Our 1st impressions of the apartment was that it was very clean, spacious and well equipped. In the morning once we got our bearings we discovered that we were in a good location, 10 min walk to nearest beach and small parade of restaurants, bars and shops and a decent 20 min walk along the boardwalk on the seafront takes you into La Cala De Mijas. The complex itself was nice and quiet and well maintained with a lovely swimming pool area. We had a ground floor garden apartment which was nice and private. We arrived late at night so had to do the automatic check-in, which was easy to do but would have been easier if we had chosen English as the language! Anyway, we muddled through the Spanish translation and collected our keys and map of the complex and we found our apartment quite easily even though it was 2 am in the morning. There was plenty of towels, complementary toiletries, tea, coffee, wine and water which was very welcome. The staff are friendly and very responsive to any requests.
The only thing we found uncomfortable was no air con in the bedrooms, the staff do supply a stand up fan but the bedrooms got really warm so sleep was abit of an issue. The cooking hob was abit lame but we ate out every evening so wasn’t a big issue for us, oh and don’t plug the kettle in the same socket as the boiler as it trips the electrics plug it in somewhere else.

It was very clean on arrival. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you need although there was no oven. The pool area was very nice. Beautiful view from the balcony. Great wifi. Washing machine was a bonus. Place was quiet overnight
The bed in the main bedroom was very small for a double. It was very uncomfortable to sleep in. I didn’t like the pillows as they were sausage shaped and uncomfortable to sleep on. No AC in the bedroom, it was very hot at night. There was a ceiling fan which helped a bit. There is quite a steep walk up a hill from where all the restaurants etc are. Was a bit tiresome after a few days especially in the heat. There are no lounging chairs by the pool, you have to rent them by the day or weekly. Also no beach towels provided. It’s a beach holiday, who takes a beach towel with them? Also it would be nice to have a small amount of dishwashing liquid provided just until you can get the the supermarket.
