door was putty shut with a screw pushed into it for the lock of the door, room was still dirty and had sand in everything. pull out couch was disgusting did not use it. only thing that was really nice was the water pressure in the sink and showers

This was not our first time there typically it’s a great stay unfortunately other guest were fighting, screaming slamming doors. They woke my children up as well as my 73 year-old mother from midnight until 3:47 in the morning. I called the staff 7 times until they finally came, when I threatened to call the police and then the employee knocked on my door and said my name and told the people she’s the one that called which made us feel completely vulnerable and unsafe & My child has autism & she was covering her ears. crying, rocking back-and-forth for 2 1/2 hours because The staff was not making these people leave. It was ridiculous I beg them for a refund so we could leave so we could feel safe the man told me i would get a refund because we felt unsafe there. I felt like the gentleman knocking on my door And saying my name put me in my children and my mother lives in jeopardy The people left and the next morning I was told by a manager Tina that we would be given a full refund to call Expedia and they would receive an email. They would go ahead and issue before refund because they were very sorry. We didn’t go to bed till almost 5 in the morning and when we got back home we did that and they called them and told them oh well we’re willing to give her 20% back (we didn’t even sleep 20%) We had to drive over three hours home after sleeping 3 hours they put our lives in jeopardy. We felt so unsafe and they lied to us i’m praying they make it right

The hot tub was perfect!!! The restrooms needed a little more cleaning but other than that everything else was great, supper affordable & convenient.

Always clean rooms, staff is always friendly, love the location close to beach and food, love the chairs outside each room makes a great spot to have a drink and smoke a cigar and meet new people. I have stayed here 6 times at a 4 night minimum per stay and have had nothing but the best time every time.

I had hoped to use the hot tub while there, but as often happens, a family had settled into it indefinitely, so I settled for a hot bath.

James front counter was very friendly. Room looked a little old and slightly dirty. There were candy wrappers underneath the couch. The soap and packet wipes looked thrown in the corner; towels felt like sandpaper and there was hardly bath gel in the dispenser I dont particular care for the view of the large dumpster with trash piled high, when looking out the window and the guest above us walked loud in their room..lots of feet stomping.

Very nice hotel!. Wished the ice machine would have worked and the hot tub 20 degrees warmer for the chilly night we were there, but all and all very satisfied.

We had oir three dogs with us and they actual had two enclosed dog parks. Perfect for letting the dogs run and do their duties off leash. The place was clean and quiet. Good breakfast menu.

F Rating. Mold, 1 Roach in tub (decided not to shower) 1 beetle on bathroom floor (decided not to be barefoot). Dust and dead insects in window grooves. Very dirty windows. Room 12 is a horror show

Like staying with cockroaches and spiders with exactly no room cleaning even after you have to specifically ask for it??? This is the place for you!! Pictures of roaches and dirty bathtub with a spider and another bug to prove it. I had to kill 2 other live roaches when I would open the bathroom door. Will never stay here again and will warn everyone about it. Very undesirable and staff are super rude and unhelpful. Staff tried to argue but couldn’t argue the time stamps on the photos taken. They never stepped foot in our room to clean.

Room was nice, overall clean, found lost toy from previous guest behind curtains, against wall. Soap/lotion dispensers on wall in bathroom, not toddler friendly, no lock or way to secure. Bathroom light and loud exhaust fan on same switch, which did not work well with my noise sensitive toddler. A 1st floor suite was reserved, which the 1st floor was labeled as wheelchair “accessible”. The “grill-side” rooms are wheelchair accessible only by entering lobby, exiting back door, traveling around pool and then to room. Otherwise, to access the room from the parking lot, it was 5 step ups. It was a very loud atmosphere. On the second night, there was a very loud belligerent conversation that occurred two rooms with a fight that ensued later that went on until the early hours of the morning, with police and management involvement. This was our 1st stay at Plantation Suites, but have stayed many times in Port A at multiple places and have never experienced this before To say the least, it was a very interesting stay.

We stayed here for the weekend with our pup. I was pleasantly surprised that it was decent for the relatively low price we paid. Two minute drive to ocean, Nice fenced in dog run. Pool and hot tub are nice. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast with yogurt, pastries, home fries and make your own waffles. Beds were not the most comfortable and everything was a bit worn and it wasn’t the cleanest. But really convenient to everything and well worth it for the price.

Eh. It’s cheap you get what you pay for. Really annoyed that we asked for someone to clean the room yesterday morning due to our son getting sick. They didn’t do it. When we went back to ask if they could do it that evening they said that cleaners come in the morning( we already asked that morning…) then said that we could just bring them the sheets ourselves and make bed ourselves… service needs to improve.

The room size was good and they allow pets which was good for us. They have an interesting policy of not cleaning the rooms daily and just clean it at the end of the stay which we liked. The room was in a little bit of disrepair and a few things didn't work but nothing major, just well used. The breakfast was about average, a Texas waffle and powdered eggs that taste terrible. We tried the breakfast one morning and ended going next door to the Sonic to get the taste of the powdered eggs out of our mouth and didn't dare do breakfast again. I hate when hotels cheap out on eggs but I understand why they do. We did like the hotel and will return.

The floor wasn’t clean, we spilled some water on the floor in front of the fridge. We cleaned it up with a white towel and and when we finished drying the floor the towel was very dirty. Also we found some old food on the floor. The room had a whirlpool bath tub but the whirlpool part of the tube didn’t work plus around the where the water jets where there was some black looking stuff around the jets

There's a fenced area to let your dogs get a little freedom playing off-leash. Bring your own bags because I never saw the bag stand loaded with bags. The grounds are well kept. The pool was clean. Breakfast was standard. The interior decor is nice looking. The bed was uncomfortable. The a.c. didn't seem to be stable. The bathroom sink didn't have an actual drain pull, so the sink filled but didn't hold water. The water pressure on the toilet was too low. Plantation Suites has been our first choice for several years when we visit Port Aransas and will continue to be our choice for the foreseeable future. We were in number 20 this time. I personally prefer the other side of the building.

It being Labor Day weekend I knew prices would be a little higher (which was not a problem) but paying so much for a room that was just not comfortable from the yellow torn shower curtain, mold on the vent, beds very uncomfortable and not to mention when asking the cleaning lady for towels she had us go all the way up to the front to get some when she had them in her cart! Wi-Fi was no good nor was service. The restrooms definitely need to be upgraded and how was there NO HAND SOAP???!!! . On a good note the pool was the best part. My family and I will NOT stay here again.
