Relatively closed to Firastefani rather than Fira but walkable around 15 min. Area of Santorini is hilly and get ready to hike in surrounding neighborhoods. I love the complex or compound of Esri Village that feels homey and clean with swimming pool in the middle. Closed to public parking spot that I rent a car to enjoy the island.

This is one of the best places to stay in Santorini. Very short walk to the famous Caldera Trail, with all of its Firostefani restaurants (and shopping if you like), and the trail's access to the most impressive caldera views, Fira one way and Imerovigli and Oia the other. But very private. Perfectly clean. Cozy and adorable with its tiled pool and flower courtyard, sunbeds, tables, views of the Aegean. Kitchenette clean and perfectly supplied with market just up the alley (most of Firostefani as well as many other towns are car-free!). The owner/onsite manager Illias is delightfully, genuinely kind and interested in his guests. He's the son of the original owners. A hotel in operation with the same name and owners for over 25 years is a good recommendation in itself. Illias communicates via Whatsapp ahead of time, answers all questions, helps you figure out the area and what restaurants/activities suit your interests. He really makes you feel that no question at all is a bother. And Sara at the check-in desk is just as delightful, warm, and accommodating when you arrive (and anytime while you're there).
One nice bonus feature is the sound like a small waterfall in the courtyard, thanks to the pool's water filtering system which is like an infinity pool.
I truly didn't want to leave for the next part of my trip!
