Very clean and spacious rooms, welcoming staff!

Amazing place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Property is minutes away from the beach and restaurants and shopping. Apartment had refrigerator, stove, sink, balcony. There's a nice pool to relax and breakfast is available with an incredible view of the ocean.

No aircon so sometimes the rooms can get very stuffy when its hot. They do have a fan.

It was smaller than expected, the kettle, and oven didn't work properly. We were expecting a lounge or a couch but the TV is in the kitchen and the glare of the sun made it difficult to even catch up on news. It was very noisy, and the ceiling fan had only 1 setting - very fast or off. I would recommend it is serviced every 2nd day, not every fourth day.

The stay and environment was welcoming. I wish they can find a way to install the TV as it was difficult to use it due to its position. Probably they must consider moving it into bedroom

It was very awsome.The check in and out was so great with arrival and when we left that me and fiance wanted to spend more time there. Cleanliness was top priority and apartment was like home. We plan again our next weekend away to this guesthouse as service and quality was excellent

We had requested a hotel-type room not on the ground floor. However, we were given a mini-apartment type room and told it was an 'upgrade'. I wish we had been given our actual requested room type.
Safety and Windows:
The first apartment room we were given was on the ground floor and one of the windows wouldn't properly shut - not particularly safe. Instead of offering us another available room, we were told the window would be fixed whilst we were out... meaning the room had to be left open and anyone would have access to our room and our items whilst we were out - not particularly safe.
We asked to be provided with another room instead and were reluctantly moved. When we got into our new apartment room, one of the windows in there also did not lock properly - not particularly safe.
Water:
We wanted to have a quick shower before heading out on a tour, but there was no running water in our room. We tried calling the reception to sort out the problem, but our room-phone wouldn't work and wouldn't connect us to the reception. So we had to go to reception and ask about the water. It was only then that we were told there was a burst in one of the nearby water mains so we would be without for a while whilst it was being fixed.
Electricity:
There was a power-cut one night. We went to the reception only to be told that the area was load-shedding and we would be without for 2 hours. No one had told us this - a heads up would have been nice.
I expected better for the price.

Stayed here each visit to Camps Bay & know most of the rooms. Booked single superior room based on photos on app knowing around pool & with outside seating area.
When I arrived was told that was being put in a studio in block on camps bay drive which bear not relation to photos
Jacques was really helpful & changed me to a pool side studio but not the one Of the rooms I specifically thought I’d get based on app photos

Accommodation was clean and comfortable and in a fantastic location of Camps Bay in Cape Town, South Africa. Camps Bay Village had a lovely pool and secure parking for my rental car. Staff were very friendly & helpful.

We love the complex and location been going there for years. But this time around we were disappointed with the cleanliness and service. We can also make a bed and wash dishes its the rest that need attention. Our stay fell over a weekend and public holiday, with no service on these days which is fine but then we should not pay the same rate. You can not use the Bay Hotel for marketing but do not supply ice, not proper guide to use safe, tv not working properly even though we reported it. Just overall disappointing

The best thing about this property is its location being minutes from the bars and restauraunts on Camps Bay. The apartments are basic but everything was supplied to enjoy our stay. The only downside is that the access to the Camps Bay Hotel is restricted to the left hand side of the hotel. We tried to visit on three occasions but there weren't sufficient sun beds and they were very cramped together. The pool is small. The other pool on the other side was virtually deserted which seemed a shame as we weren't allow we'd over there. That saying its a real bonus of The Camps Bay village to allow access. Definately our chosen place to stay. We have stayed twice in the apartments and once in the stone cottages and will def stay there on our next visit. Excellent value for money.

The flat we had was lovely, had everything we needed and looked out onto the beach. The location within the complex was not good - we were not aware that you had to book parking as on this website it advertised free parking, Therefore we had not organised anything meaning we had to try and find a space on the road in a very busy area. And our flat was quite a walk from reception. The staff at check in were less than helpful, even running out of the apartment as soon as he handed us the keys, before we had the chance to ask anything because he knew we were not happy.
Other than that it is in the centre of the town with plenty of restaurants close by.

The room we stayed in had no visual privacy from any of the windows so when in the room our curtains remained drawn closed.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed on across 5 continents. Despite the gate security one did not feel safe. The bathroom was from the 1950s, the area between the street and the apartment felt like a war zone. When my safari dates changed 8 months out they wouldn't refund me. Quite frankly, I am shocked expedia would have this on their site.

Location is fantastic and very close to the beach and all the shops and restaurants. The rooms and hotel was pretty basic, more of a motel than a hotel, with cooking facilities in the room and no restaurant for food/drinks. Clean and staff were nice. As a couple traveling together, I would say this is a good family place rather than for a couple. Overall average, definitely paying for location.

Excellent, safe hotel with wonderful staff. Very helpful. Short walk away from the beach, great dinning areas, and other tourist attractions. Only downside is there is no Internet access in hotel rooms; it is only available in the hotel office.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a three roomed apartment facing West to the sea. It contained most of what we needed with good and unobtrusive service from friendly staff. It has realistic rather than luxurious fittings which suited us fine and represented good value for money for the time of year we were there..

Comfortable enough but expensive for what was offered. Most confusing on Expedia as we were never really sure what we had booked. Initially it said 2 Bed Apartment and then after booking said room only. I had to phone the resort to clarify and fortunately we had booked an apartment but now we were told it had no balcony, which was misleading from the Expedia photos. Not sure who is at fault here Expedia or the Resort.
Overall it was comfortable enough in a good location and the staff were bright and cheerful

Was given a 'non smoking' room that had been heavily smoked in. There were no rooms available to be moved to. A smoke machine was offered, but this took them 3 hours and 3 more phone calls to arrange. The room was still smokey at the end of my 3 night stay.
To top this off there was very loud building work going on the floor below between 9am and 5pm everyday including Saturday. This meant the room (kitchen, balcony, lounge area) was not usuable during these times. The hotel offered no acknowledgement or apology for this on check-in and as I already knew there were no rooms available, we could not be moved.

We opted for the apartments which are really apartments, complete with full furnishings, kitchens, dishwashers and washer/dryer units. For longer term stays this is the ideal location and set up, but even those staying for shorter visits will appreciate the spacious apartments. Location and price were great - very friendly staff.

I would recommend Camps Bay resort as a great place to stay. We stayed in one of the 2 bed apartments which was fantastic. Our late flight home meant we needed to use a room to change in - this wasn't a problem and it gave us an excuse to nose in one of the studio rooms. Again, this was well kept and I would have no hesitation in recommending those also. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the area around the pool is quite small so during a busy time you would struggle to get a sunbed. Not a huge problem as the beach is so close and we were also able to use the ameneties at the Bay Hotel. All in all, Camps Bay was fabulous, the accomodation was great and I can't wait to go back
