Everything was perfect except the bathroom sliding door came off its hinges and almost fell on me. Beach was fantastic! Staff were very friendly. I wish some of the restaurants on the adult side were open to teenagers, especially the Japanese. Our kids were getting tired of the restaurants in the family section.

A wonderful property. Everything about it is 5-star, except the food which I give 5-stars for variety, but 4-stars for quality. But then, they are running 6-8 different restaurants, so it’s understandable. The staff are all wonderful - helpful and friendly. I can’t imagine why any family would take a cruise when this beautiful place is available with more and better entertainment options.

The front desk personal seemed rather indifferent to my questions (schedule of activities, nearby grocery stores, price I should expect to pay for fresh coconut water) and any information they gave seemed more geared towards getting rid of me than being helpful. The front desk personal (including assistant manager) failed to honor a $25 room credit at checkout that several other hotel employees told me should count for gift store purchases. The checkout staff claimed the credit can only be used for the spa but this contradicted what I was told by staff at the spa, gift shop, and front desk the previous day. It did not seem to matter to the checkout staff that I was told the credit was for any purchase made at the hotel. The Amount in question was not a whole lot ($25) but the indifference of the front desk staff and assistant manager to apply a $25 credit I was promised by several hotel employees I think shows that at the end of the day these guys don't really care a whole lot about customer service.

we were refused service from a restaurant as they didnt like what one of my family members was wearing. casual dress and fam meb wearing a collared shirt, jewlery and shorts. they did not like the length of the shorts. This was a subjective opinion and didnt feel we were treated fairly. Also the room we booked which was ocean front on the listing was not the room we were given. we had very partial ocean view. Hotel couldnt accomodate as all rooms booked. Service was sooo slow. Nice location it is sad that this happened to us

We just left after spending a week at Hilton La Romana and already are planning our return next year. We went with a group of kids and grandparents and the resort was perfect for everyone.
The food at the buffet was never boring or repetitive. We were excited each night to see the special surprises prepared. We did not feel the need to eat at the a la carte dining.
The pools were lovely. The beach spectacular. And the water park was a hit! Like. Private water slide park with no lines!
The only critique is that the gym is too small for the resort size. Especially crowded at peak hours.
The staff were amazing. Everyone. From the dining service, the kids club staff, the house keeping crew, the life guards. Everyone was wonderful. Yes it’s true they speak Spanish but it’s a foreign country. Deal with it! Or stay home.
Last - the nightly shows were absolutely beyond what we expected. Each night amazing and really blew away what we anticipated. The circus was especially great but the real star was Michael Jackson Show! Wow
We are coming back next year. No doubt. And many guests we met said they were return visitors.

Good options felt limited for vegetarians, but in such a tropical area we expected an abundance of fruits and vegetables. Some of the fruit was disappointing as it was not always sweet.

Comparing to other resorts nowadays, downside of this resort was that buffets did not have air conditioning. Otherwise nice average resort.

The property was nice and enjoyable. My only recommendation for improvement would be on the food and drinks. The quality of these were not what we expected. This can be improved, nevertheless we had a good time. Thanks

The water park was a great feature for the kids. Good place to go and unwind after an excursion. The room was spacious for a family of 4 and great view of the ocean. Staff was always kind and eager to assist. The food was good, but not great. It would have been nice if the hibachi restaurant allowed for kids. The Peruvian restaurant needs an improvement with their service. We found ourselves waiting for an extended period of time to order and get our food. On the other hand, the service at The Grill was top notch and the spice buffet was also attentive. Overall an amazing property. We would definitely consider this hotel an option again on the future.

This is the best hotel for family with kids (and adults only) since they are separate. A lot of activities all day and night for the hole family. The food and the drinks are really really good. We are coming ba k for sure. All the staff is super friendly, especially the ones that works in the kids club.

Staff was super friendly and welcoming. When I inspected the room upon arrival, the cleaning staff was able to make the necessary changes for our family on the spot (an old coffee maker was left with coffee). In addition she opened the day bed for my daughter and set up linings for her.
The restaurant staff were on point. The only downside was that the lunch at the buffet was OK, lack of options especially for kids. The night restaurants were much better. The coffee shop at the entrance was definitely a highlight. Kids enjoyed a clean water park. The beach was pretty clean as well. We will definitely consider staying in the future.

Amazing family resort. Excellent food specially Chinola Restaurant. The Chef Julio, the manager Jholdan and the server Manuel give us a wonderful experience, a night thar we will never forget.
The heat at night at The Grill area was unpleasant. They should put some fans in the area. The entertainment at lobby should be at least to 12 midnight. The entertainment activities at the beach should be better every day.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We mainly hung out at the water park, pool, beach or one of the many eating places and was not disappointed by any of it. There were a number of activities throughout the day for adults and kids to do.

