotel was refurbished mixing the old with some new style. I do think the suite I had was a tad small but the bathroom was large and the view was lovely. I do think the breakfast area and Halani was a great addition to the hotel but it needs more breakfast variety and a higher end menu for brunch on weekends. The prices are high but the good news is they are everywhere so it is the 3rd best resort on the island of Kona. It can be the 2nd if it reconfigures the spa and adds a new restaurant that serves kid-free fare. A little less noise would be nice in the pool area so expanding the children's pool would be wise.

It was the best hotel I have ever been
I cried when I left

We trusted the brand - therefore booked a room. All is well, except the front desk staff. There was no friendliness nor were they welcoming. I felt very disrespected. And they were definitely NOT there to provide customer service!!!
I don’t think I’ll come back here, I will go to four seasons.

Valet was unprofessional and disingenuous (for example, they led us to believe that valet parking was included in the hotel rate, and it was not).
Front desk lacked basic hospitality decorum. At one point we were handed wrist room key fobs stained with sunblock.
Our first room was not clean. There were smears on the furniture, and one of the sinks contained particulate matter which we were later told was likely the result of plumbing issues (backflow of material between rooms).
The director of rooms honored our request to cancel our upcoming room reservation and we appreciate her consideration considering our experience with the Mauna Lani, Auberge resort.
Unfortunately this was neither the quality or service I anticipated for a resort with a $1000/night price point.

Incredible ambiance and experience at all parts of the resort. The atmosphere was extremely relaxing, while still fun. Staff was very friendly, food was fantastic, and there are lots of activities to participate in.

Overall, good experience. However, seemed short staffed. Neither at the pool nor the beach were there attendants available for chair set-up. It was also strange that during a time when the hotel is not crowded, we were given literally the furthest room from everything. Lastly, the staff seemed on edge at check-in and wasn’t as warm as I have experienced elsewhere. However, the hotel is beautifully updated and food was fantastic.

We enjoyed our last days on Hawaii enjoying the beautiful gardens and pool beach . The restaurant Canoe was 1st class, and the dedicated service provided by Edwin at the reception made our stay memorable ! The signature cocktail Mai Thai is definitely to be recommend !

The food was outstanding. The service excelled.

Excellent stay. Recently remodeled property. Well appointed, quiet, good facilities, beautiful and relaxing. Expect to pay a lot for everything: rooms, taxes, state fees, resort fees, parking, meals, drinks. If you expect it, you won't be surprised.

Beautiful grounds, stunning lobby, attentive and helpful staff. Only complaint is that our arrival was made chaotic because we arrived at the same time a Roberts tour bus was unloading. Just a little unlucky there.

Our family had a magical time at the Mauna Lani. The beach, the food, the staff, the entire vibe -- incredible.
