Eric helped us check in, and he was outstanding. Welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and customer focused. He was very thorough in communicating all of the expectations for every step of the check in process. The gentleman at the front desk when we checked out was also extremely friendly and helpful. Both employees came out from behind the desk to open doors for me and my family. We were fortunate to have gotten a room that faced south, and the views of Manhattan were fantastic.

Small, well-designed hotel and efficient room layout. Just the basics. Very clean. Desk person professional. Perfect location if visiting hospital. Great access to subway system. Hallway can be a bit noisy at times.

Nice hotel, good location - way uptown but really close to an MTA stop with access to some of Manhattan's main lines. Prices are usually reasonable, and were less crazy than elsewhere in the city during the (2023-2024) Holidays. Staff are great and extremely helpful, and if you get a higher-floor room facing south, you have an awesome view. Also very clean. It does get a bit noisy - there's a loud sound that seems to intermittently come from the elevator (shaft) - though many people might not mind -, and you can hear your neighbors if they're talking loudly, or anything going on right outside your room. The rooms themselves are good, the size of a standard room just basically being what you'd expect in Manhattan, but there's definitely worse.

My family stayed at the hotel While I had a hospital procedure down the block. I was still charged that night after giving notice of leaving before checkout that day.

It was great for the reason needed. Friend ahving surgery at Columbia. 3 block walk or ubers always available. Clean, quiet and hotel itself very safe. Staff was super nice! There is limited dining right there but there is a few places on Broadway right near hospital.

Saw a bug in my room. Asked for water bottles and was told no water offered after checkin. No lotion or toothpaste provided so make sure to bring ur own. Rooms are very small

The Edge was perfect! The room was clean, it was quiet, staff were great! I found parking nearby. It’s also close to the subway.

Good staff, helped us with taxi to the airport and getting around the area. Comfortable room and bathroom. Definitely would recommend and if headed near this area (Washington Heights) would stay there again.

The room is not as clean as suggested especially for people concerned about cleanliness after surgery. The room is extremely small for one person much less four. There are no luggage racks, drawers or shelves. There is no counter space in the bathroom either. The bathroom did not have towels for four people and when we requested more they checked to make sure we had reserved for four people. We had. There is practically no light for the mirror in the entry. Also, the water was turned off one day from 11-4 per the city. When we returned that evening there was no hot water and this continued until the next evening. When we asked for the sheets to be changed so that they would be clean for returning from surgery the cleaning lady said “no, not today”. We had to request sheets to change the bed ourselves. The room in the basement with the only microwave is rented some evenings for religious services so you cannot go in to heat up your food or sit at the tables or couch to eat.

I appreciated the fact that the hotel was in walking distance from the hospital. I felt safe walking to and from the hospital. The staff were super nice and very accommodating which I appreciated very much. I would stay here again if I needed to be close to the hospital.
