Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was ok. When we come to Ames we usually stay here and get a room with a sofa and mini kitchen, (no stove). We are able to take a day and have family visit when they are able. I also appreciate the fact that they allow pets.

Chair in the room was disgusting, there were ants in the bathroom, spots on the carpet were wet. The wasp that’s entirely a mirror was creepy wasn’t in any of the pictures I saw for the room type I booked. Front desk person announced my room number out loud and as a woman traveling alone that made me nervous. Didn’t love the lack of movable furniture for the reason stated above. Bed looked clean to me so that worked out. The people who work there do seem nice enough but I pretty rarely saw anyone at the desk outside of when I had checked in.

Waited awhile before we were helped on arrival but was friendly. The room was tiny and averagely clean. There was no hot water so couldn't shower nor bath. We heard every movement the guests upstairs made so didn't get much sleep. The room info file reads breakfast until 10am but everything was being packed away when we got there so managed to grab a yogurt and a coffee but before i could go back to get a boiled egg the refridgerator had already been locked. I always book hotels/motels by Wyndham because we've not had problems up until now. This was also the most expensive booking I've made for the worst overall stay so we were definitely not happy.

This is the most reasonably priced motel I've ever stayed at in the last 10 years. It is clean, light/windows make the lobby and shared areas attractive and it's all pretty clean.

Very nice stay. Facility in good repair. Breakfast is skimpy but expected level. No dumbbells in exercise room but treadmill worked fine. Would stay here again.

There is a strange Indian man that appear to be a friend of the owner. And every time me and my wife and daughter entered the hotel he would stair at my wife and daughters in a very creepy way. Also if you don't know there are mirrors on the entire wall behind the beds. Very creepy.

Bedding was extremely stained and hair/ dirt under bedding. Front desk assistant walked in on someone checking if a room was available for us to move to. Had to move 3 times before finding a room that was ok.

Property was not clean and we had no flushing toilet. No other accommodations were accommodated to resolve the non flushing toilet.

Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean, hot water, microwave and fridge. Free showtime. Usb jack were broken but the front desk gave me a charger. Wifi wasn’t great. Couldn’t stream anything that’s why 4 stars not 5. Room was small as expected. Price was good.

Overall it was a great stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. If I were to wish for something to make the stay a bit better it would have to be the fact that the toilet was less than 18 inches off the floor. I am shorter than the average person and I even found it difficult to sit on and stand back up from the toilet. In contrast the height of the bed was so high I had to jump and scramble up to get onto the bed. This was resolved by the kind front desk employee who provided me with a step.

Pictures on Expedia are terribly misleading. The facility inside and out is very rundown. Our door had a 1” gap at bottom to hall and peep hole was plugged with orange foam earplug.

I stayed in the single queen bed room It was smaller than I’m used to for hotel rooms, but setup so nicely! I especially loved the mirrored headboard and the window seat. The bed was much more comfortable than the place I stayed at the night before. I would stay here again - if only for the chance to eat at Flap N Jacks again!

This hotel was “ok”. The front desk worker was slow, but very friendly- but to be fair, it was busy when we checked in. Our room was pretty basic and the bedding seemed ok, but the throw pillows had unknown stains on them. The toilet in our bathroom would only work occasionally…. And other times the system would stick in the tank and not fill up. They did offer a basic continental breakfast, which was “ok.” With other hotel options available in the area, I do not believe we will stay here again.

Only thing i like here is beds, clean everything else is substandard. I booked this facility for ev charging, but this facility does not have onsite ev charging. All usb charging ports and tv are broken. Nothing is working. One more thing flaws in bathroom

Photos online were misleading - property looked updated but definitely was not. Dirty (hair on floor) bathroom. Didn’t have extra toothbrush when we forgot ours. Weight room had no weights and removed all TV’s. Would not stay there again.

The people were polite but the room smelled horrible. Like feet or animal. It was damp and I didn’t take my shoes off because the carpet was gross. My daughter would sleep under the covers as she thought they smelled and weren’t clean.

The luggage cart needs serious repairs. The wheels are in desperate need of repair. No coffee pot in the room. Room 201 bathroom fan sounds like an airplane taking off. Very satisfied with everything else.

It was ok. Nothing special. The place looked abandoned with bedding in most of the windows. The parking lot had cigarettes butts laying around. The only hot item for breakfast was a waffle.

I booked the room for the owner of our company and he said the room was great--absolutely no complaints. Front Desk Staff was Amazing and made sure that his room was clean and ready when he arrived. This property was dirty, the carpets were dirty like they hadn’t been vacuumed, dirt in the corners and along the baseboards. There were ants coming out of an outlet that wasn’t totally covering the whole. Would never stay there again.

The bedding was dirty. The window had dirt, mold, and dead bugs. There was feces on the tissue holder on the cabinet. I dod not stay at all. I turned in the room leys and left. I sent a message with details and pictures on facebook with no response received. I can send this to Wyndham and the state health department.
