The hotel restaurant had the most amazing food. They have an incredible chef. We stayed there both before and after a food and wine tour of Provence. Our trip was filled with amazing food. The Marseille Holiday Inn and Express had food that rivaled the bes! We also thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the staff and management. They were kind and helpful with the language.

The staff were nice and friendly. A bit of a walk to the city center.

The shuttle service to and from the airport was very helpful and convenient. I had to make an extra round trip due to a problem with my flight and the shuttle was invaluable.

Excellent, clean hotel ideal for an overnight stay prior/after flight from Marseille airport. 20 min walk from airport (free shuttle available up to 11pm, no. 13 bus also available) & 10 min walk from Vitrolles Aéroport Marseille train station. Simple Breakfast included in the rate. Would use again.

It is an airport hotel so shuttle service was great and free.

Room was small, but manageable for one night. We ate dinner at the sister property across the street. My meal was fine, but my friend who got the Vegan Poke Bowl got food poisoning from it that night. We tried to advise the woman at checkout the next day, but her English was poor and she didn’t understand.

Overall this stay far exceeded our expectations. We were extremely weary after traveling for 17 hours. Excellent shuttle service, a warm greeting from reception, a clean quiet room, and a great breakfast offering. We have two more stays over the next month at this location as we transit through Marseille. So pleased we chose the HIE Marseille Airport.

Great for a night before a flight. Helpful staff and having a free shuttle bus from the station and to the airport was a bonus! Just call to book a slot though.

There was no shuttle transport from the airport to the hotel after 11pm. Called hotel and they said I needed to get a taxi. None of the taxis wanted to take the fare because it was a short distance (1.6km). We were advised by hotel not to walk because it was too dangerous to walk on motorway. We had no other choice. No taxis available and Uber was not providing that service either. Hotel was unable to provide an alternative. Took the risk of walking with all the luggage across fields and busy motorways to get to hotel with many dodgy characters pulling up asking where we were going.

Great place!

I arrived early to the property and was greeted by extremely nice people who work there. They gave me an early check in without even saying anything and I appreciated that so much. They were so nice to talk to. There is a lovely lady who was there. My room was really comfortable. The wifi worked well, bed was huge and so perfect. About 300-400m away there is a small grocery store, a shop for fruits and legumes, a tabac. That was super useful too. I bought some fruit and the hotel provided me with cutlery so I could eat in the room. The hotel offers a really convenient shuttle to and from the airport starting very early and ending late. My flight arrives late the next night from London and the hotel staff actually picked me up and they were not even grumpy! However- the dining options might be limited around the hotel. I am not sure as I didn’t really eat out. I was very comfortable and happy in this quiet hotel so close to the airport. It was super convenient and I had a lovely stay.

The girl I checked in with was less than helpful. She told me that the navette to the airport at 5am was already full. I found out in the morning that it wasn’t full they just didn’t go. Even though I needed the shuttle I wasn’t offered help. The man at the front desk this morning was very helpful. He tried to get me a taxi. Offered help with my bags and I was able to get a little breakfast before I left.

When i arrived to check in, the room was not ready. Check in was at 3pm. Were told someone would call us when room would be ready but never received a call. When we arrived later in evening, the employee at front desk had left. Then 1 of the 2 rooms I reserved had a broken shower.. this is not worth the money I paid

Three star - you get what you pay for. Great location, good staff, clean but ordinary room. My wife had bites on her legs -fleas? A small fridge in the room would be very useful. Bar and cafe seemed to be crowded.

The dining across the street at the Holiday Inn is excellent. It's a hidden gem. Great wines at great price. Talented chef. The shuttle service from the airport is the worst I have experienced. On the way in from the US we called twice and waited 50 minutes. No one showed. We taxied. Very light traffic. To the management's credit, they compensated us for the taxi ride. After returning our rental car, immediately adjacent the airport, we again waited almost one hour after being told "it will be a few minutes". When I called after 25 minutes, the Holiday Inn staff person hung up on me when I again asked how long we had to wait. Frustrating way to start and end a vacation. At LAX, traffic can be daunting and the hotel is 12 minutes away, when we called for our shuttle, it was there before we could walk to the pick up station! Miriam and Katherine at the front desk at Holiday Inn Express were great!

A short drive from Marseille airport, a quiet and well equipped hotel. Good breakfast.

Exactly what we were looking for in a hotel close to the airport for one night. Comfiest bed and luxurious bedding to get a good nights sleep before a long day of travel. Lovely little restaurant a block and a half away and very walkable.

This is a very adequate hotel if you need to stay near the airport. The bathroom is very cramped. Breakfast is decent. The free shuttle to the airport is convenient if you don't have to leave at 4:00 a.m. (then you have to take a taxi, which costs 25 euros). The reception is very helpful.
