From the time we arrived till we left it was great! The staff was very friendly and courteous! The entire inside was clean and had been updated. The breakfast was more than adequate. Our room was more than spacious for me and my son. It was quiet and we felt very safe. I’ve stayed in many different places in Winter Park, (3 just this winter) and this room was as good as any luxury 2br 2bth condo we’ve had! In addition we walked to dinner and drinks each night. Cooper Creek is across the street, the Ditch on 40 is 600’ away, and everything else in town is walking distance if you don’t want to drive. The heavy snow just made it fun for us! If you don’t want to walk the area free bus system will pick you up just a 150’ from the front. The only 4 star I gave is the mattress and pillows were not the best. (Just my opinion) Thanks to the staff for making our stay great!

Great trip. The owner Joe is hands on, always visible, always cleaning. Breakfast worked for what we needed. I’ve been there before and will def go back.

We recently stayed at Valley Hi Motel for two nights in September during the off season. The motel is located right on the main street in town and is very convenient to shops, restaurants and businesses. The room was surprisingly large and very clean. We only had two issues during our stay, one of which was cleared up immediately after talking to the manager at the front desk. Our main issue was very uncomfortable beds. The first night my husband and I slept in one of the two queen beds in the room and had an absolutely terrible night due to the extremely hard mattress. The mattress was so hard my hips were hurting when I woke up in the morning. (I am a side sleeper). The mattress was like sleeping on a hard board. The second night we both decided we had to try the other bed to see if it was better. Well, not very much! We both agreed it was the worst sleep we'd had in a motel ever. The motel is old, but appears to be maintained well except for the mattress issue. Breakfast included donuts, croissants, yogurt and coffee, placed on a counter out in the hallway, rather skimpy. We opted to go out for breakfast instead. Overall, the motel was very average, good for someone looking for a very inexpensive place to stay and no frills.

Very nice small hotel. Dog friendly and welcoming. Big rooms, clean and remodeled recently! Great location, free parking no nonsense. Hot tub is amazing, super deep and hot! 100% would recommend this place!

The room was large and clean. The manager was very nice and provided great information on local attractions, which really helped us plan. Continental breakfast was simple pastries, cereal and yogurt. Will stay here again!

It’s an old property. It was ok for a 2 day stay. The rooms on the 2nd floor are very big. The breakfast is ok- OJ, cereal, milk, coffee, danish/muffins. There is no breakfast room. So you just take it to your room.

Recently renovated room and bathroom; quite large; very clean. Stayed in summer but am amazed at the space for skis and snowboards in the winter, not to mention all the boots and other gear.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck, even though it was a little bit hard to get in and out of at our age. There was great dining and shopping right across the street and the staff were really friendly.

Our room was huge! Great location and value. Clean facility. Breakfast was basic, outside of the building made me skeptical but inside was beautiful. Would definitely stay there again. Bonus was ski lockers inside the building and the room was very large to accommodate ski equipment for multiple people.
