(1) Check in was abominably slow. It took 42 minutes from the time I got in line to when I had my keys. Only one person checking people in and didn't seem to care how slow he was going. Other staff members were behind the front desk, milling around, doing nothing to help. (2) No lockers available for scuba gear at the dive operation. Pathetic. (3) workout room in a dilapidated, run-down state with missing and largely inoperable equipment. (4) noisy room facing one of the busiest roads on the island (5) dirty room with hair from previous guests on the floor and in the shower, stained towels, stained bedspread (6) leaking air conditioner dripping water on our bag until we discovered it. (7) pathetic and uncomfortable pillows (8) hallway water dispensers almost always empty or inoperative (9) curtain that was too thin and ill fitting to block out the very highly lit road front facing window at night.

The pictures are great but the actual place is bad. Property maintenance poor. Front desk staff not friendly. Most of them work there because they have to, not because they want to . Dining buffet very limited in options.

I have friends on the Island and security would not them come past the lobby to visit. My whole group had to sit in the lobby to visit and he had traveled from Cancun to meet my grandsons and visit my daughters and I.
The rooms are well kept, but OLD!

Enjoyed everything about the property and the staff. Only disappointment was that we thought we booked all inclusive, as our confirmation email said "all inclusive" on it. When we arrived, the front desk staff told us that the "all inclusive" was just in the title of the hotel and that we did not have an all inclusive package. Very deceptive.

Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name associated with this property. Staff are great, very clean. Beds are barely above Motel 6 quality. The foam mattress pads are too mushy. No refrigerators normally. You have to ask for one and pay 50 dollars a day that is stocked with beer and drinks. Or 25 a day for just the refrigerator. To the hotel's credit, they did put one in our room when I told them I needed one to store medication and did not charge me.
The bathroom is so far out of date it's pitiful. It is a tub/shower combo that doesn't have a fixture for running water in the tub, only a shower head. The main problem is access to the tub.The tub wall is better than 2 feet off the ground. Short people or infirm people will have a big problem getting into and out of the tub. The commode area is about 3 feet by 3 feet. Hardly any comfortable room in there. There was ample hot water and water pressure was great. The room a/c is a mini-split type that appeared fairly new. Worked very well cooling the room down after housekeeping would turn it up every day.
We were busy most days away from the hotel so didn't enter the pool. Looked clean however. Best thing going is the free breakfast included, but it's typical buffet food. Cooked earlier and soggy by the time it's served. There is an open self serve bar for bloody marys and mimosas and the free parking is good if you have a rent car.
To sum up, although we first stayed at this hotel in 1996, it's off our list in the future

Not a real beach

What sets this hotel apart from the others is the staff. They treat you like family. Indeed we consider many of them to be our extended family. We have enjoyed this resort many times over the years. Can’t wait to return next year.

We've stayed the numerous times. Very convenient to walk to the grocery store and to town. Also their beach area is very clean and private. Plenty of good snorkeling.

We love staying here. The separate areas with the beach on one side of the road and the swimming pool on the resort side is ideal, believe it or not. Love the breakfast by the ocean every morning and the snorkeling is so easy and was really great this year. We don’t do the all inclusive and enjoy the walk in to town in the evenings for great local food. So much live music in town to enjoy also.

I LOVE the hacienda style courtyard and pool. Very safe for little ones. Loved the addition of the bicycles-great for exercise. Eating breakfast while overlooking the ocean is a favorite. I like the tunnel under the busy street and the dive shop on the property is so convenient. One question: why did you remove the ladder into the water next to the pier?

Property in need of a serious upgrade and facilities. For the condition of the property, I should’ve paid half the price.
Breakfast was good.

This is our favorite place in Cozumel. The staff is wonderful and helpful, great beach/snorkeling area!

Food and drinks were not that good.

Room air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was good, very noisy though even when only half full. Balcony lights are on which keep the room lit until 10:05pm automatically is ridiculous with no control from room, curtains don’t stop the light. Shower head clogged and sprayed everywhere, shower didn’t drain well, deck door did not open without enough force to injure an arm….which happened, only opened 2-3 feet before completely jammed. No cups in the room, water dispensers in the hallway frequently empty, tiled floors down hallway extremely loud when any house keeping or guests roll luggage past.

Bathroom needed a thorough cleaning/update, smelled of mildew with stains in the tub. WiFi connection was terrible, my wife had food items taken from the room while we were out and friends also staying there had money taken from their room. Both incidents were reported to the front desk however we had no feedback or apologies.

