We had a great stay at the Cortsland Hotel. The staff were brilliant and so helpful throughout our stay. The hotel has a nice feel and is well located in St John’s.

All of the staff were wonderful. Very friendly and helpful and so welcoming when we returned for a second time later in our trip. It was a convenient place to stay when we changed islands on our way home. The food had a lovely Caribbean flavour although the menu was limited and you had to pre order. Thea pool was great but it was of a walk to the town centre.

My son and I had a wonderful time. We arrived on Christmas Day but had no idea the outside dining options were very limited. The staff accommodated us with lunch and dinner and breakfast the next morning. They also assisted with booking our morning tour. We are thankful for everyone at Cortsland for making our holiday a joyous experience.

Proximity to Cedar Valley and the courteous staff. The menu is limited and the need to have a 3 hour notice for food is an inconvenience Rooms are missing simple necessities such as bottle openers, the availability of pepper sauce with food etc

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities are a bit dated but well kept. Cold AC in bedrooms, beer and wine available on site but no dining within walking distance.

There were six of us in my group, children 9, 14, 15; we arrived on a Sunday and had a few 29" suitcases, the receptionist was abrupt even with us checking in, pretty much saying "I need passports for everyone" nothing much before and nothing much after. I felt she didn't want to work on a Sunday. The room was on the second floor, approximately 12-14 steps going up, the receptionist is the same person who took us to our room, she was all the way at the top of the steps when I had to call to her and ask her if there was an elevator or someone to help take the bags up, she said "no, no one is working", and that there were no rooms on the first floor. I said we have a lot of bags, that's when she came back down to take my handbag, which is the only item she carried up, never thinking of any options. ROOMS: the set up is one space with a common/shared living room & kitchen, then two rooms (one with two beds and one with three beds). Our room had 3 beds, 1 squeaked loudly, the windows wouldn't close, one of the windows was cracked, on the last day I saw that one of our pillows was rolled up foam padding (similar to what is in a cushion) and the pillow was torn he beds only had the top sheet (no bed cover). the grounds are beautiful, the pool is nice, nothing is really walkable, the beach requires a taxi. Perfect if you don't want to do much and/or don't have high expectations. one of the sliding doors is accessible to outside and was a struggle to lock, common space was stifling

The property is generally clean and well serviced. However some more amenities such as coffee and cream should be provided, including bottled water. I would recommend the property to others. Nice quiet place.

Very friendly, kind, effecient staff. Straightforward, quick check in. Tasty breakfast with accompanying fresh fruits. Comfortable rooms with much needed air conditioning. Beds comfortable and rooms spacious. Good distance from the airport and travel arrangements on demand arrived in a very timely manner. Beautiful well manicured grounds. A good lay over for a night. Thank you!

The staff was very friendly and the location was good very easy to walk to the store or down to the port to do some shopping was a good place to sleep if you want somewhere to stay that isn’t all inclusive this would be a good place the front staff was very helpful if you need help getting a taxi as well overall would recommend

The staff were great and very helpful Our room was comfortable However, the website states that Our dining room is well known for its West Indian specialities and continental favourites. Savour tropical drinks poolside or in the cozy lounge. This was not open during our stay and there was no ‘shuttle’ to the beach which was one reason for choosing this hotel We didn’t have a toaster, enough plates, any oven proof dishes to prepare meals in the oven or knives to prepare the food But we had a very relaxing holiday and enjoyed eating al fresco on our balcony Thank you

I enjoyed my stay here. The place was peaceful Quiet and beautiful. The Staff was so friendly and helped me with all I needed. The food was great and I wish it wasn't so hard for me to get around or I would have stayed there for my entire trip.

The room was spacious and clean but there were no food services available when I arrived (around 9:00pm) and there were no close by restaurants. Food access continued to be difficult for all meals that I was there for. Guests probably need a rental car.

No restaurant No food No bar nothing to drink. Pool and pool area disgusting. No hot water so not able to shower. Room was full of mosquitos multiple bites. A totally terrible night. Very misrepresented.

Was given a room with poor air condition. No kettle, no drinking water nor glasses or cups. Had to go to reception to beg for a glass of water the following morning in order to take my medication waited from 7am till 7.45am when receptionist arrived. Asked about an evening meal to purchase and was told by the receptionist not possible as too busy with the wedding reception went to bed hungry and thirsty after an eight hours flight from London. There was no fire escape procedure explained and no sign of a fire exit . A blank phone with no directory in room. Receptionist taking us to our room dumped us in the room as the room booked air condition not working and she rushed off to help with wedding reception taking place with the music and loud talking keeping us awake in a hot stuffy room with no food or drinking water. The shower curtain pole was loose and fall on me when I attempted to draw to shower Loose electric exposed wired leading to the television we were scared to use the television. All in all we paid to spend a night in mini hell

The room is okay, clean. But the breakfast is cheap, and expensive. The manager even tried to double the price from one day to another, from 8 from 18 US $ ! And there are lots of mosquitoes due to stagnant water in the common areas.

This was a one night stay while waiting for the boat. Rooms were clean, staff friendly. Had supper and breakfast. Food was good, service was good. Walking down to the docks through the gate and shopping area, take a right for a block. Nice bar , much cheaper than the bars in the shopping area.

While not a popular spot these days it is a good option if you need a hotel in Antigua and dont need to be on the beach. Hotel very clean, nice grounds, handy to town. Staff were very good, served a nice breakfast even though there were few people staying there. Medical students often stay here.

Firstly,breakfast needs to be priority for guest who pays for it. They advertise continental breakfast and on my first day they had a conference and my friends and I were told we cannot be served until after the conference was finished. We felt as though we were second class and had no priority as guest.to make matters worst they only served us eggs with toast bread and told us we had to pay the full cost of the breakfast with no remorse... of course we didn't bother to have breakfast at the hotel for the rest of our stay there. The beds were uncomfortable as they are springy and uneven making sleep very difficult. Hats off to the two housekeepers who tried their best to make us as comfortable within their own ways Ms Val and Ms. Elizabeth Aka . Zeneida... both were extrodinary in their own way. The staff needs to be more accomadative.

Stayed overnight. Hotel is close to the airport and ferry terminal. Helpful reception girl, she arranged a taxi for us to go to a pizza restaurant in st.john's, which turned out to be very good . Beds are comfy but the local dogs are noisy, and unfortunately the guest in the room next to us woke up very early ( before 6am) and left the alarm ringing for the entire duration of having a shower and the walls are thin. Had a good breakfast cooked especially for us. Overall it was a good overnight stay as the hotel is clean and the grounds are well maintained. Good for overnight stay but a bit noisy, some aircraft noise can be heard very early in the morning.
