Nice and clean

The staff was very helpful & friendly. The hotel was clean, and so was our room. The restaurant was wonderful! I would stay again.

The hotel is great. I was just disappointed that allowed two very drunk and hostile characters into the bar who then harassed me and other customers.

What a wonderful change from the normal chain hotels! The room, which was actually rooms, felt like a glamorous elegant suite. Spacious, impeccable. We went out of our way to stay here and it was definitely worth it.

I had an amazing night in a beautiful room! During a freeze of my water pipes I just needed a shower and got so much more! Room service food was amazing and the staff was so awesome. And they actually had a real handicap shower. which is very hard to find and traveling. I will definitely refer all my friends that come to visit and I’m not gonna say anything about I’ll be back because I don’t want my pipes to freeze again it has not been fun. Except for my stay there!

Very fancy 1930s decor! The staff was incredible in the bar, restaurant and at the front desk. I would highly recommend Hotel Settles!

Its a great place for people who love old restored buildings with History attached. Super nice to spend a day or two at.

If you are driving between Dallas and El Paso, definitely stay at the Settles. Beautifully restore high end hotel. Staff is very helpful, friendly, courteous. Restaurant is excellent. Rooms are huge and superbly outfitted. And the price is a little more than Holiday Inn Express.

The thermostat was difficult to operate and the sheets did not fit our bed! Overall was good

What a gem! I’m from San Diego and have stayed in beautiful hotels all over the southwest. This hotel was gorgeous! Our room was so nice! I can’t believe how inexpensive it was.

Beautiful, scenic hotel. The surrounding area at night isn’t that great, just feels deserted. Our room was gorgeous but tried to take a bath and the stopper wouldn’t work and then the toilet wouldn’t flush. Called down to the front desk and Brittany immediately got us into another room. I had planned to take my husband out to a restaurant for his birthday but it was closed for some reason so we ate at the hotel restaurant and we had such a great meal and the staff was so kind. Really, really enjoyed our time here and will make the trip back!

This is a wonderfully restored 1930 hotel. They kept the room footprints the same and the fixtures and furniture. But it is very comfortable and clean. It’s affordable luxury!

Hotel Settles always provides clean, safe, professional service overall. As a former worker I still have zero complaints with this hotel and all facilities!

I truly iconic picturesque hotel. The interior is beautiful and the staff is exceptional. The hotel bar and restaurant is amazing. It is definitely a gem in Big Spring.

We live in Big Spring but stayed here for our 18 year wedding anniversary. We’ve wanted to stay at the Settles since the grand opening. It was worth the wait. The front desk staff was exceptionally courteous & accommodating. Room was great, the jet bathtub and walk in shower was awesome!! We were very pleased choosing to celebrate our anniversary at Settles & hope to stay again.

I read about the Hotel Settles in D Magazine and I had to make it part of my trip to Terlingua to my sons wedding. It was so wonderful and a fabulous way to start our wedding week!! Five stars for sure.

Hotel was nice enough. Got a post-checkout call informing me of a $10 incidentals charge for a mystery stain on a Wal-Mart quality bathroom towel they said the maid couldn’t get out. The maids inspect individual room towels? Guess that counts as “damages” these days. Maybe they can use the money to fill the potholes in the parking lot.

A hotel built by early oil money that soon gave way to the depression. Today, it is amagnificant old school hotel with a marvelous staff and a great 5***** restaurant.

Unbelievable. If you find yourself in West Texas, do yourself a giant favor and stay at the Settles. There is simply no comparison. The architecture, the ambiance and the service are second to none. And I mean world-wide. I will most certainly be back, and for a longer stay. And I can't wait!

We really liked almost everything about this hotel. Friendly staff, easy check in, clean and comfy rooms, good food in the restaurant, cool "old hotel" vibe, etc. We talked about coming back any time we were in the area during dinner. When we ate at the restaurant I just signed the check to charge the cost to our room - with tip, about $100. Then, after we had fallen asleep, came a loud knock at the door. I looked out the peephole and recognized the manager from the restaurant. She was there with some ridiculous story about a computer malfunction and said I had to either give her my credit card so she could take it downstairs and run it right then or I could get dressed and come down right away and they could run it. She refused to wait until morning and refused to just use the card I had given to the front desk to cover incidentals. She was belligerent about my taking care of it right then and tried to give me a story about how it was Amazon's fault - not hers. I don't know who broke the computer but I know it wasn't me. And I know she was the one who chose to wake me up and bug me about it. The meal was good. I would have gladly paid for it as I checked out the next morning. I got dressed, went down and paid them their $100 and then tried to get some sleep. I did get the manager's cell number and texted him. He apologized but made no offer to make things right. He also said he would "follow up" but it has been a week now and I have not heard a peep from him.

Room amenities were good. Robes, excellent shower and accessories for the bathroom. Coffee machine malfunction was stressful but love the machine idea but lack of operating instructions ruined it all. The Bartenders and bar staff ignored customers who were not flirting with them. We did not. And noted that they consistently reused glassware, refilled drinks rather than making new. TABC would have a field day, from my experience. Facility was amazing. The price gouge for a busy weekend was insane. 159-179 regular rate to 450.00 per night. I was staying for the BSHS reunion. I’m older and may have high expectations for the industry, but I think the staff should have done better.