Love the people. We come to stay here frequently and the workers are the best. Cornelio and Silvia are awesome at breakfast. Our room requests are rarely noted before our arrival but the front desk does a great job working things out. The maid took our pool towel. She admitted to taking it to be washed. Had a tough time getting credit. Why would she take it when there is a required deposit. Also our last stay in July, my nephews passport was taken from the room. It was taken from the night stand. It was never found and quite a hassle to get replaced. In the 15 times we have stayed, this is the first time we felt we had to be careful with items left out. ☹️

Nice place to stay, it was clean, comfortable, nice comfy bed, and the free breakfast buffet was good too. The staff was awesome! Very friendly and helpful. If i go back to Cozumel, I will stay there.

The staff as a whole was very unattentive and acted as is they were being annoyed when asked anything. The rooms were no where close to a 1 or 2 Star hotel much less the 4 star they state to have. Bed were very hard and clumpy. I awoke sore every morning and the sheets must be a 400 thread they are very rough. The room that i was in looked as though they just kept throwing paint on it without scraping or taping. Room has not not been remodeled or refurbished in a very long time. The pastel yellow and green curtains say it all plus the spotted and cracked mirror

I really like the facility, size of the pool and what I like was the option to ocean access. We had breakfast included and really worth it, a lot options of food we were really pleased with the breakfast. With the bicycle I recommend better maintenance or buy a new ones. For the rest we were happy with the staying in the hotel.

Great stay, few people. Huge pool. Found it hard to get food on-site except for breakfast. I do not recommend the pizza. Breakfast is extremely good. The coffee could be better. I did not try the 4-course restaurant option but that is available in lieu of room service Snack menu at the pool was sometimes available.

I like the location, very close of down town. great snorkeling spot in site. Food and beverages ok and fare price. Staff very friendly and supportive. especial mention for Luisa Tax during breakfast. I would recommend some upgrade in the entertainment events.

The rooms are not fancy but all I care about is a good bed and a good shower. They had both. The pool area is lovely. Although I took a snorkeling boat tour, the best snorkeling was right across the street in the shallow pool.

This property location is great and within a reasonable walking distance to the main downtown area (15 min). Although not oceanfront, there is a sandy beach about 5 minutes south and the snorkelling is amazing. The rooms are basic, but comfortable. Overall decent value for the cost.

Ok but not a four star hotel. Dated. Staff was excellent

Our 3rd visit to this property and will come back always. Quiet and a great location because it's within walking distance to town (19 minutes), safe, quiet, beach access, dive shop - not part of hotel, can snorkel or do a shore dive with amazing macro life, laidback atmosphere, etc. What I love most is the pricing is very reasonable and the people I meet are so friendly and very easy to chat with just about anyone. The only negative is, no wash cloth, no body lotion, A/C broke and leaked water into room but they fixed right away, hotel cards - get only (1) and if you lose it, $5 to replace. The hotel definitely is trying to save $ on the little items (which we can understand given the amount of business lost because of COVID), I will just be better equipped on my next visit for those little items that really do not matter in the end. Will be back...no doubt.

The hotel needs to be updated, the restaurant food was subpar, the hotel staff was pleasant. The water pressure in the room was low and inconsistent. Just to name a few.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Clean, beautiful, and safe.

I was first in a room that smelled like musty and mildewy and felt like dampness all over on the first floor. They quickly switched me out the next night and I'm so glad i did. My stay was much more pleasant after. Honestly shouldn't put anyone in that room and hopefully it was just an isolated incident.
Staff were very nice except for a couple wait staff that were working solo for a couple shifts. They're probably short staffed like anywhere else and tourists tend to think its not necessary to tip for all inclusives. So i don't blame them.
Food was pretty decent, the breakfast included in my non-all-inclusive rate was great with made to order juice and omelettes. I especially enjoyed the beach club across the main road by the shore that has a dive shop on site. We spent most of our time there. Snorkeling was also fantastic with easy access and cordoned swim area with buoys. Huge pool area for those who prefer pool time. Overall was a great stay with the exception again for the first room situation. Location wise, 15 minutes walk to town or a quick taxi in.
They can arrange covid tests on site for $25 which was super convenient. Overall enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again when in town.

What a fabulous place! Perfect location - away from the cruise ship dock and crowds but accessible to downtown and restaurants. Beautiful beach area with astounding snorkeling. Great food. Delightful staff.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The staf at the restaurant was so helpful and service minded. The food at the breakfast was very good.
We used the pool a lot, witch’s was also very good.
It was a bit too far from all the restaurants ind the “city” but a taxi only cost 100 pesos each way.

Older facilities. Staff nice. Food was really good. Bar was terribly boring. Not very fun

The largest pool in the area and staff service in pool area were very friendly. The front desk however had the attitude when checking in, kept asking the confirmation code in my end, and said they didn't connect with the reservation department. That is an error in your end and should not be asking paid in full customer. Also They should have informed me earlier that they will be charging extra person for a fee regardless the extra person is a child age 6. We ended up paying extra right in front.

It is kept as clean as possible, though it is old. Bathroom fixtures were drippy. One broke off and we had a geyser in the room, but it was promptly fixed.
