We stayed at this property with our two children recently. I have nothing but good things to say about this beautiful property and the great staff. We stayed in a suite on the top floor. While it was a bit dated, we had plenty of space and it was very clean. We had the best sleeps at the property. It was lovely waking up to the church bells and the birds singing. Breakfast was great!
Things to keep in mind - there is no dinner on site so you do need a car and there is no elevator. So if you are staying on the top floor, you have to get your luggage up there.
If we come back to this area, we would stay at Villa Alta again.

Amazing stay at Villa Alta. The Villa is very beautiful and well maintained, we felt like we lived in a Palace. Our room was Suite Musica and is really recommended. From our suite it was possible to use a large and magnificent Sala Principale with large windows and long balcony. The villa and its suites are very aristocratical and furnished with beautiful and stylish sofas and chairs. The decor at the entire villa is just amazing and breathtaking. The view from the balcony and the terrasse made us speechless. We enjoyed long breakfasts and lunches there every day. The pool area is very relaxing and clean. Also an amazing thermal spa pool in natural stone with a Fontaine, just above the main pool area, we loved it. The whole premises is surrounded by a beautiful garden which is worthy nice walks. Everybody were extremely friendly and we really felt us welcomed and as a part of an Italian family. We used the villas shuttle buss to transport us to Pisa, Lucca, vineyards for wine tasting experiences and airport, it was absolutely worth it and it was no problem for us to be there without renting a car. A huge thanks to Florian for driving us and helping us.
A huge thanks to our Chef and waiter Paola! The food she and her colleagues (Sandra, Diego,++) prepared for breakfast and lunches was delicious and I and my husband literally leaked the plates.
The rooms are very well maintained and super clean! Towels smell delicious!
