The location was dark and unsafe
The rooms were very dirty
The door did not close
No staff around for any assistance

The place has potential, but it needs a complete renovation.

bedding sheets and towels were dirty, had some questionable stains!
bugs in the kitchen area, rooms and facility not updated at all.

It's not the resort's fault that we had bad weather, but everything is.
Unfriendly receptionist to start with.
Then the room didn't even had a chair and we were told that's normal - what hotel room doesn't have a chair???
Next problem was there were not enough outlets in the room.
And then the beds, unless you like super hard ones you are in for an uncomfortable night.

Excellent. A little pricey. No meals included, nice amenities, clean. In the beautful mountains, all the building all far & seperated. You can drive.

Room needed TLC. Paint peeling, Doors banged up / scratched. Sinks in kitchen and bathroom did not drain.
Kitchen utensils and pans need replaced.
Refrigerator was rusted and did not cool properly
Amenities were close for the year - pool empty.
In summary, not a pleasant stay; therefore, way too expensive (NO VALUE) for what they offer.

This hotel is outrageously overpriced for what it is. The property has received no significant maintenance in years. It is not really a hotel but rather a club and it should be advertised as such. People there were not really vacationing but rather they own some kind of share and were there for the weekend. It is more like an apartment building with access to a pool to which by the way you have to drive to as there is no way to get there from the apartment but using the street. The room itself was average at best, maybe 2.5 star quality but with a 4.5 star pricing. Doors were old and dingy, painting is coming off. Bathrooms need maintenance, you would not want to step in without flip-flops. Just horrible for the price, we paid $650 for two nights in a 2-bedroom suite. The facilities, service, etc is worth half that at best. Find somewhere else to stay.

None of the water park was open. We were told only open on weekends. Very disappointed child.

We rented the 2 bedroom Master Suite on the 4th floor which had an amazing view. Fantastic place for family with kids. Large pool and cool water park.

I wish I had the money to invest in this property because it has GREAT potential! The property is an excellent location however, the road to it can be improved, the staff needs to be trained. In short, Bahia, can benefit from a Hospitality and Hotel Management company - Roaches to Management. It is a shame that you are so close to Monterrey and this resort lacks so much.

The staff at Bahia Escondido was pleasant and well coordinate with my reservation. The site has many attractions like the indoor pool stays open until 11 pm . The hot bath pool is unique. They have a restaurant for all your meals, the prices are very accessible, they have gym, 3 court tennis, boat ride to the presa de la Boca lake, near by is the cola de Caballo Cascade where you find horse back riding and may other attractions of the region. Our master unit was cleaned every day with trash talking out and clean towels. I strongly recommend this paradise.

Exterior of the building looked fine and the view was good. There were no elevators for the 5-stories, though, which was inconvenient with heavy luggage and no assistance available. Room looked nice and clean at first, then we found someone else’s false eyelashes in the sink. Used cups & glasses were never replaced, unless we called to get some, even though clearly they were in plain view. Staff had left new coffee packet but never cleaned up coffee area. Spacious modern room but no chairs. No hand or wash towels were provided although one was brought on request.
Won’t go back.

On arrival our room was dirty. After one nights stay and three attempts we got a clean room and upgrade. There is waterslides the kids enjoyed, however they open late in the day. The wave pool and indoor pool were clean and not packed with people. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Overall the stay was good, however not the greatest. We had family that wanted to visit us at the hotel and the people at the front gate told them that they had 30 mins. to do so, otherwise they would charge them a full day....Had a hard time getting them to bring us clean coffee cups on a daily basis and when we called and requested some items from the front desk, it took them a full hr. to bring them to us, had to call them several times. Location was amazing though and the recreational pool area great, the view was amazing.

Service at checkin was appalling had to wait for an hour with 3 young children to get room key with 20 other families.
Room provided initially was old and dirty, after complaining got room in slightly newer area but electronic key faulty do had to return to reception again.
Manager in office helpful but checkin staff inept!
Pool facilities very good with lots of adventurous water play areas
Restaurant appualing, food vile, worst food I have been served in Mexico and overpriced!
Take your own food and drink and enjoy in room and use free barbecue area provided.
Hotel and pool area need makeover and upgraded for price requested but water facilities provided best in Monterrey at this time!

The hotel staff was not friendly. When we got to our room there was a dead roach on our sink. It was decaying and ants were all ready forming to the roach. Then the pull out coach had so many stains, when we removed the another roach was there as well, dead and decaying. But, that didn't stop when we took out the sheets all dirty and another roach was folded into the sheets. The towels were no dirty, you can tell they have not cleaned the room in a while. Spoke to the front desk said she will send someone up wait for 1 hour called again front desk never answer. We just left the hotel, we didn't even stayed the night. Awful hotel experiences!!!

the location is beautiful and they have a great water park for the kids, but the rooms need to be updated with better beds and maintained better. The rooms need to be cleaned.

We went for family fun, and we got so much fun, lots of kids areas, lots of water and slides for them, so mission accomplished.

I did not like the fact that you could bring your own cooler with drinks close to the pool area, you have to leave it in your car, and everytime you had to go back. No food allow either. You have to buy from the bar at the pool area.

I stayed Sat-Sun. As has been said before the rooms are a long way from the restaurant and pool area. I'm sure this could be improved with a little thought. As the crow flies it wasn't far.
On Saturday night I didn't want to take the car out again so I had been told by the waiter in the afternoon there would be room service. So I called room service at 8pm and got the answer, " I have no room service tonight because I have only one waiter." So I stayed in my room and drank tea and ate potato chips. The tea I brought with me fortunately. And don't forget they charge double the price of any hotel in Monterrey. I could have got superb service elsewhere.
I tried the restaurant on Sat afternoon but the food was mediocre. Probably a better idea to drive into Santiago if you can manage to find your way out of here.
The room was a fairly good size but the kitchenette had rather dirty utensils and a coffee machine that was half broken. And only one coffee was provided. No tea. The room I found clean and the bathroom in my room was about the best bit.
They should repaint the walls and change the a/c units. These were very old and bulky and somewhat noisy. I had to climb over mine every time I wanted to sit on the balcony.
The outdoor swimming pool was lovely. The situation of the hotel is beautiful. Indoor pool was not very clean with hairs floating in the water.
The wave pool was inexplicably closed every time I went to it.
I didn't bother having breakfast on Sunday.

I really loved my stay at Bahia Escondida. My grandmother lives nearby but was not going to have any space available for us to stay in at her home. We decided to get some rooms at the hotel instead. The floor plans are spectacular and the room and furniture look very classy/contemporary. The TV has both English and Spanish channels. The balcony has a great view of the resort.
I really liked the uniqueness of the finishing touches (even the toilet paper had some added to it! )
Overall, I recommend this hotel as the price is very reasonable and our stay was very relaxing.