Only comment is to check the bees around the pool area and water park, some of the collaborators were bite by the bees and honestly for luck we did not get bite but they are all around. Just to take this into consdiretation.

I don't even know where to begin with this place. I've never written a bad review for a hotel but this one deserves it. Everything was terrible , bad customer service, water park was closed and no one advised us before arriving family of over 20 ppl with a ton of kids flying all the way from California. When we got there they basically said sorry it's closed there's nothing we can do for you, you can get a different hotel if you want but you would have to check about a cancelation fee last minute. What ??? We had 6 rooms booked we expected so much more for an inconvenience that was caused by them. Half of everything there was not working (broken) specially kids stuff. The food was terrible , I've had bad all inclusive food but this was terrible. The pool area towards the afternoon was full of trash and dirty. We had paid the premium upgrade and it was nothing special. There was no good liquor. The vip lounge area is a little apartment with 2 couches. For 500 a night please avoid this place. Management was beyond terrible. I do want to thank Hilton corporate for trying to make things right once we got home and filed complaints. But I can assure we will never be back to Hilton La Romana.

Service is terrible, apart from a few waiters, none of yhem have the right training to do a decent job. Alcohol selection is very very scarse, if fine alcohol is important in a trip for you, look at other resorts because this one has maybe 5 or 6 good bottles of liquor and those are arpund 40 to 45$ in the states. Keepmin mind that we had the premium pavkage,if you get the regular package you are stuck with 10$ liquor bottles...also they consider Jim Bean and Jack Daniels to br premium liquors... having said that, the resort is nice, clean and the people are frendly... if you dont mind waiting an hour to get dinner while they have 7 free/empry tables, go right ahead. We won't be going there ever again.its nice but really overpriced for what you get.

This hotel was good overall and the beach was amazing with no seaweed at all. However, the entertainment options were poor. The theater was so uncomfortable and useless when it rained. I only liked the Magic show, the rest were not good and cheap presentation. The food was excellent at the restaurants we went and the staff too, but the buffet didn’t have the variety we have found at other all inclusive hotels in DR. We also noticed so many employees just wandering around, not doing much when the guests needed service/ assistance/ help with something, especially at the restaurants and buffet. Also, the bathroom or balcony in our room were never cleaned up in the 7 days we stayed there. Yes, they changed the towels and made the bed, but that’s was it. Lastly, we had so many issues in our room, such as the back door didn’t close, the front door didn’t open properly, or the security box didn’t work and the room was still assigned with all of those issues to us. We called the front desk multiple times and after a long time waiting, someone came and fixed them. I was surprised that things like that happened at a Hilton hotel. We enjoyed our time there especially because of the beautiful beach, but there are so many things that the hotel management has to look at and make better, so the guests want to come back. Thank you!

June is certainly the time to go to this location. We went in Feb also and there was not much going on in that timeframe. June is warm but not to Hot!! THE NOOR is the best for most all meals. Premimun lounge on the adult side is the first choice for us.. Bring cards becaiuse you will have some dead time.

Every single staff member made our stay perfect.
•Sara & Veronica in the Premium lounge helped make out stay go as smooth as possible.
•William, Noel, Osvaldo & Angel in The Grill Restaurant made us feel right at home.
•Wilkin & Victor at Noor Restaurant made sure anything we asked for wasn’t out of their reach.
•The Bell boys; Rodolfo, Soto & Garo were so pleasant. Joselyn was the supervisor, always made sure all our things were kept safe.

Amazing... Everything went so smooth I was impressed. Staff goes above and beyond to make guests happy. Truly beautiful place but without stuff's genuine treatment it would've been just another hotel. So far it was the best vaca ever!

- Overall food choices and quality was not good. I have been to quite a few of all inclusive Hotels in Punta Cana and Hilton La Romana is one of the worse. Food was did not taste good or fresh in buffet and the Al la carta restaurants. The menu was rather repetitive, just two choices of fish a couple of choices of beef and chicken.
- NO CEILING FANS ON THE LOBBY OR THE ROOMS.
The lobby was so hummed and hot that you could not sit and relax for a while due to not a single ceiling fan or AC. Also animation on the Lobby was mediocre…
THE AVERAGE ROOM PRICE ON HILTON LA ROMANA IS PRETTY HIGH MISS IN THIS THINGS.
The drinks specially soft drinks and also alcoholic drinks was watery or watered down…
