Served us perfectly well for an overnight stay on our homeward bound leg from the South of France to UK.

It was lovely experience for our family. The hotel was quiet, clean and locked within very short walk to the beautiful town centre. The breakfast was great and beds comfortable. Highly recommended.

My fourth overnight stop there. Excellent value, great location two minutes walk from the Old Town. The upgraded 'superior' rooms are well worth the modest extra charge. A well provided for breakfast. Parking is OK on street but is charged for, and secure parking at the rear of the hotel is better value and well worth booking in advance at the 7 euros overnight charge.

We had a very warm welcome. You can park immediately outside the hotel. Plus the rooms are air conditioned

I find that Brit Hotels are a bit hit and miss. This one suited my needs but my needs were only to have somewhere to sleep. The surrounding area is quite nice.

I often wondered what the worst hotel in the world would look and feel like. Needless to say, my dreadful stay with this hotel led me to realise I was experiencing it for real. No parking for customer’s with disabilities. There are but they’re taken up by none disabled customers. Drab looking rooms with poor air conditioning unit. The main complaint was the shower which flooded the bathroom and crept into our bed room. Poor drainage and dodgy sealant meant only my wife was able to shower. If I could award this hotel 0/10, that’s what it would get. The reviews for this place must be manipulated, for 100 Euros a night you could book a Novotel or Jury’s Inn for near that price and your experience with be better 10 fold. A disgrace really.

The location of the hotel for Troyes medieval village is perfect. The hotel is easy to find, parking is payable near by. I booked this for the pool table in the photos, but couldnt find it, the receptionists english was as bad as my french so didnt bother to ask about it. The room was supposed to by superior, it had a balcony if that qualifies?

Hotel conveniently located near medieval old town, just a 5 minute walk away. Troyes a good location for a stop over while driving on the nearby motorway. Hotel clean and tidy. Helpful staff.

Staff were friendly. The breakfast was disgusting and wish we had gone somewhere else for that. We ordered scrambled eggs which were obviously processed eggs gone cold and microwaved. Absolutely terrible! The bathroom was quite dirty. The bed was comfortable. I’d rather pay 20 Euros extra and take my chances at another hotel to be honest.

We spend one night at the Brit Hotel and were overall happy with our stay. Check-In went pretty smooth and the receptionist was courteous Room: The room has a normal size, would expect it to be a bit bigger. Anyhow it is nice, the decoration is nice. There is a boiler in the room, with coffee and tea which was also nice. Bathroom: Ours was spacious and had a nice bathtub. We didnt test the breakfast, therefore no comment. The hotel is central, closed to the train station, but the room was pretty quiet.

This is an old dated hotel that has seen better days. Communal areas need cleaning and room was dark and dingy. Bathroom needed replacing old and rusty fittings. Bedding was clean and staff OK but would not recommend to anyone.

We've been staying at this hotel twice a year for several years en route to and from our skiing holiday in the French Alps. It is centrally located, simple but clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is outstanding ensuring an extremely pleasant evening's dining without the hassle of braving the weather to look for somewhere to eat. Breakfast is a self-service buffet with a wide variety of choices. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a simple but clean hotel, well-located near the old city and the train station. Its nothing fancy, but its an affordable option in the center of town, and I stay here quite frequently.

Disappointed that we were unable to use the restaurant but good reason for it not being available.

Positive: - the location - the proximity of parking (free at night) - the overall (historic) atmosphere in the hotel - the bed & linnen - the coffee making facilities in the room - airco (that works) - mini fridge (that didn't work) Negative points: - friendliness of the people at reception could be better - a guy from housecleaning came stumbling (without knocking) in our room at 9.30 am (unacceptable) - the fridge didn't work - there was a hair pin at the floor next to the bed when we arrived

Troyes is a beautiful city and well worth a visit. This hotel was in an ideal location. Great breakfast with lots of variety.

Located in front of the station there’s only a short walk into town. The hotel itself, although having had a bit of a makeover feels a bit tired and dated. The room I stayed in was just about a double, I’d asked to be moved from a previous room because it smelt heavily of cigarette smoke, which they were happy to do. Parking is not on site or secure, the public pay car park about 200m is used.

The hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms big enough, clean and well equipped, but a bit aged. Good beds, large bathroom. Breakfast was good, reasonably priced and even complimentary for our 14 year old daughter. Great! The hotel is situated at the rim of the medieval inner city and is therefore a great base for exploring this wonderful place full of half-timbered houses and gothic churches and cathedrals. Recommended!

Only a 2 minute walk to the town centre which is very convenient- the town of Foyes is delightful and has a very safe, relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in a room for 4 which worked perfectly as a stop over en route to the Alps. Good value at €88 for room only basis. No parking at the hotel but plenty available nearby.

Made mistake of approaching fom the station. Two closed hotels made area look run down and depressed. Filled with trepidation entered Le Royal and immediately our fears were set to rest. Lovely hotel, lovely staff, good restaurant.

Very pleasant hotel, calm and comfortable, well situated, your received with amability.The room is fine with a comfortable bedthere is a great choice for breakfast, and the restaurant is very good (quick service, excellent food)

Have stayed at this hotel 4 times now - What it lacks in terms of room comfort ( And it does - rooms are small -windows don't keep out all the traffic noise) it makes up for with a great restaurant and a location that couldn't be better with parking opposite. Unfortunately in the 4 years I have been visiting, they haven't improved anything, still no Wi-Fi, mediocre breakfast and uninspired decor.
