All was great, the check in was quick and easy, the service was friendly, and professional. The bathroom had dirty walls and baseboards that were not cleaned, otherwise everything was clean, and smelled great.

Was perfect..... Except no light bulbs in 2 of the lamps

Needed a quick stay in Sioux City and have had good luck with the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Miami. Obviously Sioux City, Iowa isn’t on the same scale as Miami, but it was a very nice hotel and seemed quite clean as well. Checking was very fast and the front desk staff were super friendly and very helpful! Complimentary drinks upon check in were a welcome surprise. The standard twin queen room itself was very spacious, with a large bathroom and plenty of space in the bedroom area. Room was mostly clean other than some dust here and there. There was a pair of women’s dress slacks crumpled in the chair, so not sure how that was missed when the room was cleaned. Not a big deal. Just took them to front desk. The only downside to the room was the smell. Perhaps we were above the casino, but the room smelled like bowling alley or casino all the time. A faint but persistent smell of cigarette smoke. In fact the entire property smelled like cigarettes. We are at the main restaurant,Main + Abbey, and the food was wonderful. Drinks were great etc. Again though, just off the casino floor, the cigarette smell was pretty strong. I guess it only seemed strange because I’ve been to several hotel/casino combos and many of them you would never know they even allow smoking. Perhaps the ventilation system wasn’t working properly or something. All in all, not sure I would stay here again, given the other great hotels in the area.

Rarely, in this day and age can a couple just simply escape the business life and be a couple. From work to parenting three teenagers we are constantly taking work calls, taking care of our home, or someone has something going on. Thank you to HRC for giving us the opportunity to reconnect and have freaking fun without the “blockers” in our house preventing us from gambling and boozing while having a blast doing so. Wins: Customer service - lobby staff. Fun accommodating and kind. Bar and casino staff. Fun, friendly and just good at what they do. Slots and tables - the machines pay! We had fun playing! Fuel - time wise we didn’t get a chance to eat at main and Abbey but we did enjoy fuel, Sunday for lunch we ate the hell out of their burgers and fries. Hotel room. We had to downgrade to get a bathtub, wife enjoys soaking peacefully without the kids knocking on the door every damn minute. Unfortunately it was an outdated bathtub situation. Drain always drained or at least made the sound of one draining. It is what it is. But I think we are paying for ambiance and location to casino. Ultimately amazing stay and we’re sorry we had to leave. Thank you hard rock.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly. No complaints whatsoever. 👌
